Drunk
"Three more," Dominik told the bartender in a raspy voice as he downed a couple shots of hard liquor. By the time he set the shot glasses back down, the girl had the next filled. Dom slid one to me before downing the other two.
I quickly threw back the liquor and cringed at the burning sensation that traveled down my throat. We were a few shots in and my senses were already starting to blur around the edges.
"You might want to slow down a little," I told Dom as he ordered more shots. He had already had almost twice as much as I had and was only just starting to slur his words.
"Do you know how much alcohol it takes to get a Russian drunk?" he asked, squinting at me in the dim lighting. The booze in his system made his accent thicker and sloppier, and I had no idea I could find a Russian accent so damned sexy.
"I'm guessing a lot," I blinked heavily as I accepted another shot. Turning to the bartender, I asked, "Can I have a Dark Horse?"
She nodded before moving to fill up a tall glass. I watched her with a careful eye. Being famous meant people were willing to do crazy things, and though she didn't appear to be one of those psychotic fans, one could never be too careful.
Setting the dark liquid in front of me, I eagerly reached out to grab it and took a large swig. I felt relief at the lesser burn going down my throat. Straight alcohol was never really my thing.
"What do you feel?" Dom slurred from beside me. I looked at him, his image wavering slightly as I squinted at him. Were we really still playing this game?
"Disconnected," I said after a few laborious moments of self assessment. My brain felt all muddled and slow as if it weren't connected to my body.
"Explain it to me," he said, reaching out for another shot.
"I can't... think... straight," I was vaguely aware of the fact that my own voice was starting to slur. "My mind is... fuzzy and my senses... are dull, like I'm underwater."
"A bit like being in love... is it not?" Dom asked. I looked over at him to see him fiddling with an empty shot glass. I opened my mouth to reply, but was cut off by a very loud squeal.
"OMG, Collin King! I'm like your biggest fan!"
Oh Hell.
I swiveled on my bar stool to face the girl, but was startled when she leapt onto my lap and forced her tongue down my throat.
"Nnnnggh," I made a panicked sound as my back pressed painfully into the bar. I tried to push the girl off, but she was relentless and latched onto me like a parasite. Bright lights flashed around us, but my main concern was how to get the bloody girl off of me.
Reaching behind me in pure desperation, my fingers wrapped around my half empty beer and I wasted little time in emptying it completely on her head.
I soaked myself in the process, but the unexpected shower was thankfully enough for her to gasp and pull away from me.
Pushing her off of me completely, I stood and wiped her lipstick off of my lips with the back of my hand.
"Look, Lady," I said hoarsely as I turned to face the scantily dressed strawberry blonde. Thinking back to what the reporters said about Katrina earlier, I continued, "I'm flattered, but I am in a... relationship at the moment."
The crazy girl narrowed her eyes at me and I turned to look at Dom for help. Only... his seat was empty.
"Dom?" I asked worriedly. When I scanned the room and didn't see his snow white hair anywhere, I turned to the man sitting beside his seat and asked, "Excuse me. Did you see where... my friend went?"
"Out back," the guy jabbed his thumb over his shoulder to point towards a rear exit.
I thanked him quickly, paying no attention to the psycho girl, who was being shown out by some of the bigger men in the bar, as I rushed out the back door.
"Dom?" I asked as the door closed behind me. It was quieter out here, and the night air felt cool and refreshing against my skin.
"Dom?" I asked again as I spotted him swaying on his feet, placing his hand on the wall to steady himself as he ran his other hand through his crisp white hair.
I gripped the railing beside me as I stumbled down the few steps to the ground. My feet weren't exactly working the way I wanted them to, and it was a miracle I made it down without falling.
As I got closer to him, I realized he was muttering what sounded like Russian words under his breath.
"Dom?" I placed my hand on his shoulder. He whipped around so fast, the movement made me dizzy, and I found myself gripping both of his shoulders to keep us balanced.
As the world slowly stopped spinning, I looked up to see his crystal blue eyes fixed upon me.
"Dom?" I asked again, this time for a different reason. He made no move to answer me because he was already leaning forward.
I didn't move as his lips gently brushed against the edge of my mouth. Realizing his aim was slightly off, he turned his head until they were fully over mine.
My eyes fluttered shut and my heart stuttered as I slowly reciprocated the kiss. I gently sucked and tugged on his bottom lip as I ran my tongue over the soft skin.
Wow, that lucky penny worked fast...
I felt Dom's fingers slowly weave into my hair, and as he clenched his fists into it, the kiss deepened. I took a step forward and pinned him against the wall, forcing my tongue through his slightly parted lips so I could explore his mouth. A deep moan rumbled in his chest and into my mouth as he pushed forward, bringing our bodies impossibly closer.
We fought for dominance until he somehow managed to pin me against the wall. His hands were shaking a bit as they gripped my hips, but that didn't stop him.
Needing to breathe, I pulled away slightly to suck in a large breath. Dominik wasn't finished, however, and he continued by trailing kisses down my neck. Ragged breaths escaped me as his lips got slower and slower, torturing me with every millimeter they traveled.
Then, all at once, they stopped. Dom became suddenly heavy as he slumped into me. I caught him with my arms around his waist as he totally lost consciousness.
His head rested against my shoulder, forehead to my neck with his features smooth and calmed by sleep.
"Shit," I muttered under my breath as I tried to figure out what to do. I had no idea where he lived, or how to get him there, and I couldn't just leave him somewhere.
Closing my eyes in an attempt to focus my thoughts, I decided to take him to my apartment. He'd be okay there.
Adjusting my hold on him, I fished out my cellphone and dialed my driver. I knew it was late, but I really needed to get him home.
