Pacifica's POV

"So.. Is everyone ready" Dipper asks. Everyone was in the apartment all seemingly ready to go. 

    "Mabel's not coming.. is she?" Candy said with disapointment. Nope. Sh's gonna go out with that stupid boy. However none of us are surprised. Gideon places his hand on Candy's shoulder. He gives her a comforting look and she smiles. 

   "I don't think so" He said in the softest way possible. I don't wan't to assume anything but how am i supposed to read that? These two were complete strangers to each other a week ago. Well not literally. It was just how they acted but now they seem to always be by each other's side. Dipper shakes his head. 

  "She has a date with Kyle. They're going rollerskating this time" Dipper says. Part of me is relieved.. the other part is very worried that thats not as innocent as it sounds. When I look over to Candy I notice her hand go for Gideons as she looks down with wide eyes. Well that totallly isn't adding to my concern.

   "That's great. They'll be around a bunch of other people. It's the weekend." Wendy chimed. I smile. She's right. He wouldn't pull anything in public.. unless he's RELLY really dumb.

    "So then it'll be harder for them to be alone together. Alright yeah I think we're ready to go now. " I said feeling satisfied. When Dipper opens the door, our worst nightmare appears. 

    "Amada?? What are you doing here?" Gideon questions her. 

     "You better be leaving" I say but she ignored me and starts looking at Candy.

   "Why aren't you at home? You haven't been to the car shop in weeks. Your father is pissed" Amada tried. Gideon shook his head.  "Oh" Amada smirked evily. "I see the group has collected a 'nobody'." She says while staring down Candy. She looked proud of herself for that one. That was one of the most pathetic insults I have ever heard. Candy walks right up to her. Oh boy. Candy might hate Amada and Kyle more than anyone else. 

    "Is that the best you got, Jean?" Candy threatened. We we're all taken back by her boldness.

     "Oh wow. You're a bold brat" Amada sneered back.

      "Listen shitbag, today is really important. We dont need your BS getting in the way"  Candy says. She smirked obviosuly being very satisfied with telling off Amada. TI never expected Candy to curse like that. Amada's eyes went wide again in disblief. She looked over to Gideon. Done playing Amada?

     "We need to get you back to your father. It's been way to long.. and what about me?? Hello Im your girlfriend" Amada whines. Candy continues smikring. Good for her. She definitely had a better insult. 

       "We're busy today Amada. I've already told you I wont be going back. I have a life outside of you. So.. deal with it" Everyone including myself we're shocked but in a good way. That was amazing! Gideon walks out in front this time and pushes Amada aside. When we're all out I lock the door and wave in a very petty way to Amada.

       "This... is.. SO... Tiring..." I said in between breaths as we walked up a mountain. 

    "Yeah I'm surprised you went along with this" Dipper laughed. I then hear Candy laugh too. Nerdy Jerks.  

     "Hmph" I replied flipping my head around holding it high. I sigh. "There's some kind of magic at the end of this... so as awful as this is.. it'll be worth it in the end" We then hear rustling from up in the trees

     "Woohoo! Whats up dudes?" We look up to see Wendy in the trees. Likefreaking Tarzan. 

   "Wendy what are you doing up there?" I question. The others admired her coolness. Especially Dipper and Candy. I really hope It's just admiring. Dipper you have a girlfriend!

    "Oh come on. This way is faster and a lot more fun"  I envy you Wendy. Over the past few years I've come to care about Wendy a lot. She's like an older sister to me. Even I looked up to her. However I'd like to see Dipper look at me the way he looks at her. I noticed Candy looked at Wendy similary to how Dipper did. But I am not the one who gets into People's buissness. That is all Mabel. I will leave it to Mabel.

    "Maybe we should rest" Gideon suggested. The fact that HE's telling me to rest is not a good sign. Wendy and I put him through some a lot of training. I admit I'm pretty proud of myself for how Gideon turned out. I introduced him to just using shampoo without hair gel. It did wonders. 

    "No... No... I'm fine"  I say while slowing down. "How much longer?"  Even though it was cold, walking up and up made it feel so warm. Thank god we live in the north and it's colder in the mountains.

     "One more hill..." Gideon says. I sigh in relief. "Just 20 more minutes" WHAT? JUST?

     "What?!  20 more minutes of this walking???" 

      "We can take a break" Dipper repeated in other words for Gideon. "Pacifica you're badly sweating" Im what? My eyes widen and I feel my forehead. It's wet and warm. EW. 

   "No no. Pacifica Northwest DOES NOT sweat" I freak. Dipper puts his hands up in defense then leans a little. 

   "Ok... but i'm pretty sure she do" Dipper continues. Shut up. 

     "Pffft. This is the best trip ever" Candy commented. Haha. I roll my eyes. My complaining was making the trip fun... okay even I was having trouble not laughint at myself. 

       "Hey look there's a stream right there. We can go wash off your... non sweat" Gideon smirks at me. I look at him with surprsie. REALLY? 

       "Not you too" I reply as we make our way to the stream. Ic otniously cup the water and splash it on my face. The others do similarly except for Candy who broought a bottole.

       "I can't be the only one who brought a bottle" Candy comments. 

       "Well excuse me, I wasn't aware finding answers to those weird sudden abilities was gonna be at the end of an hour and a half uphill hike. " Pacifica deflected. Candy smiled. I started to think teh group didn't complete hate my old sass. As if it was good they still recognized that 12 year old Pacifica was apart of me. AFter all that is what happens. Those phases and old personalities become part of the new you.  "Oh by the way if anyone asks, I do NOT sweat. i dont care that i'm no longer the most popular in town. We will not speak of this to ANYONE in the town" I state threateningly. 

      "It might be weird but I've kinda missed this Pacifica" Dipper finally admits. My face feel warms again. RIght before he's able to catch it, I look away. Dammit. Why does he have this affect on me?

      "Alright come on. Everyone done? We got a magical cave to make it to" Wendy said with a grin. The others smiled and started walking off. Pacifica still flustered from Dipper's comment. She grabbed her arm awkwardly.

    "It's been 20 minutes! We have to be here" I beg after looking at the time of my phone. I notice I have no bars. "No cellphone reception??? Okay If we dont find some magic we officaly came here for nothing" I announce. The others just smile and Candy points ahead. How dare they enjoy my freak outs. 

    "There's the cave. Yall wanna walk in together or?" Candy questions. We all nod and and go in as a group. We spend a good 10 minutes looking for the prophecy graffiti. 

    "What are you doing" I ask noticing Candy taking some small sparkly rocks. Candy turns around and smiles. 

     "Collecting crystals for energy. You especially could use a lot more positive energy." Candy comments. She's not wrong but RUDE. 

       "Once we see some magic I bet I will feel more positive" I say defensivley. Candy frowns. I feel somewhat bad. It seems her offer of the helpful crystals was genuine. 

      "Not all magic is visisble. Like energy"  Candy tries to explain to me. However it confused me so I chose to ignore it. As we continue walking we finally hit an end. There was the prophecy graffiti on the wall.

      "Wait a minute... I'm not even on this.. so how would that be possible?" Candy ask, confused. She's right.. she's seen the glow twice but she wasn't with us when we we're in teh circle. Something is off about that. The others only strugg. One mystery to worry about today was enough I guess.

    "Anyone wanna try just touching the signs??" Wendy suggests. It's an idea. I doubt it'll harm us. 

     "That's really random..." Dipper replied. Gideon shruggs. Yes random but we came up here to see if it was worth it. 

     "Why not? We have to do random things to know what this thing is" He said as he put his hand on his symbol... the pentagram with the eye... No one ever understood the eye. That may just be one mystery that'll we'll never solve.  Then Wendy touches her symbol, the icebag. Cool in the face of danger... lucky. I touch mine. The llama. I still have no idea what my symbol means. And then of course Dipper with the pine tree symbol. Suddenly I felt a vibration and all around me the blue aura was back. I look to the others notciing I wasnt the only one surrounded by the blue aura. I look back to the wall notcing the graffiti was glowing as well. As if it was filling up with magic. 

      "This is gonna sound stupid... but do yall wanna try a spell?" Candy asks excitedly. Already? And I wish that's how things worked. I smile sympathetically/

     "Magic isn't real... And I know what you're thinking. But I mean that kind of magic. Spells... wait. Oh my gosh Nevermind. Dipper that journal was full of spells!" I realize. THE JOURNAL. Those were incantations! Maybe we are capabale of more magic now. Maybe we can actually control it now. Dipper's eyes widen. Bet he just realized I'm right. Dipper did try a spell at the Northwest Party when we were 12 to get rid of the ghost.

      "Sceince and magic.... co existing?" Dipper wondered aloud. 

"You shouldn't be surprsied. Gravity Falls is all types of weird" Giddeon added.  "Don't you guys remeber when I had the amulet?"

         "I prefer not to" Dipper answers. The rest of us nod in agreement. That amulet caused a lot of trouble. I heard Dipper almost died... and now we like to move on from that thanlfully. Gideon rolls his eyes. Listen we're doing this for you. 

         "My point is, that was 'that kind' of magic. Or at least some type of that kind. Magic goes deeper" Gideon attempts to explain. So it might actually be possible for us to.. have the magic like the magic from the amulets inside of us...

          "So lets try a quick spell and see if it works. It looks like you guys get magically charged. I can't believe Mabel is missing out on this" Candy rants a little aloud. "Anyways" she says as she gestures to Gideon. He starts to trace the shape of a stick? maybe a wand? in the air.

         "He's not kind. Bring her here today. He wont mind. Just for a day" He says as he finsihes up what sounds like a spell. We look around. Nothing happens.

          "Well that was usel-" I try but get cut off y a flasg of light. I naturally close my eyes in reaction to the brightness but when I open them, theres Mabel in front of us.  

     "Mabes! Oh my gosh it worked!" I say running up to her.

      "Where am I?! Pacifica? Guys? Whats goin on?" She practically bombards us with questions.  

          "What the hell?? What am I doing here?" Mabel thinks aloud. "Guys whats going on?" She questioned. 

           "We discovered magic and now we're magically charged" Wendy says casually. Like it's just a normal sunday. 

           "Huh??" 

          "I brought you here with a spell after getting magically charged from the prophecy" Gideon explains to her. That sounds insane but we now know it's the truth. This day had actually been quite successful.

            "I- magic?-you?!- summon?!" Mabel tried to put together a sentence but failed. "You know what, this is for another day. I don't need to think about all of this right now. I was on a date. It was going really well too" Mabel doesn't know this because she's the new kid.. but Kyle is known as a player. He plans when to make his move. Mabel's first kiss was with Mermando.. I'm aware of that. I'm also aware that she was 12 and it was a peck. Does she even know that kisssing goes beyond that?

    "I swear Kyle and I were about to kiss!" Good. We got her at the right time. 

            "Come on. Send me back." Mabel demands.

            "No thanks. I'm not doing that. Get your magical charge and you can do it for yourself" Oh shit. We all gasp. I never expected Gideon to speak so boldy. That had to be the meanest thing Gideon has ever said to Mabel. Mabel's eyes had widened in shock and dismay. 

            "Well fine!" 

              "Fine!" That was a quick argument between the two.. I could only imagine that to happen between Dipper and I or Mabel and I. Seeing it between Mabel and Gideon felt surreal.She somehow already knew to put her hand on her symbol for the charge. When she saw the aura connect all around her she felt that it should be enough. it was quick. 

          "How'd you know?" Wnedy asks

          "Lucky guess" Mabel answers. "More Time with Kyle I lack, Take me back"  and like that, another flash and Mabel was gone. 

             "How'd she know to do the spell like that?" I wondered. She did it so effortlessly.

              "Literally most tv shows with magic show them like that." Candy replies. Oh... I didn't grow up watching much tv.

    Meanwhile Wendy played around with the powers a bit more. She wanted to see if she could get that weird ice power again. She touched a large rock and closed her eyes. When she opened her ice the rock was covered in ice. 

            "So we're just gonna accept now that we're magically charged and act like this was a normal day?" Wendy asks. We look from her, to the tock and back at her. We all shurg and nod in agreement. I love how causally we're accepting this. We just became witches. No big deal.              

"Yeah"

             "Uh huh"

              "Pretty much" They all said.

               "Um guys, look" I say as I pick up a brach with my symbol on it. I wave it around. "I dont need a wire, help me start a fire!" I point it at a pile of wood and it becomes a campire. Amazing! It's beautiful.

        "Did you just do that with a random stick?" Dipper questions. I shake my head.

      "It had my symbol." Everyone immeditely starts looking for their own sticks. Nice. I wasthe first one. This is gonna change everything

           "Thank god. Downhill" I sigh in relief. No more climbing. Wendy and Candy look to me with concerned faces.

           "It's still gonna be a long walk sis" Wendy said. I sigh again thsi time in defeat not relief.

           "Here" Candy says as she hands me her water bottle. I look at her with a questioning expression. She nods giving me full permission. I wanted to be sure. I know we used to kinda? hate each other. 

          "So are we like... wizards now?" Dipper asks. Well we're definitely magical now. Thats for one.

           "I like the term witches better. And no thats not just for girls" Candy replied whilst smiling satisifactually. 

           "Hey lets not tell anyone what we found" Gideon asks. I have to agree. This would cause even more chaos.. 

           "More lying?" Dipper questions trying to make a point that it didnt sound like a good idea. Well this time its lying for a good reason

           "Yeah I don't think people are gonna react well to our magical abilites... especially after weirdmaggedon and the Never Mind All That Act." Gideon says making it clear this was something we would have to hide from the town.

            "He makes a good point" Candy added on. 

            "I don't think mayor Tyler would like to hear about any more weirdness" Wendy chimes. The whole town had been truamtized. Pretending it never happened, to them felt like the best option. Ignorance is bliss is basically what they're living by. However those on the wheel including Candy and even Tambry had decided though what happened was traumatic, it was to important for them to want to forget. 

            "I guess.. but that means we're gonna be living in a lie" Dipper says with worry. I chuckle.

             "Heh yeah welcome to my life" I reply as we continue walking down. "Wait we didn't tell Mabel to keep this a secret... you don't think?" I asked hopefully. Mabel you better not spill. 

              "We'll be fine. She was so caught up with Kyle she didnt even want to stay to test out more magic. IT'S MABEL AND MAGIC. if she used it just to go back there's no way her mind is still on it. " Candy says.

             "She said she thought they were about to kiss.. gosh I hope they didn't" I cross my fingers. The others looked at her curiously. 

           "Why do you care?" Wendy asked with a sly smile. Pacifica's face once again went tomato red. That's right Wendy is in college. She doesn't know about Kyle's reputations except for some stuff Candy has told her. 

           "W-well Mabel is my best friend now and according to Candy, Kyle isn't good for her" I try but am actually satsified with my excuse. 

         "Or anybody realy" Candy added again. This caused the others to smile and laugh a little. 

        "Mabel's not really good at staying out of trouble with guys" Dipper says. Poor Mabel. Candy told me about the incident with Several Timez. 

         "Noo, Really?" Wendy says sarcastically but with a bright smile. She enjoys messing with Dipper I've noticed... well to be honest we all. However they had that close guy and girl best friendship. I kinda wish i had that relationship with him. In a way I guess I have that with Mabel.

        "My point is, I don't think she knows when a relationship doesn't.. or shouldn't work out." Dipper explains. 

         "She has really only been dumped" Candy akncolwedged. Mabel gets dumped and Wendy dumps... interesting. Well Wendy doesn't do that anymore since realizing guys are actually a waste of time. Because she' a lesbian.

          "Not exactly. She dumped the gnomes and Gideon.." Dipper said while poiting at Gideon who frowned.  "Wait no.. I did that! Then she confirmed it" Dipper correct. Wendy and Candy  and I are unable to hold our laughter. 

            "Pffft you dumped him" Candy asks while holding her stomach. Dipper rolls his eyes but nods. 

            "She didn't want to hurt him becuase he was just a kid" Aw wow. She really did try to give him a chance. Just to be friends. No wonder she was so stubborn about it now

            "What? Thats insane. She had no reason to spare my feeling" Gideon questions

         "Yeah... thats really weird" Wendy said. 

           "We need to stop giving each other such a hard time. Especially when it comes to things we did in the past" I intervene. I don't want to be remebered for my mistakes. So why would I be okay with anyone else being remebered that way. Everyone looks to me. They seem to understand where I'm coming from.

          "There's only a drop left" Candy notices. She looks at it both in shock and confused. Listen it wasa very long walk. and I didn't take as much advnatge of that stream as I should've obviously.

             "Mhm" was my only reply as I smirk. She shakes her head and laughs. Maybe I should try getting closer to her. She was Mabel's other best friend.

       "Mabelll we're back!!" I say in a sing songy voice as I walk into the apartment

      "How'd the date go?" Dipper asked as Gideon followed us inside. Wendy and Candy had already gone back to their apartment. Mabel comes walking down stairs with a half smile. Somethings wrong..

         "Hey guys. It went... alright" She answered. "What about for you?" Yup. Something is definitely wrong.

        "Hey heyy" I go. "You're avoiding a question about dating"  

        "I-i'm not a-avoding any question. no q-question. N-nope" Mabel replies awkwardly. 

       "You okay?" Gideon asks with concern. See? Even the boys know something isn't right.

        "You always want to talk about your dates" Dipper mentions. Mabel looked down and sadly smiled.

         "We almost kissed" Mabel replied. We all give perplexed reactions. What happened? Did he notice the magic?

          "But you didn't?" Pacifica asked. "Why not?"

          "I-" she hesitates for a minute and then sighs in defeat

         "I've only ever kissed one person" I swear Gideon almost said what. He definitley look surprised but he held back from saying anything. 

       "It wasn't exactly a person" Dipper interjected. "He was a merman." 

        "Oh yeah he was kinda Dipper's f-"Mabel tried while grinning but was interupted by Dipper's hand covering her mouth. Dipper's what?  

      "We are not speaking of that" Dipper says sternly. And I swear I hear him mumble something about CPR... which means "And it was reverse CPR!" Dipper whisper yelled then suddenly moved his hand. "I cant believe you still do the hand licking thing" Dipper continued annoyed. Gideon and Pacifica looked at each other confused.. They truly did not know as much as they thought. 

       "So Kyle leaned in... and I rejected" Mabel explained. "My firt kiss was a peck with a merman when I was 12. We're in highschool now..  I'm not ready. I know he's expecting more"  Mabel finsihes. Wow... she actually knows...

        "Mabel thats really mature of you" I say with surprise but feeling very proud of her.

      "All I needed to hear is that you rejected a kiss from that jerk. I'm satisifed" Gideon quickly said. "See ya guys tomorrow" With that Gideon went upstairs. I feel Gideon knows even more about Kyle that I did. After all he'd become much closer to Candy. I wonder if his reaction To Mabel being with someone who wasn't with Kyle would be better. 

      "I agree with Pacifica. I'm really proud of you sis" Dipper says with a smile of relief. "But also really tired from today. I think Im gonna turn in.. awkward sibling hug?" Dipper offered. 

          "Awkward siblings hug" They make me wish I had a sibling. They're sibling relationship was adorable and so sweet. There's so much I miss out on as an old child who was raised rich.

Mabel in I lay down in our bed with the tv on. 

        "You said you didn't want to kiss Kyle yet... that you didn't feel ready. Is it also because you didn't want to embarras yoursef by showing him you only knew the peck kiss?" Pacifica asked.

          "Maybe.." Mabel replies. I smile. You never want someone to know how little you really know. High School is different.

     "Well remeber, you said you weren't ready yet. Eventually the longer you want a relationship with Kyle, hes gonna expect kissing. Otherwise you're really just friends who flirt" I try to crack a joke. I get a small laugh from my brunette in return. She then lays her hed on my shoulder. I like being like this.

        "So.. we're witches now?" Mabel asks trying to change the subject. I don't blame her. Plus the magic discovery is pretty amazing.

         "Yeah, pretty much" I answer. We both smile feeling satisfied and comfortable. She can be stubborn and... I suppose still am a bit too but she's still the best choice I've made for a best friend. 

           "Heh...Nice... I'm porbably gonna be the first to mess up" Mabel and magic in her hands?

        "I dont doubt it"
