7 months later.

"And you're sure you guys don't mind?" I ask Alex and David.

"Uhh relax Child" David says, clearly annoyed.

In these past 7 months, these two have become my best friends. So when they found out that Danny was coming out today they offered to carry me all the way.

"Yeah, we don't mind, we love you babe" David says.

"Hey I'm the only one you're supposed to call babe" Alex frowns.

The two start to bicker and I zone out.

Danny's coming out today, but where do we go from here. I would be lying if I said the distance didn't put a strain on our relationship.
He didn't even get a chance to apply to college or anything....

Dannys POV.

"Here" the gaurd thrust a bag in my hands.
I look in there to see the same clothes they took me to prison in.

I'm finally leaving this hell hole. I've lost alot of weight while here. Sometimes, I would even find maggots in my food. And the bathrooms.... well you probably don't want to hear that.

I slip th clothes on only for them to hang loosely around my body. As they escort me out of my cell, I see many faces watching me. Some that may have a couple years to go, some that may spend eternity in here.

Ive tried to escape multiple times but eventually stopped when month kept on getting added to my sentence.

Now I finally get to be with my girlfriend again.

I watch as they open the prison gates... I'm never coming back here.

Ok, I've been sitting on the grass at the front of these prison gates for 2 hours now and Gravity still hasn't showed up.

Maybe I could start walking until I see somebody to borrow their phone? I've actually memorized Gravitys number.

I've been walking for about 5 minutes when I finally see an old lady sitting on a bench.

"Excuse me miss can I borro-"
I trail off when she starts to eye me up and down. She takes in my dirty clothes, then the direction I'm coming from.

"HELP!!!"

"No ma'am, I'm not gonna hurt y-" I start.

"I don't have any money!! Please I-"

"Argh I don't want money, I'm just asking to borrow-"

"What's going on here?"
I turn around to see a man glaring at me.

"Nothing I was just-" He cuts me off by roughly shoving me  to the side and starts calming the old lady down.

I raise my hand up to shove him back but then I stop.
I put my hands in my pockets and walk away.

And I continue walking until I reach far into the town.

Third Person POV.

A crowd surrounded the vehicle. Some taking pictures and some conversating about what just took place.

Just out of curiosity, Danny stopped to ask what happened.

He asked the first person he saw, a young lady. Little did he know that she was the person who called the 911.

"What's going on here? Why the large crowd?" He asked.

"There was a terrible accident" she sighs before continuing "No one died though, but those three kids sustained massive injuries"

Dany nodded his head absentmindedly as he looked at the wrecked car that people were taking pictures of wtf?

"One of them is in a  I think" she continues even though he didn't ask her to.

He walks off then he remembers something and runs back to the lady.

"Can I please borrow your phone" he asks

"Umm ok?" She says and hands him the phone.

He immediately dials his girlfriends number.

he presses the call button and his eyes widen when he hears it ringing nearby.
What the fuck?

Was Gravity here? Did she stop?

He walked and tried to follow the sound of the ring.

"Hey where are you going with my phone" the lady says as she trails behind him.

He didn't even pay attention to her.

Then, he saw it. Gravitys phone on the asphalt right beside the wrecked Mercedes. His eyes widen and his breath hitches.

He turns around and almost clinks foreheads with the lady.
"The Kids that crashed, you saw them right?"

"Well ofcourse, I'm the one that called the police and told them to bring an ambulance while eveyone was taking pictures" she answers.

"Ok, how many girls were in there?

"Oh just one" she says.

Danny felt his blood pressure rise, if that was even possible.

"Can you describe her to me?" He asks

"Ummm... curly hair, like really curly-"

Danniel was absolutely sure know.

"Which hospital did they go to?"

"Umm, I'm not sure but I think they would take her to the nearest one..." she trails off then starts again.

"Do you want me to take you there?"

Danny breathed a sigh of relief. This woman was awfully nice.....

"Yes" he answered but the woman was looking at him, not saying anything.

"Now?!" He said louder than he should have. This woman was helping him after all.

"Oh yeah right sorry my car is right over here"

He follows her as she leads him to a white honda.

by the way.. don't they look for the phone and try to contact anyone? Why was it just laying there?...

They reached the hospital 20 minutes later.

Danny thanked the woman and went to step out of the car when he felt her hand on his shoulder.

"Is she your sister?" The young lady asked.

"Girlfriend..... my girlfriend" Danny answered.

"Oh..." her face immediately fell and and she took her hand off his shoulder. "Well.... your welcome.. ...bye" she says.

A very confused Danny gets out and rushes inside the hospital after telling her thank you a second time.

He immediately goes to the reception desk and asks if there's any patient by the name of Gravity Jones here.

"Well yes"  the receptionist answered after checking some papers."And what's your relation?"
"She's my girlfriend-please can I see her?"

"She just came out of surgery, plus visiting isn't allowed 'till another 2 hours"

Surgery? Danny thought to himself.
He sat on a chair, the reality just now sinking in that his girlfriend could have lost her life.

At 5 o'clock the receptionist looked over the waiting area only to see the brown haired boy sleeping in the chair, his head against the wall with his next twisted to the side in what looks to be a painful angle.

"Hey Kid"

Nothing.

"Hey !-You" she said a little louder causing his eyes to flutter open.
He was suprised that he even fell asleeep.

"You can see her now, Room 24, that way" she pointed down the hall and turned back to her work while Danny got up.

He walked down the long corridor and thought of his hatred for hospitals. After his parents, he dreaded walking into this place.

"Oh finally" he thought to himself when he saw the door labeled 24.

He walked in only to see Gravity looking right at him, as if she was waiting on someone to open the door.

It was certainly not him, because when she saw him her eyes turned into saucers.

"Danny?" She said. Her mind must be playing tricks today.

"It's me Grav" he says and walks over to her.

"How-" she started to cry

"Shhh don't stress yourself out" he says, sitting down"

Just then a doctor walks in.

"How are they?" Gravity immediately asks laving Danny confused.

"They're ok, you took the worst of it, you can see them soon.... there's actually something I need to share with you" the doctor then notices Danny.

"it's ok, he's my boyfriend" she says to the doctor who sighs.

"During the surgery, " he begins "we did what we can but looking at your spinal injury, you may never walk again... or sit up or-"

Gravity felt like someone was squeezing her heart.

"What did you say?"

"I'm sorry Ms. Jones. The risk was too high for us to even work on that area but look, there's alot of people in the world that can't walk and still do great things like-"

He was cut off by Gravitys sobbing and Danny tellig him to get the fuck out.

And while one woman was sobbing into her boyfriends neck another was in Italy sipping wine on a balcony and thinking of how she faked her own death and easily got away with it.

At the end of the day, It takes a great deal of courage to see the world in its tainted,fucked up glory and still love it.

And that's the story of Gravity.
