"We're..."

"Married.."

As the crowd cheered around them, Roxie and Walker looked at each other—now in complete shock. Jaleesa had already written up and presented the wedding scroll. Crystal and Jadis signed it first, both delighted that they could be a part of the festivities.

"The two of you have to sign it now,"Jaleesa said, handing them the quill as Walker watched his wife sign her maiden name and then her new name...Roxie Wells.

"Fuck that looks perfect.." Walker said, smiling at her.

"The two of you are the key to ending it all," Jadis said, "Nothing can touch you."

Roxie frowned, "You sound so sure."

"It won't be easy, my dear...there will be blood shed," Jadis nodded, "Rivers of it actually.."

Evans scoffed, "That was a bummer to hear after such a great celebration."

Jadis sighed, "I am not going to lie about it—you all know the battle is coming. We train and train and train and train until we're unstoppable. We work together—side by side—no matter what."

"No matter what.."Walker said, holding on to Roxie, "Well, I thank you all for everything you've done, -"

"Go! Make babies!" Jadis smiled, whirling around and lighting up her pipe again.

"Jesus.." Evans chuckled, "This lady has no filter."

Roxie nodded, but then turned back and handed the bouquet to Crystal.

Crystal was about to question Roxie's action until the bride smiled, looking over at Dante who was eyeing Crystal with more than just a curious gaze.

"It won't be easy for the two of you, but you'll make each other happy."

Crystal's tears rolled as she looked at Dante who smiled at her--smitten with the young vamp already.

Roxie linked her arm with Walker and took a deep breath.

"Now we can go have some spicy time."

"Fuck..." Walker watched as Roxie rode him slowly, their labored breaths hitching as the rain poured over the rooftops, "I wouldn't trade this for anything.."

He ran his hands up her sides, cupping her luscious tits and squeezing them together. Roxie placed her hands on Walker's chest and pushed up from her knees so he could look at where they were connected.

"You like to watch, huh?"

"I do.." Roxie moaned, "Gods, I do.."

"Wife..." Walker growled as Roxie picked up her pace, her little nails clawing into his skin with just the right amount of delicious pain.

"Husband.."

Walker's cock twitched inside of his mate and he held her still, his flow releasing. Roxie felt his warmth hit the back of her channel and she shuddered as her own orgasm took over.

"Again?" Walker smiled, his heart beating wildly, "I owe you one for biting me earlier..."

"Again...." Roxie said as Walker flipped her onto her back, plunging into her wetness again, "How many times is this?"

The bed squeaked to Walker's rhythm and he smiled, "I don't know. I lost count..."

Roxie giggled, wrapping her legs around him, her heels digging into his ass as she pulled him deeper.

"You...are....mine..."

Walker kissed her nose, "I like the sound of that..."

Staring down at her, he saw the need she had for him, the love—the want, the passion and fire. She'd do anything for him—he knew that.

And he'd die for her.

"Look at me, fancy face..." Walker was on his knees, throwing Roxie's legs over his shoulders as his cock drove deeper, "I want you to know who you belong to...mate.."

"No other girls.."

"No one else.." Walker said, looking into her eyes as he took her—pushing her up the mattress, "No other men..no one...just us...you...and..me..."

"Yes...oh god...there's no one else.." Roxie whimpered as they rolled off-road together, their juices splashing together once again, "Just you..."

"Shower?" Walker said, rubbing her clit with his thumb. She was so swollen, but ready to go again.

"Yes..this awakening is so....shit.."

"So shit?" Walker laughed, his hunger for her gnawing at him, "This is the mate bond, love...."

"Take me to the shower, Walker.."

"As you wish.."

"God, is she even able to walk today?" Evans asked as he watched Roxie limp passed them to the dress shop, "What the hell did you to her last night?"

Walker smiled, "What didn't I do to her last night?"

"Ha! You stud muffin," Evans laughed, hopping into the pick up truck, "I'm happy for you—for her? Well, I guess you'll make a good husband."

"I can't deny that I'm not scared," Walker said, placing his lunch pail on the floorboard as Corey honked for them to head on, "I want to make her happy, but how the hell am I going to do that when we've got this.." he gestured out the window at the witches and wolves in training for the showdown, "I don't get the ball, man.."

"Yeah, you do. All of them will be there—it's the perfect time to strike," Evans tapped the steering wheel, "We'll get 'em, Walker."

"Who is them? We don't even know..."

"We know a lot," Evans reminded him, "We've got some people headed up there today—and Jadis sent some witches. We should be getting intel soon."

"I can't believe I am trusting witches and wolves over my own kind."

"I'd say you could trust yours, but we don't know yet. Even if we did, we can't risk taking them out of their homes right now. No one knows you're here so that's how it needs to be," Evans narrowed his eyes, "Jenny really wants to get to know you better, Walker. Give her that, please?"

"Well, since you asked so nicely.." Walker grinned as they headed into the forest to hunt and load up on any dry lumber they could find.

They made their way deep into the woods, hauling large stacks of lumber out to the trucks.

"You work hard don't ya?" Evans said, both of them grunting as another stack of lumber rolled into the bed of the pickup, "Got you some muscle there."

"What did you think I had?" Walker grinned, "I've fought you so many times, Evans. I'm sure you missed getting your ass kicked by me."

Corey laughed, "Oh, come on. Roxie could kick Evans' ass better than you can."

Walker balked, "Yeah, fuck you, Corey. At least my girlfriend didn't leave me for the beta down the road."

"Oh-ho!"Evans throttled, "You stepped into that one, Corey.."

"How did you know about Suzanne? Besides, Sarai and I are perfect for each other."

Walker smiled, "Yeah, she's a nice girl, but I have my ways of knowing."

"Let's get some lunch," Evans said, "I'm starving and it looks like rain again. Is it always raining these days?"

"Seems like it,"Walker mumbled as they sat on the hood of the truck and ate, talking like old friends—not foes. Evans filling him in on the training they'd have to do—about the other packs and witch caravans that would be coming through soon. Evans asked him about his awakening.

"What's gonna happen?"

"I really don't know,"Walker said as he tore his sandwich in half, "Right now, I have sight, Roxie's getting some more healing powers and her teleportation is giving me the creeps."

Corey laughed, "She's gonna sneak up on your ass every chance she gets."

"Probably,"Walker smiled, "I have a little bit of levitation and I think Roxie's getting mind-bending."

"Say what?" Metgar frowned, "Isn't that dangerous?"

"It is," Walker said, "Vamps who get it are typically good people—like Roxie is, so they don't use it for evil."

"But that might work for us," Metgar said, rubbing his chin.

"Or it could backfire," Walker told him, "It takes a lot out of a person if they can do that."

"Yeah, well, you and Roxie are losing your damn minds with the mate bond," Corey said, licking his lips, "Those hormones are all over the place."

"I want to get back inside of her right now, yet here I am..."

"Oh, pity Walker.." Evans teased.

"No, man, it's not fun," Walker snickered, "I mean, fucking is very fun, but it hurts when you can't do it."

"Yeah, she was walking a little bow-legged this morning,"Evans laughed, "I don't blame you. She's a beautiful woman, Walker. I'm sure you're going to be happy together."

"She makes me happy," Walker said, "When did you and Jenny meet?"

"Shit, dude, we were kids,"Evans said, "Her dad, Cole, was a good man. I miss him—I know she does. Fell in love when we weren't even able to drive, but she was distant, ya know? She missed her mom a lot and was a brooding little wolf—some people didn't even accept the small drop of vamp she had, but I did. I loved her then and I love her now."

"Any pups?"

"Some day," Evans said, "That's the goal, man. I want a whole litter."

"And Marlena?"

"Marlena is a doll," Evans nodded, chugging his water, "She's got to learn to use a filter, though."

Walker agreed, "She's one hell of a reader."

"Yeah, she is...she'll be training, too," Evans said, "All of the kids will be."

"Kids? Why?"

"Walker, when one of us goes to war—we all go to war."
