From Dusk 'Til Dawn
"That's right," Maddy smiled, "Get angry with me. It'll do you no good."
Roxie squeezed her eyes shut, possibly trying to save Archibald.
Walker shook his head,"No, little mouse. He's not coming back. "
There was still a great sadness in Walker's voice which made Roxie even angrier.
Jadis could feel it and so could Jaleesa. Leah and Chet, even Chad had stepped out from the shadows, preparing to fight off the succubi.
"You're no match for all of us, "Roxie said,"We will show you absolutely no mercy. You thought you could just take over Archibald's little scheme? Look how that turned out. It's over. People can finally be with their true mates. What do you propose now? A life where you rule? You and your minions?"
Maddy locked eyes with Walker.
"You've got a smart one, my son. Smart and pregnant. Ya know, your father was a good man, Roxie... Too bad he chose to interfere. "
Jenny stepped closer to Walker.
"You killed our family, bitch...The things I wish I could do to you."
Maddy appeared shocked, glancing from Walker to Jenny and back again.
"You're??"
"Maggie's kids," Walker said, "That's all you need to know."
Suddenly, a small yawn came from behind them and Marlena stood there in her little ball gown and tiara.
"I'm bored," she wiggled her finger at Maddy, "She's weak."
Maddy frowned, "Why you little... "
Lunging forward, Jenny intercepted as the other succubi tossed themselves at any enemy who stood in their way.
Connie went for Crystal who hated that she'd been lied to for so long.
"Why???" Crystal begged as tears rolled from her eyes and she and Connie brawled, using brute strength instead of their powers, "You were my best friend!"
Connie cackled as she tossed Crystal into Dante who shifted and lunged at Connie, shredding the skin from her arms as she tried to battle.
"They're succubi, Crystal!" Suri said, helping the young girl up and forcing her to run for cover,"They've never been your friends! "
Felicity charged Roxie, but was intercepted by Walker who fed her not one ounce of mercy.
"Come on, bitch!" Holden demanded, coming out of nowhere and grabbing Roxie by the arms, "You're mine. I was supposed to be yours! I loved you!"
Roxie gasped as she fought to get out of Holden's grasp, using her mind to weaken his abilities, but the baby was finally taking a lot out of her.
"Get your fucking hands off of her!" Jesse jumped in front of the duo, punching Holden in the face over and over again until he loosed his grip on Roxie.
Jesse pushed Holden to the floor, straddling him before taking his fist and plunging it into his chest, pulling out his heart and chucking it across the room.
Jesse panted as the others around him watched in horror and awe as he smiled, covered in Holden's blood.
"Lucky for me, my awakening gave me tons of strength... "
Dante released Connie, a shriek of horror coming from her mother as the girl lay lifeless on the floor.
The other succubi inched back as the wolves, vamps, and Jadis's coven pushed forward.
"Where the fuck are you going??" Maddy snarled at her legion, "Get your good for nothing asses back here!"
There was no going back though.
As the fathers if Connie and Felicity cried out to be free from the nightmare unfolding before them, Jaleesa placed a sleep spell on them. They crumpled to the floor for the time being.
"We're finished! They're too strong!" Felicity panicked, "Just send us back to hell so we can move on! Forget this place! Forget Myrtle!"
She couldn't get the words out before Maddy slapped her in the face and took her by the throat to throttle the fellow demon.
"You had your chance, Felicity. I'm exiling you!"
With one swift motion, Felicity had disappeared as did the rest of the succubi.
"What the fuck?" Dante shook his head as he looked at Maddy and the area where the succubi once stood, now just an empty space.
"She banished them to hell," Jaleesa said,"They'll be back, but not for us."
"Now, where were we?"
Suri's anger bubbled over. All of this pain caused by Maddy, the succubi and Archibald's family was overwhelming.
Before Roxie could stop her, Suri leapt over the broken tables and chairs, lunging at Maddy who never saw it coming.
"I will kill you a thousand times before sending your worthless demon ass straight to Hell!"
Straddling her backside, Suri grabbed Madeline's hair and tugged, pulling out clumps as the succubus struggled to get a handle on the angry vampiress.
Jadis motioned for her witches to begin the spell, the spell that would send Maddy back to the depths of darkness from which she came.
"You... bitch... " Suri mumbled, biting the succubus over and over again until blood covered them both, "You chose this! You chose evil and chaos!"
Maddy's cries weren't lost on Walker who was mortified that a woman he'd loved for so long as his mother could be so bad.
"Do it now! My mother can't hold on much longer!" Roxie cried as Walker held onto her.
Jaleesa took one more look at the fighting duo, motioning for Suri to back away.
Before Madeline could react, the coven's last words echoed through the gym as Maddy's body turned to ash, leaving nothing but her attire left scattered on the floor.
"It's over... " Jadis said, lighting her pipe, "Let's get the hell outta here."
The succubi were gone, but the fathers of the girls were unprepared for the heartache their wives had bestowed upon them.
"They weren't theirs to begin with," Evans said, "I hear they were daughters of incubi."
Jenny frowned, "Marlena isn't ours biologically, but we still love her."
"Get everyone you know out of the city," Jadis told them, "Everyone from here to Gideon, to Silverton, to Echo. No one is safe for the moment. Crow's Peak is the best place for them until things are sorted out."
So, that's what had to be done.
All of the people who'd come from far and wide to be handed off to another fraudulent mate made their way to Crow's Peak to speak with the witches, vamps, and wolves who'd saved them.
The world was watching, listening, and learning about what had taken place in Myrtle.
"Are we in danger?" Crystal asked as she and Dante rode back with Suri and Brett, who followed Pate and Angie.
"No," Brett said, "No one is coming to our rescue, but no one is going to interfere with the forces that Walker and Roxie have to offer—not anymore."
That was also true.
The next few weeks went by quickly—heads of vampire covens came together to talk about the carnage. A cleanup crew headed into the city of Myrtle and disposed of any evidence—in case an outsider or human chanced upon it.
The Haven's were properly buried instead of disposed of like chattel in the ditch where they'd been found and Crystal told Dante about her pregnancy.
"What about us?" Eric said as he and Oliver spoke with Roxie and Walker one night over a meal at their home, "Do we wait again? Did we have mates?"
"No, I don't think so, Eric," Roxie told him, "You're free to find the love of your life—as are you, Oliver."
Seth was, too. He knew he hadn't had a mate, but he decided to leave when the coast cleared—most of them did.
The day that Eric, Oliver, and Jesse decided to leave was also the day that the new elder council was founded—the real ones—the ones who'd been plunged into darkness for half a century.
"They put them to sleep instead of killing them?" Walker asked Jaleesa as the community of Crow's Peak watched the coronation on television, "These are the true elders? Will they.."
"Will they change things? They already have.."Jaleesa smiled.
"Huh?" Suri said, "Everyone is free now?"
"Everyone who asked to be freed is free," Jadis said, "Not everyone is going to ask to be let go of a bond that they clearly don't want to see evaporate, but for the most part, the ones who've been wronged can move on—and all because of your daughter and Walker. Their bond beat all."
Walker and Roxie knew there was a long road ahead—memories not soon forgotten—people who were still threats, and maybe friend was really foe, but they moved on—graduating high school, but staying in Crow's Peak for just a little while longer—the wolves were family now and so were the witches.
Their bond hadn't just brought down the power hungry evildoers, but brought the communities together and that was more than anyone could ask for.
10 years later:
"Dude, stay off of her.."
Evans snorted as Walker looked at his sister, Jenny, who was pregnant for the sixth time since the ball ten years prior.
"It's fun making these kids, man! You're catching up, though—where is the little lady anyway?"
"Probably trying to stay away from this hormonal fucker," Corey said, chugging his beer as he watched Sarai chase their twin boys, Isaac and Isaiah, around the clearing, "Two is enough for us and we waited."
Dante strolled over with his daughter, Rebecca,in one arm and his son, Dominic,in a carrier on his back. He and Crystal's oldest son, Vincent, was stalking Annabelle, as usual.
"Uh-oh, you'd better watch those two..." Corey said, pointing out an obvious connection Annabelle and Vincent shared, "Things could get messy."
Evans scoffed, "What's messy is my daughter thinking it's OK to sneak off in the middle of the night with Metgar and Martina's grandson. Nick's got some explaining to do!"
"They're 16, man..." Walker smiled.
"Yeah, and I know what I was doing at 16..." Evans shuddered, "I don't need to have grandpups right now. Gods, help me..."
Annabelle finally escaped Vincent and rushed over to her father, her auburn hair and green eyes matching that of her mother's.
"Can I go swimming down at the river with Vinny and the others?"
"What did your mom say?" Walker asked, "Where is your mom anyway?"
Annabelle giggled, "Hiding her scent from you, apparently..."
"See?" Evans chuckled, "Ten going on twenty over here.."
Roxie waved to Walker as she let the rest of their children out of the house and into the open air.
Xavier, Sadie, Eleanor, and Gabriel scattered in different directions, causing as much chaos as possible before being led by their sister down to the river.
"We'll meet you down there, kids! Don't forget--it's a special night!" Roxie said, continuing on to her mate's side and embracing him, "I am worn out.."
"Want another one?" Evans snickered, "I hear Walker wants at least three more."
Roxie shuddered, "If he wants three more, he can go find another woman to have them with.."
"Are you giving me permission to sleep around, little mouse?" Walker looked down at Roxie as she glanced up at him with need in her eyes, "Wanna go back to our house and make another one?"
"Walker.." Roxie giggled as she waved to the others—Evans chuckling as he watched them rush off like horny, pubescent teenagers.
"I can't believe we're back here.." Roxie said, stripping off her clothes as Walker tossed his boots to the side, "It's been forever since we've been to Myrtle.."
"Tomorrow we give the house away, little mouse," he cooed, stalking his mate as she crawled up on to the bed, naked and flopped down, "Thank you for making me give it to the community. I really wanted to burn this place to the ground."
Roxie pulled him into her, legs spread for Walker's cock to access her already glistening pussy.
Walker leaned down and kissed her passionately, the moans going straight to his soul.
"I love you so much..." Walker grunted as he slipped inside of his wife, "I love you more than anything.."
Roxie moaned, her nails dragging down his corded back—legs wrapping around him so he couldn't get away.
"I am not going anywhere, baby.." Walker groaned, his cock tapping Roxie's clit, "I think you're getting tighter because I ain't getting bigger.."
"Just shut up and fuck me.." Roxie begged as Walker continued making love to his wife.
In all the years they'd been together, there wasn't one day that went by that Walker didn't think of what he could have lost so many times...so many moments he'd break down at Wells Construction—not in front of his crews, though—only when he was by himself. When he was writing poetry to her
He broke down, just like Roxie did.
Missing their friends—their families—some of their allies they'd lost.
Mostly, they cried together—especially at the graves of their parents and Walker's sisters.
No magic in the world could bring them back, but they could feel them—they knew they were around.
"Just...like that.." Roxie whispered to him, "I'm so close.."
"I could go for about three more rounds tonight," Walker grunted as they both jumped off that cliff together, their bodies quaking as the euphoria consumed their souls.
"I bet you could.." Roxie smiled, giggling as Walker nibbled on her neck, "Don't you dare drink from me just yet. We have the blood moon to wait for!"
Walker sighed, "But do I have to wait?"
"Yes, my love—we have to wait.."
"I long for you...I pine for you..I can't resist you now...I want to hold you..Want to kiss you...make you mine somehow...I dream about you...can't live without you...but I know it's just a phase..if I can have you just a little while longer, these will be my greatest days.." Walker said to her, meeting Roxie's gaze as the woman lowered her eyebrows and smiled.
"That's beautiful...who is it?"
"It's me.." Walker blushed, "I wrote it when we were assigned that silly ass project in creative writing when I was stalking you—harboring these grave desires for my enemy.." he teased, remembering their early days.
Roxie's breath hitched as Walker slipped out of her. A tear streamed down her cheek and Walker brushed it away.
"Happy or sad tears?"
"So very happy..." Roxie pulled herself into his side and lay her head on Walker's chest, "I can't believe you are just now sharing it."
Walker sighed, "I just found it when we were cleaning everything out. So many poems I wrote for you—just like the portraits you've painted of us that you won't share..." Walker teased as they faced each other.
"Is it weird being back?"
"Yes," Walker said, "But I am happy to be in Crow's Peak..I knew we'd all come back one day..I knew the elders would want to talk again. They've kept tabs, I'm sure."
"I can't believe only a handful of people have been mated since that night."
Walker smiled, "And they are blessed.."
"I'm surprised my mom came back."
"Brett's good to her. He takes care of her spirit," Walker reminded her, "Just like you take care of mine."
"And you take care of mine, Mr. Wells.." Roxie leaned over and pecked him on the lips, "I guess we'd better get down to the river and gather the kiddos."
"Why do I miss them so much?" Walker asked, putting on his clothes, "I swear it's torture when I am away from you and those angels."
Roxie smiled, brushing out her hair, "I agree. Annabelle has grown up so fast, but the rest of them are right behind her. I like working at the art studio and dress shops, but once the day is up, I race to get home."
"You wanna race me to the river?" Walker wiggled his eyebrows, knowing that this was hit or miss—either her teleportation would get her there first or his speed would take the win, "Winner gets say in if we have another baby next year."
"Gods...OK.." Roxie smiled, "I'll give you a head start..."
"Oh, please..I don't need a head start..."
And then..Roxie was gone.
"Fuck.." Walker bolted out the door and made it to the river in mere moments, looking around at the crowd and finding their friends and extended family—the children splashing in the shallow end, "Hi Daddy!"
Walker looked around and saw Roxie a few feet behind him, strolling down the path.
"You cheated.." Walker said, "Or let me win..I don't know!"
Roxie fell into his arms and laughed, placing Walker's hand on her stomach.
"Yeah, I won, but we're still having a baby next year."
