Hiii! I made another redo of a cover of a book of mine. I recently used photoshop to make my Elvin Spell cover, but I got better and made a new one!!

My old one :

Obviously, it's bad. I mean, the shoddy background removing of the glitter is one thing, but the rest—ew. Even the cringy title is bad. I mean—what was I thinking merging the swan like that. And the glow—*shudder*. The girl doesn't even match the background—which is also stupid, cuz you can't see it. An overall trashy cover

Here is the new cover I made :

It's much more night-themed, because of reasons. I worked on this for two days. I couldn't find the right background at first but then found the most amazing-est night background. I found the elf on google, but I'm not sure who the artist is—but he/she/them is REALLY talented!! I had to crop off the entire background and the thing in her hands. I then added the fire and changed the tint and whatever to make it blue. I then double-exposed the dear in the forest scene over the girl's hair. And added a destroyed city scene to the fire—which you can't really see, to symbolize the old title of the book—Lost Cities = Destroyed.

Then, I used the paint/draw tool to highlight her eyes/mouth/eyebrows/hair/headpiece/tattoo/armband. And then I did the curves and highlights and exposure of the girl to make it seem like she's somewhere at night. I then made the moon brighter and manually made the stars glow brighter.

And then I did the text. I rasterized the layer after placing it and did a gradient with a drop shadow. And then I beveled it.

Oh right—I also embellished the corners as well. Because I wanna steal my own idea :p
