Enzo sat his glass in front of him on the table of the breakfast nook. He and Pippa had moved to sit down as they waited for Lesley to show up. "Where's dad?" Enzo asked. Pippa shrugged. She hadn't seen him since he went ballistic on AnneMarie, which reminded her that she had to order a new phone and laptop for her daughter.
"I don't know. Where's Ashley?" Pippa rebutted. Enzo took a deep breath thinking about the execution coming up.
"She's in a better place," he answered. It was easier than explaining homicide, three counts attempted robbery, and -despite what Feather said- child neglect and endangerment. She was wanted in three states and somehow got caught up after being in New York for a week and a half. Enzo even called Ashley's mother Lana, who said that she was the one who turned her daughter in and was glad that Feather made it to him safe. But as previously stated, Enzo felt like 'a better place' was easier on the soul.
"Oh, is she coming back for her? Or is this a permanent deal?" Pippa asked. Enzo hadn't really thought about Lana wanting to take Feather or anything. He just assumed that when she said she was happy that Feather made it to him safely that she meant he was going to keep her. Now he was worried that she might come and get his little girl.
"I'm still working out the kinks," was what Enzo thought was a safe bet to say. No promises or definitive yes's until he got a straight story from Feather's other grandma.
"Well, If it's any consolation, she seems very sweet and nothing like her mother..." Pippa trailed off as Lesley entered the house through the garage door.
"That's a good thing. It sucks being like your mother, doesn't it?" she commented as she walked in. She was wearing black yoga pants and a black shirt that said 'Clayton's House'. It was her work attire. The same outfit she wore on her last night in that house. The outfit she had intended on wearing was in her car, in case she decided to change. But her high brain told her to go with shock value first. Enzo awkwardly puckered his lips and shrank back in his seat. It felt like the fight all over again. Pippa stood up and stared at her daughter.
"Glad to see you could make it," Pippa forced. She tried to smile, but her repressed anger wouldn't allow. Lesley shrugged and leaned against the waist height part of the island.
"Well, it got me out of staying at work all night?" Lesley smirked. Pippa watched Lesley take her hair down and run her fingers through the long black mane. Before anything could happened next, the girls ran down the stairs as Lin ran up.
"Yay! Everyone is here! Let's eat!" Lin squealed, cutting through the tension. The teenagers -and Feather- giggled at him and sat at the huge dinning room table. Lin sat at the head with Pippa on his left with the seating as Claudia, Allie, Nova, On one side with their mom. Enzo at the end of the table, Feather on his left and AnneMarie, Lesley, an open seat, then back to Lin. Lesley purposely sat in the seat next to the one in front of Pippa to keep from kicking her mother under the table. Childish? Yes. Lesley? All the way.

The family stared to eat a very quiet dinner as the sun set behind Enzo. "So, Allie your 18th is coming up. What do you want?" Lin asked his second oldest daughter.
"Well, daddy, I'm glad you asked. As you all know I have my Frank tattoo on the back of my neck for my good old social worker who kept me safe, when the state took me from you guys for a little. So, the girls and I were thinking of matching tattoos with Mama," Allie said, referring to Claudia and Nova. The two teens nodded. "We were thinking mom get a small earth, I get a small sun, Claudia gets a small moon, and Nova gets a small star; on our wrist with the words "ohana" beside it," Allie explained. Pippa sighed at the idea of another tattoo. She had Stevie's name on her shoulder, Lesley and Enzo on each of her ribs with their birthdays in Roman numerals, Mason's zodiac sign on the side of her middle finger. She just hadn't had time to get one for the twins, Allie, and Nova yet. And now that Feather was here she couldn't leave her out.
"I will think about it. That's not a definite yes and Nova you have to ask your mom," Pippa said. Nova dropped her fork and gave her mom sad eyes.
"Please can I get a tattoo with them?" Nova begged. Lesley glanced up from her phone and shrugged.
"Whatever, you have your money," she replied. Nova squealed with her aunts.
"That's perfect! And we already found a place that will do it on fourteen year olds with a parent or guardians signature!" Allie beamed. Lesley tried not to care, but she remembered her first tattoo trip with Enzo and Mason. It was shortly after Stevie died. The Irish twins wanted to do something special for their nephew. Therefore, they all got matching mended heart tattoos. Lesley's was taped back together, Masons was sutured, and Enzo's was tied. It was so cute and after a week of Pippa's anger, she grew to love it. Every now and then Lin thought about getting a tattoo, but needles always freaked him out, se he typically sat that activity out.
"Hey, who's the kid?" Lesley asked. Feather took a bite of her mashed potatoes and smiled.
"This is my daughter, Feather. Feather, this is your other aunt Lesley," Enzo introduced. Feather waved and went back to eating as Lesley faked a smile.
"What about me?" AnneMarie asked Enzo.
"Nothing. No one was talking to you," Claudia snapped. AnneMarie rolled her neck towards her sister with all the attitude a fourteen year old could muster.
"Excuse you," AnneMarie bit. Claudia chuckled and placed her hand on her chest dramatically.
"Excuse me? No, no, sweetheart. Excuse you. Shut the fuck up and speak when spoken to," Claudia said. Phillipa grabbed Claudia by the arm and pulled her from the table. AnneMarie started to laugh until Phillipa took a firm hold of her ear and dragged her along too.
"I don't know what the hell is wrong with you two, but you need to fix it. I don't give a damn why you guys are fighting or who started it. But when I come back in ten minutes y'all better be civil," Pippa scolded. AnneMarie sat on one side of the couch with Claudia on the other.
"What happens if we aren't civil," AnneMarie tried. Pippa's eyebrow spiked and her hands clasped to her hips.
"There is no what happens if. You will be civil or so help me God," Pippa answered before going back to the dining room. The twins sat on the couch in silence. They were gonna do or say whatever they had to just to get away from each other.

Lin plucked his vibrating phone from his pocket. It was a call from Meredith. He excused himself and sat on the back steps to take the call on speakerphone. "Hello?" Lin asked.
"Hey Lin, I got your scans and test back. You're nerve is holding up and you are very potent. I would suggest using a conform until I can get Pippa in my office to check on her birth control implant," Meredith said in one felt swoop.
"So, this means I can get her pregnant," Lin asked. Showing that having another baby was all he cared about.
"I wouldn't advise it," Meredith said. Lin fully disregarded Meredith's answer and shrugged.
"Talk to you later. Bye!" Lin hung up before Meredith could finish her reason for calling.
"Oh okay. You're white blood cell count is down a bit, and I wanted to get a blood culture to make sure you don't have an infection, but we can chat later. You know, when your penis falls off," Meredith said to herself as she slipped her phone into her lab coat. As long as Lin didn't show flu like symptoms he would be fine.
🕯🕯🕯
In the dining room, Pippa took another uncomfortable glance at Lesley's shirt. "So how is work going?" She asked kindly. Lesley shrugged.
"Haven't had to sleep with my boss lately to keep my job, so...well I guess," she honestly answered. A part of Pippa wanted Lesley to be joking, but the other part knew she was serious. Enzo gripped his fork tighter as all the feelings from younger him flooded back. The protective spirit and watchful eye were easy to dismiss when he lived alone, but now that he had a daughter of his own, the feelings were amplified. Before he could say anything though, the door bell rang. And because this family is so nosey, everyone answered it and to their dismay a familiar face had shown up.
"Mason? Lizzie? What are you doing here?" Pippa asked. She allowed the two to come into her house and took their coats. Mason left so long ago that it was almost hard to recognize him.
"We have news,"
