Clutter encompassed the tiny one bedroom apartment of Lesley and Nova Soo. Moonlight illuminated the thirteen year old as she laid in her twin sized bed, in the corner of the "living room" with her cover pulled tightly over her head. The rustling of the dying leaves outside of her window and the thought of her mother most likely high, scared her. At only thirteen, Nova had to deal with her mother getting high and sleeping with a bunch of different guys on a regular basis. The interactions left Nova constantly scared for her mother safety, and sometimes caused her to wish that her mother would stop the madness to go live with her Nona. But, that was impossible. Lesley hadn't seen her parents since she was eighteen. A huge fight broke out between she and Phillipa, when Nova was five, causing her to storm out of her house and never return. Now 8 years later, when Nova goes to Pippa and Lins house, Lesley waits in the car to pick her up. There are many things Nova wishes wouldn't change, but her mother wasn't one.

Only 15 minutes away in a studio apartment, Enzo untangled himself from yet another girl that laid in his bed. He had no idea who she was, but she wasn't good in bed and needed to leave. The hungover, twenty-six year old stood on his bed and tapped the unknown girl with his foot. "Hey," Enzo called. The blonde rolled over to have her exposed, overpriced boobs flash his unsuspecting eyes. Enzo shook his head and ran his hand over his face. The one night stand stretched out with a yawn.

"What time is it?" She asked. Enzo looked at his clock on the side table and saw that it was 2 AM.

"Time for you to get the hell out," Enzo replied. The girl scoffed and grabbed her stuff. She quickly got redressed and pranced out of Enzo's bay side apartment. "Eww. What was you doing, Enzo?" The man child ask himself as he laid down on his bed and started to drift back to sleep. It was his routine. Sleep all day, party all night, and convince his parents he worked at a hotshot job that didn't exist.

All the way out in the suburbs, sixteen year old, Allie sat on the roof of her parents house, smoking a clean blunt. She had just got another detention for back talking a teacher, putting her record at four for the week. She hadn't given the note to her parents yet, but she knew what her parents would say. "This is not what we do Allie," the teen laughed, as she laid back on the roof. Sometimes she wished they had left her where they found her. And sometimes she was happy where she was. It just depended on the day. And for some reason that day was particularly rough for her.

Ten minutes later, Claudia crawled through her sisters window and up to the roof. "Hey," she whispered. Allie gave a small smile and passed her sister a joint.

"What's going on in the land of freshmen?" Allie asked. Claudia took a hit and rolled her eyes.

"AnneMarie and her band of loyal subjects are making my life a living nightmare. So, the usual," Claudia replied. Allie scoffed and pushed her self onto her elbows.

"She needs to get a hobby," the slightly inebriated soul said. Claudia shook her head and giggled.

"She needs to get some dick. I think she's the only one in the house that isn't having sex and never has," Claudia analyzed. Allie nodded through a loud laugh.

"Speaking of dick. How are things with Marco?" Allie asked. Claudia smiled at the thought of her junior class boyfriend.

"Amazing! Sis, we do it all the time! And everywhere! Just yesterday we did it in the laundry room!" bragged Claudia. Allie gasped.

"Wasn't mom doing laundry yesterday?" Allie asked. Claudia nodded with a hug grin on her face. "How the fuck did you pull that off?" She squealed is disbelief. Claudia smirked and took a hit of the blunt.

"Mom was so wrapped up in doing laundry that she didn't notice Marco and I behind the door getting it in," Claudia smiled. Allie high-fived her sister and laid back on the roof. "What time is it?" Claudia asked. Allie shrugged.

"Probably around 3 AM," Allie answered. The responsible twin sighed and started to slide down to the balcony.

"Come on. Mommy's gonna be pissed if we can't get up in the morning for soccer," Claudia urged. Allie nodded and put out her bud.

"I really don't give a fuck what mom is gonna be pissed at. She's annoying as hell and she's always mad," Allie replied. The girls laughed once more and got off the roof. Allie ran her hand through her hair and opened her balcony door. "You sleeping in here?" she asked. Claudia nodded and slipped into bed with her big sister, as the normally did. Anything for Claudia to get out of sharing a room with AnneMarie, she would do.

Three doors down, Pippa laid in her bed tossing back and fourth. She couldn't sleep. She wanted to have a huge family dinner, but couldn't figure out a way to get all of her kids to agree. Her daughters hated her and her sons were AWOL. She missed her family, she even missed her parents sometimes. Weird right? But, even more, she missed her husband. After she got home from the hospital, 14 years ago, Lin didn't treat her the same. He treated her as if she was a fragile being that would break at anytime. They hadn't had hot, crazy, passionate sex in 14 years, and Pippa was surprised that she could be with him for so long with the "one and dones". But, she loved the man. Or atleast that's what she told herself to get by.

7:30 AM hit when Pippa got out of bed and turned over to see Lins side of the bed empty. "Why expect anything different?" Pippa whispered. She pulled her hair in a bun, slipped on some jeans and t-shirt, then brushed her teeth and did her makeup. When she walked down the stairs, Claudia and AnneMarie were fighting once again.

"Mom! AnneMarie is being a bitch!" Claudia yelled. Pippa rolled her eyes and started breakfast. "She's mad cause I called her friends assholes," Claudia continued.

"AnneMarie grow up! People are gonna say things to you that you aren't gonna like. Take it with a grain of salt or reevaluate your situation and keep it moving. Claudia, watch your mouth," Pippa solved. Allie tried not to laugh as her sisters made faces at each other. "Allie, I got a call from your teacher. Detention? Again?" Pippa asked.

"Yeah. So what?" Allie smart-assed. Phillipa placed her hands on her hips. Why were her children all of a sudden getting so bold?

"This is not what we do, Allie." Pippa rolled her eyes and continued to cook.

"I fucking know! But, the teacher didn't do anything when a kid was messing with me about where I came from, so I put both of them in their place. Not that you cared," Allie responded. Pippa wanted to say something, but didn't get the chance when Allie stood up. "I'll be on the porch," Allie finished.

"Where is your father?" Pippa asked. The twins point to the floor which meant he was in the basement. Pippa nodded, turned off the stove, and put plates on the bar. "Eat. I'll be back," Pippa said. She ran down the stairs and saw her husband in the middle of self soothing. "Are you fucking kidding me?" The angry actress yelled. Lin quickly put Mini-Lin away and turned his computer screen off.

"Babe, I didn't know you were still home," Lin said. Pippa scoffed and folded her arms. She had no idea why she was shocked. He was tugging harder at himself than he'd touched her in years. However, the pain was still valid.

"You would rather masturbate to some random girl on the internet than fuck your own wife? Honestly? I'm right here! I'm perfectly capable of pleasing you, but this is what you choose!" Pippa fumed. Lin could tell she was seriously hurt. Pippa didn't want her family to see her cry, so she sprint up to her room as fast as she could, shut the door, and burst into tears. Her life was falling apart and what she just witnessed was the icing on the cake.
