Pippa, Claudia, AnneMarie, and Allie rushed into the trashy apartment with Lin not to far behind, to see Nova circled around by cops. However, as soon as the scared teen saw Pippa and Lin, she rushed to them. Lin picked her up and held her tightly. "Nona!" She cried, in Lin's shoulder. Suddenly two cops came and stood before them.

"Are you the parents of this little girl?" They asked. Lin shook his head.

"She's our granddaughter. Her mother is on her way from work, but we have joint custody," Lin answered, knowing they can't give out information to just anyone. The cop nodded. "What happened here?" He asked.

"Someone came in while your granddaughter was alone, robbed them, and..." he trailed off and gave them a sad look. The worst of the worst went to Pippa's mind and she immediately felt like Nova was in the same position Lesley was. Nova read her grandmothers face and shook her head. Lin put the thirteen year old down and watched her move in front of her Nona.

"Don't worry. He didn't touch me like that. He just beat me a little. I'm okay," Nova reassured. Pippa saw her granddaughter's face in a better light and saw the bruise under her eye and the bruise forming on her collar bone. Pippa wanted to cry so badly, but had to stay strong for her girls. While Nova was reassuring her Nona, Lin was pulled away by a cop.

"Sir, we were gonna call an ambulance, but the girl insisted she was fine. If I were you, though, I would take her to the hospital, just in case," he whispered. Lin nodded. He was headed back to his family, when he was pushed to the side by a small, yet strong person. Lesley.

"Baby! Are you okay? Come here!" Lesley screeched. Nova slowly walked to her mother before she was pulled into a forceful hug. "I️ am so sorry I wasn't here!" Lesley cried. Nova awkward hugged her mother, wincing from the pain, until Phillipa separated them.

"First of all, she's hurt. Be careful," Pippa growled, watching Nova try to slyly rub her bruises. "And second of all, why weren't you here?" Pippa almost yelled. Lesley rolled her eyes and folded her arms.

"It's none of your business," she snapped. Pippa placed her hands on her hips and smirked.

"Seeing as I have joint custody of her, it is my business. I told you what would happen if she got hurt out here in this shit neighborhood and you swore up and down that she was fine. You lied!" Pippa yelled. Lesley waved her off and shut the door of her tiny studio apartment as the cops left.

"She's fine!" Lesley yelled back.

"She's not! I warned you!" Pippa yelled back.

"You can't do this!" Lesley screamed. Everyone stared between the two, confused as to what they were talking about. All, but Lin of course. He stood quietly behind his girls, arms folded, brow furrowed.

"Can't do what?" Nova finally asked.

"You can't make me!" Lesley ignored. Pippa shrugged and stepped towards her granddaughter.

"I might not be able to force you, but I do have a say over her!" Pippa replied. Lesley let out a scream of frustration and sat on her couch.

"Why don't you let her decide? Scared you won't like the results?" Lesley mouthed off. Pippa smirked and shook her head.

"Nope. Are you?" Pippa sassed. Lesley was not as confident, but played the roll amazingly.

"What is going on?" Nova yelled, breaking the two out of their pissing contest. The woman looked at her, sadly.

"Nova, do you want to live here, in the city, with me?" Lesley asked.

"Or in the country with us?" Pippa asked. Nova tried to hide her excitement from her mom, but turned to her Nona.

"You want me to live with you? Like permanently?" Nova asked. Pippa and Lin nodded. "You can do that? You can get me out of here?" She sounded excited. Lesley didn't like that. She turned her daughter around completely forgetting about her bruises.

"Don't you like living here? You get the place to yourself and can do whatever you want!" Lesley enticed. Nova bit her lip out of pain and sadness.

"I know, mom. But, at Nona's I don't get lonely or have to find food or worry about you stumbling in late with another rando," Nova said. "And you can have your privacy to do whatever you want," she tried to smooth over. Lesley stared are her daughter, pain seeping into her eyes. She felt like she was losing the only thing keeping her sane. Pippa stepped behind Nova and placed her hands on the child's good shoulders.

"Why don't you and the girls go get your stuff," Pippa suggested. Nova tore her gaze from her mother and took the girls to the back of the open floored apartment and grabbed her clothes out of her three draws and shoved them in a couple of Walmart bags that were lying around.

"Kay, you won. Congrats. Hope you're happy with the brat. You dedicate your whole life to them and they shit on you. I gotta smoke. Let yourselves out," Lesley growled, before heading to her stash then the balcony. The girls came back and saw that Lesley wasn't on the couch anymore.

"Is momma mad at me?" Nova asked. Pippa took the thirteen year olds backpack and shook her head.

"She's mad at me," Pippa replied before taking the girls back to her SUV.

Once outside, the girls put Nova's stuff in the trunk and piled into the GMC. Pippa stood on the drivers side with Lin in front of her. "You think we did the right thing?" Pippa asked. Lin placed his hands on Pippa's waist and pulled her into him.

"Yeah. This time is was a beating. Next time, who knows. We should have down this sooner, for both of them," Lin answered. Lin and Pippa looked up to Lesley's balcony across the street. She was smoking a blunt and staring off into the skyline. "Maybe next time we can save her too," Lin finished. Pippa sighed and pecked her mans lips before heading off to her only sons house. He actually arranged a babysitter for his kid when he had to work.

Pippa ran up to Enzo's apartment and knocked on the door. He opened the door in his waiter outfit and let his mom in. "Hey, I heard about Nova. Is she okay?" Pippa nodded and came into his huge new studio apartment.

"Yeah, but I had to pull rank on Lesley. She's had enough tries to get it together," Pippa said. Enzo shut the door a nodded.

"I don't know how she couldn't change for her kid. I did and I just met mine. She made me want to do better for both of us," Enzo said. He sat on the bed started to put on his shoes.

"I don't know," Pippa shrugged, "not everyone is wired the same way paternally or maternally," the actress guessed. Enzo nodded and saw his warrior princess queen walk out of the back.

"Nona!" Feather smiled. She attacked Pippa with a huge hug and stepped back. "I'm so excited for today! We can bake, and paint, and just hang out!" Feather beamed. Pippa nodded.

"I can't wait to do all of those things with you," Pippa smiled. Her girls were never like that. Well, Allie was a little. She only baked or painted because she wanted to eat the raw batter or paint. The twins hated hanging out together and could never share Pippa, and with Enzo and Lesley, she had her time split with Lin. So, the kids were always tired from going back and forth. With Feather, she could do all of the things she missed out on and enjoy the youthful glow of a child. A happy child.

"I've got my backpack with my phone charger and an extra pair of pajamas and clothes just like my daddy taught me," she smiled proudly.

"And why is that?" Enzo asked. Pippa found joy in the two of them. They complimented each other nicely.

"Because you never know what could happen and you want to be prepared," Feather answered. Enzo high-fived his kid, then pulled her into a bear hug.

"Alright kiddo, daddy loves you. Have fun at Nona's and call me before you go to bed. I don't care if I'm working, I want to tuck you in. Okay?" Enzo asked. Feather kissed her dads check and nodded.

"Always!" She smiled. Pippa kisses Enzo's cheek and hugged him.

"Thanks mom. I'll pay you as soon as I get paid Friday," Enzo said. Pippa nodded and placed her arm around Feathers shoulders.

"Ready to see your cousin and aunts?" Pippa asked. Feather nodded and skipped out of the apartment with her Nona not to far behind.

As soon as Pippa opened her car door she heard screaming. "Well, at least I'm not a whore!" Claudia yelled to her twin.

"At least I'm not a dyke!" AnneMarie screamed back. That's when Pippa's hand flew back and smack both her girls arms.

"Shut-up! Both of you! I'm tired of the name calling and the bickering. Don't talk to each other if you can't stand hearing each others voices so much. In fact, Claudia switch seats with Nova. Sit in the very back with Feather," Pippa ended. Allie tried to hold in her laugh and stare straight as she sat in the passengers seat. Pippa started the car and leaned against the window seal, as she pulled into New York traffic. "God, they would stab each other if we let them," Pippa whispered. Only Allie heard which caused her to giggle and play her phone the rest of the way to the doctors office.
