Chapter 9 Time

Third person pov.

Melaine felt so sick at this moment. Her heart is speeding so fast in her chest to the point that she could feel it in her throat and head; and that doesn’t help her dry sandpaper like throat right now, let alone her pounding head. The palm of her hands are sweating crazy as she waits for Draco’s response back to what she had just told him. What he had the right to know.

As for Draco, he had stopped for a few seconds before he started laughing and shaking his head in disbelief. He thinks shes joking. She does hang out with the Weasley twins and has pranked him a couple of times, so he can see this being a prank. “I'm sorry, I thought I heard you say you had two soulmates?” He asks her.

Melaine's speeding heart stopped right there and then. She didn't expect him to act like she was lying or joking with him. She was being truthful with him. Well, she was trying to at least.

She looks over to him and nods her head at him, “I have two soulmates Draco…" she exhales and continues, "you are one of them" she points at him, "and… my other one is… Harry-harry Potter is the other on-” she mumbles Harry's name out as she plays with her fingers and fingernails anxiously.

Draco looked at her; looked right into her anxious eyes and realized then and there that she wasn't joking with him. She wasn't pulling a prank on him. What she was trying to tell him was true.

He kind of felt like shit for thinking what she was saying to him was a joke, but when he realized the name that went out of her mouth it felt like his world had just froze in place.

Draco didn't give any shits if he had to share a soulmate.

Yes, when she told him that she had another soulmate, he thought she was pulling a prank on him; but past that, he didnt care he had to share a soulmate. It sounds shocking because he's Draco fucking Malfoy, anyone would think he wouldnt want to share a soulmate, but he was taught about soulmates, he has done his research on the topic of soulmates many, many times. He went on a full dive into the world of soulmates, and he knew that some witches, wizards, humans and other supernatural groups can have more than just one soulmate at once. It's not that rare for others to have more than just one soulmate. It just means the person has more love to give out: and Draco loved that concept.

Since he did a deep dive in the world of soulmates, he did think that maybe his soulmate might have more than just one soulmate, he thought he might have more than one soulmate, and did prepare for it, well he thought he prepared for it. Now he knows he didn't.

He did not prepare that he would have to share his soulmate with Harry Potter.

HARRY FUCKING POTTER.

He couldn't believe it, “Harry potter is your soulmate!?” he snaps out.

She flinches back because of the loudness of his voice and how he was acting. She did expect this, but she didn't want this outcome, but she did understand him, and she couldn't blame him. 

Melanie didn't trust her voice, so all she was able to get out was a whimper and her nodding her head.

“Harry potter?” he asks again.

She nods her head, yes.

“Harry potter?” and again.

“Yes, Harry Potter” she finally said to him.

Time skip.
Third person pov still.

Melanie lays on her bed staring at the ceiling feeling anxious all over her whole body and mind, and feeling like complete shit about what had happened hours ago with Draco.

Hermione had gotten to Hogwarts an hour after what had happened with Draco and now the two twins are with each other. The first thing Hermione did when she saw her twin again was give her a big hug and asked if she was ok.

Now Hermione was talking her sister's ear off telling her everything she missed out on. She tells her sister about how worried her family and friends were about her and how her train ride was and what they had talked about on it.

Melanie laid there trying her best to listen in on her sister's conversation, but it was hard.

Almost all her mind could keep on thinking about was about Draco’s reaction to finding out who her second or first soulmate was.

When he finally came down to the fact that Melanie wasn't joking with him, he freaked out.

He had gotten up from where he sat and started pacing around, mumbling things she couldn't understand, only when she did was it of him telling her that he needed some time to think things through and then he left her there.

She sat there feeling overwhelmed, scared, sad, and semi hurt by everything as hot tears escaped her eyes and rolled down her cheeks.

She did understand why he was like that and why he needed time, but it did still hurt her. But she couldn’t blame him.

However, she didn't cry long. She pushed away the feelings that made her feel like she wanted to cry or panic out and placed on a mask.

She acts like everything is fine, like she didn't feel her body shake and worry over things she doesn't have control over.

She placed on a smile that most of everyone believed was real, but clearly wasn't. The only people that could tell that she was masking up would be Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. Hermione at the time was too distracted with her own things at the moment to clue in.

Though Melanie didn't really want her sister to clue in on how she was feeling or even know what was even happening at the moment. She wanted to deal with this whole ordeal by herself and not with her sister coming in and helping her out.

Tecahlliy there was nothing Hermione could help out with. Hermione wouldn’t be able to help with anything; it was something two wizards and one witches had to deal with, with themselves. No one else can come in and say otherwise.

Soulmates don't work that way.

“Hey, are you two ready to go down to eat?”
