When I got home, the house was empty. Finally, some peace and quietness.

I planned to hurriedly have my bath, eat and sleep before my aunt and her daughter comes home.

As I was in the bathroom showering, a voice came from the drain whispering :

"I see you"

I ran out of the bathroom as fast as my legs could carry me, threw on a baggy shirt and ran out of the house without thinking. I didn't know where I was running to but I needed to run away from whosoever was seeing me in the bathroom.

When I slowed down to take a look at my surroundings after running for a while, I realized I was in the woods and I decided to go back home or maybe even go to Lily's house if I'm too scared to go to my own house. But there was a problem, I didn't know my way out of here.

I began walking, I didn't know where I was going but I just kept on walking and I suddenly became scared and my pace increased. Before I knew it, I was running and I stumbled on something. Looking down, I found myself lying down on a dead bloody body.

I hate my life!

I was so irritated as I sprung up and looked down in disgust and I suddenly felt nauseous. It had swarms of flies around it, it looked like days old body and it was naked, I didn't even know what I was supposed to do at the moment.

While trying to clean myself up after standing up, I heard a strange sound and as I looked up, I saw a dark figure running towards me.

Just kill me

Well that's what it's tryna do dumbass

Now is not the best time for me to talk to myself right?

I run in my nightmares, I run in real life. What's the universe's plan for me?

In my entire life, this is the fastest I've ever gone.

I was so happy when I finally saw a road and I kept on running till I got to the beginning of the street and might I add, ‘a deserted street’. There was no life form on it, it was empty.

No houses, no electric poles, no animals or humans, no shops, nothing at all... Just empty.

As I got to the beginning of the street, I looked to my left and I saw a car coming, isn't that weird? I waited till it got close to me and I contemplated waving it down or just allowing it pass me since it was weird that a car was suddenly on a completely deserted part of this town. I finally decided to wave it down, it didn't look like I had tons of choices and it  stopped when I waved it down. The driver rolled down the window and to my greatest surprise, it was Lily.

God has smiled on me.

"What the hell Luna?" She shouted as I got in the car " why're you at this part of town dressed like this?" She asked running her eyes over me and looking around us uneasily

Yeah, I only got to take the shirt.

"You definitely do not want to hear this.” I muttered getting a sweater from the back seat "and please start driving" I added

I didn't want to spend more time around here, it was too creepy.

"Is it your mum or any other family member I don't know of? ” She asked with concern.

“I wish I knew” I said “lately I don't even know what the fuck is wrong with me” I added.

"Is there something you aren't telling me?” She asked bringing the car to a complete stop and turning towards me.

Can we at least just get out of this part of town first?

"Huh--what're you talking about?” I asked rubbing my palms  together and rubbing it on my arm as I shuddered.

I was having my bath and because of the dead body, I now stink... I think

"There's something you're not telling me. Now come on Luna, spill” She said

"And why would you think I'm hiding something? ” I asked raising a brow

"Last time I checked, you don't live in this part of town and you were here, almost naked, if not  naked! And the road you came out from, no-one lives there, it's deserted and empty and the end of the road is the woods” She said in a obvious tone and she stared at me with a blank face.

Darn this girl for being so smart

"So care to tell me what the fuck is the reason behind all that?” She asked as she continued driving.

So I told her... Everything

Every single thing, left nothing out... From me finding out my grandad was a psychopathic serial killer when I went for my summer holiday to my very weird creepy aunt and her not-so-normal daughter

"Should we tell the cops about the dead body? ” Lily asked after a while

“I don't really care, my life is a mess. Or---wait, I care, please don't, let them find it themselves” I replied

"Why?” She asked with a look of confusion

"Because they'll ask me why I went to the woods and when they find out, I'm afraid my life would be worse than hell” I replied.

"Oh” She said and after a while, she spoke up again

"Let's attend a party”

"Lil---”

"And I'm not taking No for an answer. Besides I was telling you, not asking you and you need to loosen up a bit. You're a mess” She said cutting me off.

"Thanks for reminding me” I said rolling my eyes

"What are friends for?” She smiled.

" I miss you, honestly" She said after a while and I turned to her with a smile " ever since you left for the country side, you changed a bit and I've always felt so betrayed but since you've told me all about it, I completely understand, all this is too hard on you so Luna promise me if you ever need to talk or escape, you'll call me"

" I promise" I said, almost tearing up as I held her hands

"I don't want you to just say it, say it and mean it" She said

" I promise!" I said with a watery smile

"Best friends forever?" She questioned turning to me with a smile

" Best friends forever" I confirmed with a nod.
