GRAHAM'S POV

How do you feel when there's nothing left to feel..., what do you do when you know there's nothing else you can do, what do you hope for when every thing you hope for is taken away, the only meaningful thing I can draw from all this is, just because your breathing.., doesn't mean you're  alive

"Graham!!!!!!!, Graham we need to go!!, it's over there's nothing we can do, Auroras' yelling was blurry in my ears as I starred in doubt.

"You can't keep running forever Graham, not like I need to but I'll find you", Brandon said with a smile. First he took Tiana, we finally had her back, now he taken Jesse and my mom, for good. "Your father's sword is a really fine piece Gray, he wouldn't be so proud you handed it over to me". I felt my knees weaken as he spoke. "Don't call me Gray"

"Graham!, let's go, the spell won't hold him any longer!!"

                ~48 Hours Earlier~

GRAHAM'S POV

"So how exactly do u suggest we stop the dark king", Kevin asked with an unusual curious look. "Well, we're going to need the human's help". I said with a low tune when realizing that the humans made a truce with our kind. Humans were not to get involve with magic business, and we were not meant to endanger them. "With the look on your face I can Tell You see every thing wrong with that". Aurora said.

"Well do you have any better idea to weaponise a gargoyle", I asked. " Why would you want to weaponise a gargoyle?", Jesse looked confused at my idea,  but I had a good reason.

"Aurora, you said the gargoyle has the ability to suppress the powers of anyone, that include the dark king, so if we can harness the ability into a weapon, get close enough to the dark king, we could suppress his powers and take him down", I explained, and they all looked stunned.

"I hate to admit but that's a good idea", Aurora agreed with me before continuing, "but we don't need humans to make that, we weren't given magic to not know what to do with it..., but what about   your mom, she's still linked to him". Aurora asked, " I did my research, a whole lot of that, and I found someone who can sever the link, we just need to get her go to him". I said sounding straight.

"I'm going to get the power dampener ready right away", Aurora said as she left the group. " And I'll get your mom to the...., what ever his name his, he'll sever the link", Kevin said making his way to my mom's room. "How about you Jesse?" I asked her. "I'm gonna go work on my magic". This was all weird, every thing was falling in place, we were finally going  after Tiana, and stopping the dark king. "What are YOU going to do now?", Eric asked me. He was the only one of the guardians that I felt I could warm up to. Aurora, she's understanding but, we're distinct. Kevin, he's always straightforward and ominous, he's the creepiest of all the guardians. " How about we go train some more?", I asked Eric with a smirk, this time, signalling him to follow.

Again I picked a regular sword, but instead of striking, I had something else in my mind. "Tell me about the dark king", I asked Kevin, my lack of focus caused me not to notice his incoming attack, but hey..., thank God for reflexes. I took my sword fast enough to block his.

"His name was Brandon", I didn't let him finish, "Was?, but he's still very much alive". I said to him, "Brandon was our friend, our partner. Tables turn, bridges burn, but we all live and learn..., life can change, you just have to adjust. Those were the things he'd say, sometimes they were inspiring but now, it feels like he'd already written his fate". I could see disdain on his face. It was obvious they missed Brandon, atleast for a while. Eric continued talking.

"He used to make a joke, it was funny but it made everyone laugh. He'd say.., ~The baby bat screamed in fright, turn on the dark, I'm scared of the light..~"

"He seemed dark from before now", I said looking away trying to think as Eric knocked me down, again. "Lesson two,  never turn your back on your enemy". I groaned and got up again.

I left to see my mom one more time,  I had to talk to her before she leaves. I stood by her door and starred for a while, and I slowly let my guard down I started talking to her, "mom.., I know I'm not meant to be here but, I just wanted to tell you that I miss you. Actually, I've been wanting to tell you that since we found you". I felt my self begin to tear up, "I don't know if I can do this mom, I really wish you were here, I have dozens of questions but.." She cut me short before I could finish, "all your questions will be answered, and we're going to have all the time in the world when all this is over. Now go save your sister, and stop that son of a bitch".

Every one was ready, we had our weapon, mom was being transferred and she'll hopefully meet up there, Jesse had her amulet that glows whenever something bad is about to happen and also enhances her power. All the guardians had their weapons on, and I pulled my father's sword out, the linings began to glow. " We take on the dark king at dawn". I said putting the sword back in.
