Portion 12: [WINTER]
Dedicated to: Izayoix
You know why? Oh, I'll tell you why. Because technically, you were helping me with my writing. Just read this chapter. You'll know what I mean. cx (You gave me a nosebleed in your book)
-Kyuu Ketsueki-
That dragon was not my favorite creature.
Not wanting to waste any of my valuable time that I had left, I quickly shot up to my feet and dusted my lavender skirt which was made out of different sorts of cloths: Polyester, viscose, and just a little bit of silk.
This object is something that I value so much. I bought it from one of the Underworld's famous malls, it was a rare edition.
Almost any fiber can be used for crepe, but most common materials are cotton, wool, silk, viscose (rayon), and polyester. Depending on the material, crepe is suitable for a variety of different garments; outerwear, shirts and blouses, trousers, skirts and dresses.
And now, it is ruined because of that pesky, little dragon! What such 'asphyxiation' it made to my skirt, it'll show its respects all right. In the Fields of Punishment!
Anyway, enough of my gibberish talk. I'll deal with that dragon later. That is, assuming I'd survive a dimension filled with intoxicating dragons and fire, which, by the way, can be one of the dumbest way for me to plummet to my sixtieth (60th) temporary death.
The night sky stood like a proud soldier at attention, an inky canopy of darkness providing a scathing curtain to the gloomy details of the world. A blanket of stars graced the pitch darkness with a fleeting glow, and the crescent moon hung still, its ethereal luminescence threading through each nook and cranny of murky shadows that it met.
Fiery flames of incalculable dragons that soared up in the skies decorated the massive, empty space of the night, turning the once gelid temperature of the night into a warm, breezy air. A tiny speck of flame came floating by my side, making my skin tingle from the warmth it has created.
My eyes gazed over to my right, meeting a pair of sharp, yellow-green ones. The scales of the dragon were painted with a smooth color of black, matching itself with the night sky. A passable camouflage of intimacy. My mouth twitched in fear as the reptile growled at me, purple fire breathing out of its mouth. Its toothless feature only showed such delicate gums, yet the eyes let my ego whimper in fear. "You again." The same dragon as earlier.
I raised my hands in defense, which only made the dragon growl even louder. Its eyes carefully followed each and every single movement I made. As I distracted it with my left hand, my other hand went to work and grabbed the dagger from my scabbard. The steel blade made contact with the surface of the scabbard, making it produce a soft yet sharp noise. The dragon looked at my hand holding the weapon in alert.
I muttered a few curses under my breath and got ready for any sudden movements it would make. After not more than a second, the dragon pounced at me and I typically failed to defend myself. I could feel the weight of the reptile crushing into my body as the dagger from my hand fell from my loosened grip.
A soft 'tch' came out from my mouth and I attempted on getting my dagger, but the dragon slammed the object away, making it out of my reach. I looked straight in the eyes of the reptile as it glared at me in anger. "What did I do to you?" I asked.
I didn't know what I was expecting. Perhaps, a reply? No, I was stupid to think of that. That was an animal. Instead, the dragon snorted as if it was mocking me and breathed in a large amount of air, signalling me it was about to roast me with purple flames.
I shut my eyes tight, preparing to be burnt to my sixtieth dumb way to temporarily die, when a voice shouted, "Toothless, stop!"
No flames touched the surface of my skin. The weight of the reptile, slowly but surely, went away until I only felt the night breeze floating around me. I slowly opened one of my eyes to find a young girl staring at me while the dragon that almost killed me earlier, stood by her side, still giving me a glower of suspicion.
The young girl helped me get up to my feet. "Good," I muttered, dusting my clothes. "I don't think a roasted bat would have tasted good."
She had a really delicate, feminine feature for someone that looked around seven or eight years old. Her dirty blonde hair tumbled down her shoulders while some parts stayed in her back, falling to the level of her waist. Her piercing, mesmerizing emerald green eyes shone in the dark night, while staring at my now indigo vampire eyes.
She looks familiar... A voice in my head said. I picked up my dagger and slid the object to my scabbard. The female walked up to me, telling me I should rest at her home.
I bit my bottom lip. "I don't think that's a good idea," I said, as the dragon, who I assumed was named Toothless, continued scowling at me. I caught a short glimpse of the time when I almost got burnt in the face and shuddered. That was a pretty useless thing to say since she just ignored me and walked ahead.
"This way," the girl said, leading me to somewhere-only-Gad-knows. I followed behind her as we entered a small village which I assumed was her hometown. People walked around, armored in viking suits, and like the young girl, some were accompanied by different kinds of dragons.
A man with a blue dragon passed by us. I felt a warm feeling of sensation on my leg, then I realized the blue dragon exhaled a little amount of flames. I quietly, but still in panic, put it out until nothing was left but my destroyed knee sock. I heard Toothless giggle evilly under his breath and I glared at him.
"Here we are," the girl stopped so abruptly, I almost bumped into her. My eyes gazed over at a huge mansion that was so astounding, I don't know how I did not notice it from far away with all the small little village houses. Toothless frolicked into the small entrance on the front door as the young girl rang the doorbell attached to the side of a notch on the mansion's wall.
The door opened with such force, and another girl that looked older than the young one hugged her tight. After a moment passed, she broke the hug and gave the young girl a stern look. "Winter, you shouldn't go running off like that! And please control that dragon of yours.
