Portion 11: [CHRISSEL] Peaceful
Previously, on Chrissel's point of view...
Did you catch that?
Listen, before that even happened, my mom died already.
Before my father attempted on killing me and beating my tiny body into bits, I already knew about him and his woman. That stupid, old woman.
I'm just insulting her (yeah, I know right, I'm such'a bad girl), she's not literally old. But I meant that 'stupid' part.
Dude, if she's not bad, why, in the actual name of Gad, would she let my father CHEAT?!
.. Oh?
Well... I don't have much time. I think I've found something more interesting in my perspective.
I'll continue my tale another time. For now, farewell.

~Walking While Talking? Eh. Seeing a Burnt Mansion and Getting Almost Killed? At Least I Had Excitement For Once.~
Walking around in the streets while narrating my story is pretty normal. But seeing a run-down, burnt, old mansion? How new.
A cold shiver tingled from my foot's sole to the inner core of my brain. I analyzed the mansion by the outside and sensed people inside it.
At first, I hesitated and stepped backward. This isn't my house. I've got no business here. I thought. But then, there goes my stupid low-altered ego getting pushed away by no one other than... me. My other me, if you know what I mean.
The sides of my lips slowly curled to form into a mischievous, evil smile. "Oh, it won't hurt to take a little... detour inside." A familiar voice whispered.
It was my voice.
I continued making that mischievous smile and made a step forward. "Yes. It won't.. hurt. At all."
As soon as I stepped on the front steps, my eyebrows furrowed at the sight of the broken doors. I examined it. My fingers ran down on the scratches and burnt areas around it. "This is newly done." I could tell from the color and from the measure of the temperature.
I continued walking towards the inside until I was in the heart of the mansion. The inside wasn't as bad as the outside. Just a few broken chandeliers, broken pieces of glass scattered across the floors, and a few rusted areas in the corners. Oh, don't forget that big hole made in one of the corners of a bedroom.
"Looks like a meteor crashed in this place or something," I muttered. "What happened?"
"A fellow Underling crashed it," a voice echoed from behind me. I flinched and turned around to face a guy that looked around his 20s. My mind immediately started gathering information. He wears what looks like a ragged, old kimono. His long dark red hair is pulled back on a low ponytail, making him look a tad bit... feminine.
He raised an eyebrow at me. "I may have such low-quality feminine features because of my hair, but I'm stronger than I look." He fixed his eyes, which were a shade of maroon, with my light brown ones.
My eyes widened. "Wait, how'd you know-"
"He's a perverted psychic," came another voice from behind him. A girl that looked also around her 20s came strutting down the room. Her features resembled a dull expression. She had black, messy hair, with a bat clip pulling a corner of her hair from her right side. Her eyes were as grey as a storm. Something about her made me feel like I shouldn't mess with her.
"You talk too much," the guy said and rolled his eyes.
The girl just shrugged and gave him a smirk. "Ditto."
"Um," I cleared my throat, grabbing their attentions once again. Like, hey, I still exist, okay?
Both of them gave me unreadable expressions, that made me feel uncomfortable. "Uh."
Finally, after what seemed like forever, the two of them looked at each other and looked like they were having a silent conversation. Then they looked at me again and introduced themselves.
The guy was named Tatsuya. And the girl... Kyuu Ketsueki. I gave them a little smile. "I'm-"
"Chrissel Yukizu." Both of them said in unison. My mouth hung open. "How-"
"He's a psychic."
"She's a stalker."
I bit my bottom lip, not really sure how to respond. Both of them glared at each other and looked like they were resisting the urge from killing each other.
"Killing." My mouth felt dry as I uttered the word slowly and with such syllabication.
"Excuse me?" Kyuu said.
That's when I slowly started going... crazy. I suddenly craved for... blood. No, not like how vampires crave. But like... It was my killer instinct. My eyes darkened and hid behind the bangs of my hair.
I knew what was happening, yet I also didn't. I was being possessed again. My hands trembled as they slowly pressed the rings on both of my left and right me'dius fingers, making them metamorphose into long, sharp twin swords.
A smile that I know I didn't own, slowly made its way into my face. "Kill 'em."

~Stupid Possessions~
I hate being attacked unarmed.
I honestly, seriously still don't know why I left my dagger in the living room where Haruto and the Chosen One, Tesa, were sleeping.
Earlier, Haruto has left through teleportation after a moment of resting. Tatsuya has given him chores to do, that's why. Honestly, if I was that kid, I would've killed Tatsuya and send him to the depths of Tartarus already. Just sayin'. Tatsuya walked into the room just after Haruto left. He gave me another of his smirks, and walked up to me.
"You two got along pretty well," he said, sitting next to me.
"Yes," I waved my hands in front of him to show as a gesture that I was free from his stupid psychic and that it was an inadequate choice to sit next to me for I was ready to punch his lights out. Surprisingly, he didn't even flinch.
"Girl, I know what you're thinking," he said. "Unfortunately for you, I can tell you want to slit my throat right now. Even before you make an action-"
"'I know what you'll do because I can read your mind.' Blah, blah, blah. I know more than you think I know." I said, rolling my eyes.
He grinned at me. "I like you."
Then came the presence of another person. I immediately shot up to my feet, and so did Tatsuya. Words didn't have to speak for our actions. Underlings contain much more intelligence than mortals. We looked at each other and gave a knowing look.
Then skipping to the part wherein we met one of the Chosen Ones, Chrissel Yukizu. I just seriously wanted to drown Tatsuya when he said I was a "stalker." I told him to shut up about my mission. He could've given it all away.
While we were typically shooting daggers at each other, I heard the Chosen One utter something that I didn't hear.
"Excuse me?" I said.
She ignored my side question. But she didn't have to answer me to let me know, Oh hey, I'm getting possessed right now, and I have Ring Twin Swords by my side to make you and him plummet to your deaths!
Quote the deaths. I am immortal. We only die temporarily. Glad I have more than nine lives.
I knew she was being possessed... by herself. Her other self. This was one crucial information about her that Gad has given me.
She may look like an angel, but sometimes, if anyone reminds her about death or killing she can be messed up and go on a killing spree. I told Tatsuya through telepathy.
He shook his head. The only look he could give me was a look of, Shit.
"Kill 'em." A raspy voice came from the girl. She lunged straight at me and aimed her Twin Swords at my chest. I stumbled backwards and fell to my behind. Before her blades could make contact with my skin, Tatsuya threw himself in front of me and deflected the blades with his scimitar. Chrissel bounced off backwards and came crashing to a wall.
"You alright?" Tatsuya asked, offering a hand. I accepted it and he pulled me up. I nodded, too shocked to speak. He smirked at me. "Hey. A girl like you shouldn't be so surprised about such an action. I mean, you're experienced and all. Not to mention, for so many millennia."
"I know that," I snapped, slapping his hand away when I realized he was still holding mine. My right hand automatically reached for my scabbard where I always placed my dagger. When I felt no such object made contact with the palm of my hand, my eyes gazed down to see an empty scabbard. My mouth twitched. "Screw me and my life." I mumbled.
Before averting his gaze from the Chosen One, who was then feebly standing up and giving both of us one wild hell of a glare, he said, "What?"
"I left my dagger in the living room." I muttered.
His eyes widened. "What?!"
I rolled my eyes and gave him a look that says, do I have to say everything all over again?
Before he could give me a comeback or whatever clever reply he has in mind, we both heard the footsteps of Chrissel tapping on the floor, step by step. We immediately turned our attention back at the possessed Chosen One. Her bright peach-colored hair did not really match her crazy, dark aura lurking around her.
But you're a vampire, right? You can fight through combat with no weapon, right? I mean, that's how you took on Haruto earlier. Tatsuya said telepathically with a little panic ringing in his tone.
Well, yeah. I said. But I kind of drained out of energy.
Pesky girl.
Shut up.
I don't think Chrissel Yukizu tolerates arguing through telepathy, because she decided to fasten her pace and came running towards me.
I transformed to my vampire form. Sparkles and bits sprinkled everywhere in my hair, making it night-black. My eyes changed from their usual grey ones to a shade of the last color of the rainbow, indigo. My bat-like wings sprouted from behind my spine, giving me that odd feeling that I always feel whenever they come.
The Chosen One jumped to the air and swung her Twin Swords side to side, ready to stab me. As gravity slowly pulled her to me, she twirled in the air, making her look like a graceful tornado with deadly swords. I took control of my wings and they held me and my weight up to the air, making her miss. She was able to control her crash on the ground by using her Twin Swords. Before landing, the Chosen One used the sharp tips of her swords to slit the floor. Immediately, she let her grip from her Twin Swords loose and she jumped to the air and landed on her toes with perfect balance on the handle of both of her swords.
If I was her gym teacher, I would've given her an A with that perfect somersault. But, unfortunately, gym teacher is about to get slit on the throat with her student's Twin Swords like the way it destroyed the floor.
From the corner of my eye, I could see Tatsuya drooling his mouth off. Then I realized he was looking at Chrissel, whose skirt was being blown freely by the wind. With the height of she was in, it was too obvious what Tatsuya was drooling at.
I randomly picked up one of the broken pieces of the floor and threw it at Tatsuya. The object landed on his head. Hard. He snapped out of his delusion and gave me a look like, What the hell? I just rolled my eyes and turned my attention back at the Chosen One.
Chrissel jumped from the handles of her swords and landed on the floor. I stepped backward a little and prepared for any sudden movements and attacks. Surprisingly enough, the Chosen One just stood on the ground on her feet while giving me and Tatsuya an icy glare. But mostly me.
"I know what you're plotting," the raspy voice came from her mouth, and she now focused her glare at me. "You're attempting to disable me, aren't you?"
I looked at her in the eyes. Perhaps she knows something. "What do you know?"
Chrissel, or the one possessing her rather, sneered at me. "Everything. You're going to bring this girl-" she pointed at herself, but I knew she was referring to Chrissel. "-to another timeline. Which is a forbidden action."
I felt myself starting to heat up. Anger roused from my strings of emotions to my external features. I was about to speak up. To let her know that all of these damn things I'm doing is for Gad and that He knows what the hell He is doing. Tatsuya didn't have to stop me from speaking because Chrissel spoke before I could.
"And bringing her to that other timeline," the glare in her expression hardened. "Making her do all that dirty work. Or no, most importantly, making her unite with those other pesky Chosen Ones, that would make me disappear!"
Suddenly, the anger within me slowly vanished but not completely and was replaced with sympathy. Sympathy, yet mixed with a little anger too. This spirit, whoever was possessing this poor girl, knows that if Chrissel would make friends, which she never had, the spirit herself would disappear. Because the spirit has completed her task. She wouldn't be needed to "guide" Chrissel anymore.
"How did you know?" I asked, my throat dry.
"Underling, I'm a spirit. I can go anywhere. You should know that since you're from the Underworld and used to serve Master Hades." She said, making a sarcastic smile show on her face.
My knees trembled at the part when she mentioned my former master. I forced myself to speak. "You're serving Hades?"
"Master Hades, you rude Underling!"
I gritted my teeth. "Before I quit from serving Hades, he and Gad were in typical bad terms. But a few years after I quit, I served Gad. Hades and Gad have made amends many and many years ago. They swore upon the Goddess of Milky Way, Agape. There's no way they'd betray each other."
The spirit snorted. "Hah! You think so lowly of our Master Hades, now don't you?" Her hands reached behind her and gripped on her Twin Blades. "All the more reason for me to eliminate you!"
The spirit left the body of the Chosen One and revealed her true form. Like a dead person, to be more specific. She looked like Chrissel.. but older. She had peach hair with a few strands of white. Her eyes were the same shade of light brown. Her wrinkled skin ruined her sheer perfection of her features. In the blink of an eye, she lunged for me, I knew I was too late to make an action.
Just when I thought she caught me, a sword came flying and hit the spirit right through her chest.
My eyes widened in shock. But the spirit was more in shock. I turned to look at where Tatsuya was standing. He also had a shocked expression too and gave me an, It wasn't me look.
The spirit screamed in agony. "No!!"
"No," My eyes gazed behind the spirit and saw Chrissel trying to stand up. Then when she managed, she picked up the other Twin Sword and started walking towards the spirit. "You're wrong."
The spirit stopped screaming and fell to her knees. Chrissel pointed the tip of her Twin Blade at the back of the spirit's neck. "Even if dad continues being such a prick, even if I make friends, which I never had, I would still need you."
Tatsuya slowly walked up to me. "What's happening?"
"I think..." I trailed off, leaving the event to happen without me telling.
Tears formed in Chrissel's eyes and they slowly flowed down her face, making them fall into the hair of the spirit. "I would still need you... even if I had all of those blessings. I would still need you, even if I was old." Tears also started to form on the spirit's eyes and she just quietly listened as Chrissel continued her words.
Chrissel wiped her eyes. "But even if I do, there would be times I'd need to be independent. And overall... you have to move on. As much as I want to I can't let you stay forever. You can't stay with me forever. You were just there because I couldn't move on. But now, I'm ready."
The spirit slowly stood up and I was afraid she would attack the Chosen One. But she just turned around and gave her a little smile. "You've grown."
"You were my only friend. You taught me many things. The good.. and the bad. So that I could grow." Chrissel started crying again. "And it took me this long.. to.. realize.. you.. you..." she faltered, and hugged the spirit.
I bit my lip and reached for Tatsuya's hand. He raised an eyebrow at me. "Let's leave them alone."
Tatsuya narrowed his eyes. "Are you out of your mind? The spirit could kill her!"
I shook my head. "No. When Chrissel's done, I can put her in the other timeline. But... I want her to leave this timeline with no regrets."
I could tell Tatsuya was hesitant, but he decided to go anyway. I smiled at him. "Thanks."
He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Anything for a pesky girl." I let go of his hand and punched his arm and he just chuckled quietly.
And so, we left the room to make two close people reconcile.

~Reconciliation~
Warm. She felt warm. The warmth to my cold days... it was her.
I continued hugging her as the tears in my eyes slowly dried out. She stroke my hair as we quietly listened to the peaceful nature. The wind blew softly.
"Mom," I finally choked out. "You have to go."
I felt her nod her head. "Yes... I know." My mom broke our hug then looked at me in the eyes. Her light brown eyes were so much like mine. "But there's one thing I want you to do for me."
I nervously bit my lip. I couldn't believe it! She's still asking for something? How stupid of me to think we'd make up.
Then a warm smile plastered on her face. "Enjoy your life. Have nice friends. Please take care."
Slowly, but surely, I returned the smile. "I will."
Mom looked down at one of the Ring Twin Sword stuck on her chest. A pang of sorrow and guilt hit me. "I'm sorry... I... It's just that..."
"Ssh," she hushed. "I know why you did it. And I'm glad you did. I'm glad you used my gift for something... good." I slightly smiled and nodded. "Time for me to go, Chrissel."
I nodded again. Yet this time, with tears starting to form in my eyes again. I wiped them, which was a useless effort, since they kept coming back.
"Be strong. And Chrissel.. Don't despise your dad."
"But dad is with another..." I faltered.
"Yes," mom said sadly. "I know. And he was... the cause of my death. But I don't want you to despise him for that. I want you to do the best decisions in your life, without violence. Please."
I nodded. "Okay. I'll do my best."
And with that, my mom hugged me for the very last time then slowly dissolved into dust. The wind carried it to the Elysium of the Underworld.
After a few moments of letting everything sink in, I fell to my knees and let tears stream down my face like a river until I didn't have any energy left.

~Another Chosen One Down, Two More to Go.~
My hands clenched as I listened to the Chosen One cry and cry for hours with no stop. Then finally, the only sound I could hear was silence. I looked at Tatsuya and he nodded.
We both stood up and slowly walked up to the poor girl lying on the ground, hugging her hands. I looked closely and saw one ring on both middle fingers. That must have been the Ring Twin Swords given by her mom. If I remember correctly.
I knelt next to Chrissel Yukizu while Tatsuya sat next to me.
"Hey, Tatsuya," I said so quietly, I thought he didn't hear me. "Do you think... what I'm doing is right?"
The Underling just raised an eyebrow at me. "Now you're doubting your decisions? And here I thought you knew what you and Gad were doing was right."
I rolled my eyes for what seemed like, the millionth time of the day.
"Look," Tatsuya sighed. "As long as you know this benefits her, and each and every Chosen One, then it's all right. Besides, her mom did say she could make friends; A new step towards her real life. The beginning."
"Yes, you're right." I said.
I gave Chrissel one long look like I was examining her, then finally, with the snap of my fingers, the portal to the other timeline appeared.
"That will never get old." Tatsuya said and grinned.
Tatsuya offered to help me carry her but I just gave him a skeptical look like, You're just trying to get a look at her underwear, huh? Get a job.
He just rolled his eyes and watched me as I transferred the Chosen One to the other timeline.
After I did, I immediately went to the living room where my dagger was placed. "I won't leave you ever again." I felt stupid talking to an object, but whatever.
Tatsuya followed behind me. I transformed to my vampire form and adjusted the uneasiness coming from my wings. He gave me an unreadable expression. "What are you doing?"
"Leaving." I said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "And continuing my mission. I'm almost done with this. Then I can return to my original timeline."
"Wait," Tatsuya's eyes widened. "You're not from this timeline?"
I raised an eyebrow. "Yeah." My wings fluttered, lifting me off the ground. "I never told you that? Or was that just not obvious and clear to you. How do you think I can summon portals to other timelines? It's A-class magic, pretty boy."
He mumbled a few words I couldn't hear and decided to ignore. I rose to the air. "Thanks for the help, but now I've got to keep going."
He just smirked. "Sure, sure. Keep going, pesky girl."
I rolled my eyes then smiled at him. Then I sped off to a place where no one could see me and summoned a portal that leads to another world.
Going in, the first one to greet me was a dragon that almost blew fire on me. I yelped. I watched as the dragon flew over my head. Great. I'm gonna deal with dragons and fire? I hate fire.
