Resolved
When you slowly woke up, your body not feeling as run down as before, Dean was no longer holding you. In fact you were alone in the room, which was not a comforting fact. "Dean?" You called out, as your sleep riddled brain tried to remember what had just happened.
"In here!" Dean answered from the bathroom, and you relaxed. Leaning back against the headboard, you took stock of your body. No longer as weak and exhausted as you had been, you could easily tell you weren't completely healed yet. Your bones still ached, and you still felt listless. But it was better than yesterday when you had wanted to do nothing but sleep the day away.
Striding out of the bathroom, wearing nothing but a towel, his chest and hair slick, he had been in the middle of a shower. "You're awake!" He exclaimed.
"How long was I out?" You asked him as he turned to face the dresser, whipping off his towel so you got a delectable view of his bare bottom before he slid on a pair of boxers. Throwing on a t-shirt, he turned to face you again.
"Almost a full 24 hours. Gabriel and Cas both said that was normal, but I was starting to freak out. You were so pale, not moving at all." He admitted, coming to sit next to you.
"But did it work? Does Gabriel know how to save me?" You asked him, searching his face for the truth. What you saw hard your hopes dashing. "It's just a temporary fix, isn't it?" You asked, hating the fact that your voice broke at the end.
"Hey, wait, I didn't even say anything!" Dean argued, grasping your hand. "Gabriel learned a lot while you were asleep. And he does have an idea on how to fix you, but it's tricky and dangerous, and I don't like it at all."
"But if we have no other choice..." You insisted.
"Listen, there is always another choice. We were able to defeat Uriel without giving in, and we will figure this out to." He answered.
"But Gabriel was our other choice." You whispered. "He did something to make me feel better, but how long is that going to last? I think we should stick with his plan."
You could hear the sound of rustling from behind our door, probably Sam and Cas making their way back to the room. "We are. Because for right now it's the best one we've got."
The door was quietly pushed open, and Sam poked his head inside. "Y/N you're awake!" Sam exclaimed, stepping farther in, his arms full of bags.
"Yep. Feeling a little better too." You told him, sitting up and away from Dean as Sam placed a bag in your hands. Glancing down, you saw some of your favorite comfort foods, along with some vitamins. "Thanks Sam."
"Until we can figure this out, I was hoping that extra vitamins will at least slow down the battery drain as much as possible." He explained, opening the bottle and handing you two pills. Downing them with the Gatorade he had brought you, you turned towards the food, actually feeling hungry for the first time in a long time.
"Where's Gabriel?" You asked, munching away on your food.
Sam had brought back Dean a hamburger, and he sat next to you, stuffing his face. "The Ass left. Said he had some things to look up. I just hope he actually comes back."
Sitting there, surrounded by the three men had become so dear to you, you knew they would do anything in their power to keep you safe. "Listen guys, I think we need to talk." You said softly, your food laying forgotten on your lap as they both turned towards you.
"Y/N, we aren't doing this now...We still have time, and options." Dean argued, but you placed your hand on his thigh.
"No, please let me do this. Sure Gabriel might be able to save me, but I want to say this before the possibility of it not working happens." You pleaded with him, your eyes staring straight at him. "I just need to tell you how much all of you mean to me. Taking me in when you didn't even know me. Helping me out when it caused you so much trouble. You could have stepped back at any time, and you didn't. I'll never be able to repay you for that."
"You don't have to.." Dean started to interrupt, but a glance from you had him shutting up.
"I knew you would say that. But it added a lot to your plate. Things you probably would have dealt with anyways, but oh well. Because you guys did step up, I've made some pretty amazing friends, and have fallen in love with the greatest guy." You squeezed Dean's leg for effort. "So no matter how this all goes down, I just wanted you guys to know that. That the best part of my life so far has been spent with you. And if this does go well, I hope I can continue hunting with you guys."
"Of course. If this things goes well, I'm never letting you out of my sight." Dean insisted, as Sam stood up, patting you on the back and smiling down at you. Cas stood off to the side, smiling, but unsure how he should proceed. And you were being truthful. It did feel nice to know that no matter what, you had these guys with you every step of the way.
