backstory
jesse started life roughly. with a father that had always been forcible jesse had a feeling when he got older that his mother didn't mean to have him but simply had to. the man liked to drink- he liked to wallow in life's failures and he liked taking out his anger on anyone or anything nearby- that person was his wife. they had met in highschool and got hitched immediately, Robert even convincing jesse's mom to drop out of highschool for him and run away together. and when jesse was born she was trapped with the man or else she would face homelessness. together they suffered for some years. the abuse would go off and on, sometimes with good months and others not so good. jesse became a quick target and took any hitting that might have been for his mother since he never could bear to hear her scream. when he was thirteen however something inside him snapped. he got home late from school and heard his mother sobbing. that was all he really remembered before he reportedly dashed into the room and beat the living hell out of the man he called his father. it landed both of them in jail, but Robert lost the most, getting a full prison sentence after the abuse was confessed while Jesse just got mild community service time. and at last they were free.
not without scars of course, Jesse still has trouble communicating with people normally and isn't one to shy away from acting out because he doesn't have a good way to cope with his trauma (and doesn't get much sleep). but his mom got a job and he graduated highschool and together they have done the only thing they could: survive.

jesse is a nice boy all things considering. despite his tall and intimidating looks, worsened by his dark baggy eyes from lack of sleep and resting bitch face, he's actually quite friendly and open. he's a little shy at first, admittedly, and isn't the quickest person to come to trust. usually he assumes people are planning to hurt him which is why he's anxious about getting close to anyone, even if he's nice to them. he's very loyal though once you get him and he will protect people who are hurting or gone through hurt with his life. willing to sacrifice anything to make sure his two loved ones are safe and happy. he can even forgive behavior that isn't healthy for the sake of keeping them close and is willing to keep taking someone like that back over and over again. he's a softie in the end and doesn't wish harm on anyone even though most people think he looks intimidating. when it comes to his past he's very sensitive and and doesn't like to talk about it. it makes him hate fighting and conflict and will bend easily if he's yelled at. the only time he'd every fight back is if his mother or y/oc was in danger.

the whole thing is based around y/oc and Jesse already being in a relationship and Jesse starts to worry that y/oc is getting a lil too in love with him and cares too much about protecting him after hearing about his father, ect. im hoping y/oc is kinda crazy and maybe is obsessed w him and they have this crazy person relationship where Jesse still loves y/oc even though y/oc is kinda crazy and they're still there for each other in a twisted way? let's say Jesse tries to back off and y/oc is upset about that and gets even more upset when he sees Jesse out with another guy. Idk how crazy you want to make y/oc but I'm down~
