Chapter- 88 (Ḁ̷͈͛n̶̜̻̳̑̎̕t̶͓̋̽ȉ̴̭͎͉V̵̧̮̫͝o̶̲̱̓̈́̕ǐ̴̭̬͜d̸̡̘̆̌̐)

Karma liked the AntiVoid. He didn't like the three new monsters though..

——

FGOC Multiverse

Nova stood by the SwapDream called Sol, very amused at how they thought they had gotten one up on him. He might be insane but he wasn't an idiot. The main reason he allowed them to take Karma to these 'friends' of theirs, was to get more cannon fodder for the Godling, when things inevitably went to shit.

He roughly put his hand on Sols shoulder and pumped them full of his magic, smirking at the pain they received from the process. If they had asked why it hurt so much, he had the perfect excuse of this part being 'vital' to allow them to move multiverses easier but truthfully he was just being spiteful, for them having the nerve to be so close to his Godling.

He was more than happy to watch the chaos of Sol getting to the new multiverse by themselves, while he also got to annoy Oneiro in the meantime. He had told Oneiro multiple times he didn't want to only watch but of course the idiot ignored it. This is what he gets for ignoring him.

" Good luck, pigeon. Hope we never meet again "

He turned his gaze towards Sols arms, where he could spot Karma close to waking up. His gaze softened and he gently pat their skull, smirking at the glare they gave at being woken up.

" Have fun, Godling "

Sol was relieved when Nova finally left and started gathering his magic to get to his destination. Little aster had been losing their shine as the months passed and that could not be allowed. They were much too interesting to let that happen~.

Sol stumbled on the 'ground' and grumbled at how annoying it was to find these beings. He was a tad suspicious why Nova hadn't done this himself but he had sensed their sadistic amusement when looking at him, which was answer enough. Not to mention he wasn't powerful enough to truly go against them, it was just lucky that this time they had a similar goal~.

He wished he was able to enter the multiverse the Creator suggested but the sheer power needed to do so, not to mention it being watched by a Deity rather closely, was too much of a risk to try.

He had also heard of some rumours that the Destroyer was a tad..unhinged. Now normally he would have ignored that, as he was hardly sane himself, but the powers he had heard they had even made him flinch.

Sol was a tad wary if Karma would survive it but the Creator had merely smirked and said it would all be fine. That had made him twitch in irritation and he only calmed down when Nova admitted to knowing that multiverse as well. They might be an insane Destroyer but he at least knew they cared for the babybones..it was more himself he had the worry about now .

Which was why his 'friends' would be ever so helpful~.

He knew they didn't exactly like him but if he caught their interest just enough they would do what he wanted, without even realising it!..as long as he was nowhere near them when Karma met them.

"Sol? Why are we in the AntiVoid?"

He startled at the voice but was pleased that Karma had fully woken up.

"I am playing a game with, Oneiro~"

Karma could feel how tense Sol was and the way they looked around on high alert, so was a tad suspicious if this was even the truth. He had little time to question further, as he was soon set down on the 'ground' after a very quick magical feeding, with Sol looking ready to bolt straight after.

"Can I play?"

"Why little aster, you already are. My friends should find you soon though, so there is no need to worry~"

Karma felt his wings droop as Sol disappeared, not liking that he was alone again. Looking around didn't help, as all he saw was white and his senses were useless in the AntiVoid, due to the nature of this place.

He whined in sadness and took out his bear from Traveller, chirping in happiness as the magic swept over him. Now he wasn't alone anymore!

Looking around he picked a random direction and walked forward, just to have something to do. He hummed a made up tune, giggling at the weird acoustics this place had. The AntiVoid was truly intriguing.

He was unsure how long he had been walking for but when he yawned, he decided a nap sounded like a good idea. He grabbed some pillows and the blanket his brother had made for him. He was mesmerised when he had first found it, due to the many moving scenes on it, as it looked like each patch of the quilt was a different universe, making a rather cool image.

He had made sure to hide this from Oneiro, as he had seen the way they had looked at the pin, when they thought he wasn't looking. He liked the items his brother gave him and did not want to give them up. Satisfied with his selection, he laid on top of his pile of pillows and wrapped the quilt around him, purring at the LOVE/HOPE he could feel in it.

He loved the gifts his brother got him but he was a tad surprised at the number of pillows he had found, waiting from him in their space. He was unsure if he would ever use that many...but he he still put them all in his inventory, just in case.

They were soft and made by his brother, of course he would keep them! He buried himself into his pile and closed his sockets, loving how quiet it was for once.

Karma enjoyed his nap and when he fully woke up, he stretched out his wings in satisfaction. He made sure all his items were safely back in his inventory but kept the toy bear in his arms. He squeezed it tight and continued his walk, having a passive thought of how many more naps he would have, until he found whoever Sol said was here.

He stopped when he realised he could sense some SOULS not too far away, wondering if these were who Sol wanted him to meet. He was a tad annoyed they hadn't at least told him what they looked liked, so he would just have to hope this was them.

He startled as three figures suddenly appeared in front of him and he stared at them in bafflement. Karma usually recognised most beings by their SOUL, as looks were so variable. In his job he had seen many beings and he had decided that the SOUL was the truly the most unique feature to distinguish them.

Now while he might recognise some physical features from these three monsters, they were also slightly off, that he was feeling very confused. He focused on the tallest one first, who looked like an Error but the red bone tail that was curled around their arched feet was unusual. They also wore much more colourful clothing and had a blue metal chain around their waist, with no glitches visible.

Looking away he focused on the other two who looked similar in height. One kind of felt like a Creator but the many scars and left damaged socket was a bit of a change. It reminded him more of an Errors wounds than anything else.

The last one reminded him of a shattered Dream but it was the SOUL that confused him. Did this one have two SOULS?

Karma definitely liked the tall one's tail the best but he was unsure what to do now. They had been standing eerily still the whole time and their gaze had not left his form at all. He hugged his toy tighter and squeaked, as he soon found himself on his back, being held down by the shattered Dreams tentacle.

He then felt the familiar tug on his chest and clenched his jaw until the pain stopped, surprised no more cracking had occurred. He lay there shivering but when he looked up he saw his SOUL was out. He studied it thoroughly and looked over every part, before tentatively reaching out with his hand and letting it hover over it.

He was a tad surprised it wasn't more corrupted and he guessed if anyone looked at it and was feeling very generous, they could assume it was supposed to be an upside heart. He blankly watched as a tiny shard fell off, soon dissipating into the AntiVoid, feeling oddly numb about this fact.

He still wasn't sure if he just wanted to fade away, like his SOUL was currently doing, or continue going on in this weird life. He just felt so tired....

Karma probably should have checked on his SOUL earlier but he felt no desire to see just how damaged his core was. He knew he would live, as even now he could tell his role was refusing to let him go.

When his SOUL was much carefully put back in his chest, he shivered again, as could feel a lot of his energy drain away. Why was he so cold?

He tried to cover himself with his wings, in order to warm up and held his bear tighter, feeling it start to shake with familiar magic. He quickly put it in his inventory, worried what these monsters would do to it if they saw it. He hoped they left him alone now.

When he heard shifting he tried to curl tighter and whined when a bone tail easily parted his wings, before winding around his waist. He was soon lifted up and clung onto the tail, just wanting to go to sleep. What did they want from him now?

A golden goopy tentacle waved in front of him and he glared at it suspiciously, very tempted to bite it. He puffed out his wings in surprise, when it tapped his face, not expecting how quick it was. This did help to wake him up a bit and he stared at the owner of the tentacle, curious what having both apple SOULS in one vessel did to a being.

Karma did want to see more of the world, especially after meeting his brother, but he was hesitant if it was worth it. He never seemed to stay anywhere safe and he missed some of the beings he had met. He really did miss the Bittys..

He growled when the tentacle poked him yet again but this time he managed to bite it, before it could retract. He chirped at his success and was surprised it didn't really taste of anything. He however stiffened at the Creator looking monster laughed and he felt most wary of them out of the three.

"Ignore him, babybones. Let's get you comfier"

He was unsure why handing him to the shattered Dream look-alike would help but he did accept they were rather warm. He glared at the still laughing skeleton but was distracted as more tentacles swayed in front of him. It was strangely hypnotic..

" My name is Negative, baby apple. The laughing idiot is Scar and the other is Tail "

"What did you say?!"

"Guys please. Lets not start this again"

Karma held no interest in whatever this was and instead grabbed some food from his inventory, as he was strangely feeling a bit peckish. He hissed when a tentacle got close to his meal and quickly finished it, before leaning into Negative, hoping to drown out the noise.

He sighed sadly, wishing Oneiro or Pale were here instead of these strangers. He was pretty sure these were the monsters that Sol wanted him to meet and so far he wasn't impressed. He froze when a hand started to pat him but he was just too tired to care anymore, so let it be.

" Sleep, baby apple. We shall still be here when you wake up "

He hardly took that as a comfort but his body betrayed him and soon went limp in Negative's hold, with him soon feeling his conscious drift away.

-

Negative stared at the babybones in his arms, unsure how things had changed so quickly. When he had first sensed them, he was disgusted by the Positivity magic wafting off them. It didn't help that Scar mentioned feeling Destruction magic as well, adding to the potential danger they were about to encounter.

With how Scar hated Error types, they were expecting a trap, so were rightfully bewildered when they were faced with a being that looked like a child.

None of them let their guard down, as they had met many enemies who had powers that could easily trick the mind, so merely watched the tiny being with growing suspicion.

Negative struck first and made sure to pin them, not wanting them to have a chance to attack first. This still didn't help them know what was happening, as he was still unsure what they were. He therefore went for the easy option and pulled out their SOUL, knowing this part of a monster was much harder to conceal its true form.

He gasped when he took it out, at seeing fragments of what clearly used to be a whole monster SOUL. He had seen healthier SOULS in most Destroyers and watching a slither break off, just from being out in the open, was a tad horrifying.

Now that his anger cooled off, at believing a Positivity Guardian was nearby, he focused more on the little one's emotions. He didn't like the see-sawing emotion of negativity and positivity and started to push their SOUL back in, when he saw their hand claw closer to their fragile core.

He eyed the toy bear they were holding suspiciously, due to the magic he could feel building up and was somewhat relieved when they hid it away. It felt dangerous and he was more than happy to never be near it again.

The three of them stood there, as he drew back his tentacle, unsure where to go from here. They weren't the friendliest monsters but they had standards, even if they seemed far too few for some.

They were all the main survivors of their respective multiverse and mainly stayed together, visiting other places. They had, however never dealt with something like this before.

" Tail. You should grab them "

"...is that really a good idea?"

Negative could see where the other was coming from, as the other size was usually off putting enough for most, let alone to a babybones.

" They had positive feelings towards your tail and i doubt they want to be near me now "

Scar silently watched and got closer to the babybones, when they were brought to be in front of them. He easily spotted how tired they were and could see Tail looked frozen in indecision, on what to do next.

"They don't really seem aware, Negative"

Negative poked the child's skull with his tentacle, feeling his mouth twitch as their wings fluffed up in surprise. It did make their eyelight look less fuzzy but he had to repeat this action, when he saw them start to doze. Having his tentacle bitten was new and he let it go limp, unsure how much strength he could use against a child without hurting them.

He glared as Scar started to laugh, annoyed at how his work to calm them down was so easily swept away. At least Tail was the voice of reason, even if Negative floundered at being handed the child.

"Ignore him, babybones. Let's get you comfier"

He shifted them on his hip and was unimpressed how funny Scar was finding this whole thing.

" My name is Negative, baby apple. The laughing idiot is Scar and the other is Tail "

"What did you say?!"

"Guys please. Let's not start this again"

He knew Scar was just playing things up for their guest but it seemed it was hardly needed, as they soon started feeding themselves, defending their food from him like a starving animal.

With the way their SOUL looked, he wouldn't be shocked if they had to do this often. Did they even have a parental bond?

He hesitantly rubbed them on their skull in comfort, when he felt their tiredness and sadness close to overwhelming them.

" Sleep, baby apple. We shall still be here when you wake up "

Scar walked closer when he saw the babybones wings flop, looking over them in curiosity. He could tell they were wary of him which was a surprise. Usually just by standing next to Negative, others' focus would go on what they thought was the larger threat.

It was probably a Creator that left them like this but with all the Destruction magic he felt on them he wouldn't be shocked if it was a Destroyer.

God, he really hated Destroyers with a passion! Lifting his hand to his cracked socket, it was evidence enough of how untrustworthy they were.

Negative was unsure what to think of the child but narrowed his gaze when he spotted something gold in their scarf. Tugging the item out he glared at the revealed feather, before crushing it in his hand. Of course it was the annoyance, Sol. He despised them and their stupid tricks but they were just like a cockroach with the way they kept escaping him!

" I am going to kill him the next time we meet! We are not babysitters, dammit! "

Scar was almost amused by Sols audacity and jumped back as Negatives tentacles started to lash out in his anger. At least things were livening up, he had been getting a bit bored.
