Traveller paused as he came across new items in Karma's room as he cleaned their small place, a small smile lit his face.
Karma was such a precious adorable soul.. if prone to not looking after himself.
"Well, I missed him, I'll have to leave this here for him,"
He hummed, placing a rather interesting book on Judgement/Karma magic next to them and a bag of more cookies. He hoped his sibling was okay, he was very close to creating a shield that should give him at least ten to twenty minutes visiting time.
He wanted to have a *Talk* with Karmas Guardians, you know.. to make sure they knew how to treat Karma well.
*Meanwhile, several beings shivered in terror and had no idea why.*
Well.. if anyone pushed Karmas plush would activate, lets see how badly they did against an enraged Guardian Toy.
Traveller smirked and would have made anyone seeing it flee.
Daemons Multiverse
The white was everywhere. No matter where he turned the scenery never changed. Why was he here? Where was everyone? Why was he left here all alone? . The loneliness he felt grew and his mind wandered.
His thoughts always traced back to the source of his pain and one day he finally snapped. Looking at his SOUL he felt slight hesitation at what he was about to do, before he just ripped it into shreds.
The pain lasted for what felt like an eternity but when it ended, only numbness was left. He remembered thinking before that this would change things but now only blankness remained.
Time passed in the eerie place before he was suddenly taken to a new place with no warning. He had no clue how he ended up here, but he felt a burst of unusual emotion, when something wet splashed onto him.
Curiosity
He explored this new place and when he played with the coloured liquid, new emotions started to fill him. It took much experimentation before he finally understood what each colour meant. That is when he started to see what his magic could do. He could tell it had changed from before and was thrilled when he realised he could now create things.
His first creation was a simple flower that he had stared at in awe for hours but soon he wanted to do more. His creations started becoming much more complex before he started his biggest project yet. While happy at no longer being in the white, he could feel loneliness start to settle in, even when he started avoiding the darker paints.
He had many failed attempts before he finally created his first universe. He put a lot of care into each character but just as he was about to finish it, he stared at it in contemplation. Something was missing but it was only when he focused on the skeleton monsters that one of his emotions spiked.
Loneliness
Looking at every other monster and being, the emotions persisted before he looked at the SOULS inside each being, making him come up with an idea. What if he changed it so none of them would ever truly be alone? And hopefully stop others from repeating his mistake.
While he carefully altered the SOULS, to be able to survive outside the body, he let the final shape they took be up to each being. He grinned at all the shapes they took and it fuelled him to create even more. The number of AU's numbered the thousands but he stopped when he could see how densely packed they were becoming.
He was unsure what would happen if they touched but felt no urge to find out. He watched what was going on each AU and grinned when they started interacting with each other. He could no longer just watch, when he spotted the Emotion twins finally leave their AU.
He met the Positivity Guardian first and was thrilled at being able to speak to another monster. He thought all was going well until they asked him a question, he had completely forgotten about.
"I know this is rather...bold but is your Daemon ok?"
"Y-Yes! They a-are just a bit s-shy"
Thankfully the conversation topic changed but that made his thoughts start to spark. He had always thought he would be stuck with taking paints and enviously looking at others who were never truly alone.
He soon left and sat in the Doodle Sphere, looking at his paint vials in thought.
He started to test the way the paints interacted together and when he tried replicating what he had done with others, he was shocked he had succeeded. While the connection didn't feel the same as he had heard that others experienced, it was still a comfort from the constant empty feeling in his chest. When he saw they changed forms a name came to his mind.
Chroma
He shakily reached towards them and felt a laugh build up, at the warmth that filled him. Days passed watching his new partner and he observed that he still needed to provide his magic to them but now his emotions seemed to flow much easier then he was used to.
While not a true Daemon he was still in awe of what he had created.
Time passed and he made more friends in his multiverse and met some annoyances. It was so fun running around and interacting with so many beings. He thought he had found everything there was, until Dream got an odd message.
"Ink, I am sorry but i need to go"
"Noooo. I haven't shown you all the new things I made! It took so much effort to convince Error to not destroy this awesome place"
"I know. I was there but the message seems serious. Sans contacted me"
How interesting. Sans was usually more than happy to ignore the majority of them, in order to not have to deal with all the drama. What could be so serious? Leaning over he read the text, focusing on where they would have to get to.
"Why didn't you say so! Let's go!"
"INK! Do not drag me-"
"Sorry, can't hear you~"
He had no idea why others disliked his mode of travel but it was amusing seeing their reactions to it each time. As soon as they arrived at the Council of Sans, he snickered at how Dream and their Daemon collapsed on the ground. He waited for them to recover while looking around.
He hadn't seen much point in creating the Council but it had made it easier to inform others about any major changes that were occuring. It's a good thing Dream was so organised!
"Sorry for the wait. Ink was whining at having to leave his new AU so soon. Now who is having the issue?"
When did Dream manage to recover? He stayed back to see what was happening, not wanting to be mobbed by all the other AU's who 'needed' his attention. They were so annoying with all their nagging. Why couldn't they just do it themselves? He leaned against Chroma, getting comfortable for the most likely boring wait.
"It's baby bird over there. You can see why i called"
Huh, he had wondered why Gaster was here. He was pretty sure the other hated him for being the one to introduce the original AU to the rest. Probably hated his sons being so far away from him for so long.
When they stood up he stared at the tiny babybones, who was glaring at Dream with no visible Daemon. His first emotion was fear, followed by a feeling of hope.
.... Is he like me?....
When he calmed down he looked over them with much more intensity. He did not recognise them from his multiverse but they did remind him of a few monsters he had met in his travels, to other multiverses. While he loved this place, he enjoyed being able to blend in with others and not having to lie about Chroma being born with him. It sometimes got annoying having to pretend to understand what others felt with their own Daemons.
It was also useful in the early days to help his loneliness, before he had gotten to know the others well. It had been an excellent way for him to know what to avoid in his creations and what certain things meant. So many other Creators made the strangest mistakes....
"I-I see. I need Nightmare for this. Now, Karma? There is nothing to be worried about. This should be an easy fix"
He hadn't seen the other Guardian in a while but he always liked admiring how the twins Daemons complemented each other. It was odd how they had both agreed to eat the apples but he approved of how stable it made his multiverse, unlike some he had visited.
" What was so important that I had to come here, Dream? You know I can't leave the idiots alone for long. Like children the lot of them "
So grumpy! He made sure to hide further in the corner, not wanting to distract the two.
"Relax. We just need to coax them out. This will be quick"
They had had visitors from other multiverses visit before and all of them had their SOULS temporarily reflect, what was normal in this multiverse. He had never had to have one coaxed out before. He should really check out what the main reason Sans had called Dream over.
*CRACK*
The sound caused him to pale, due to how familiar it sounded. He was still plagued by the memories of his SOUL shattering and he doubted he would ever be lucky enough to forget it. He tried to breathe evenly, as his emotions swirled in distress while his magic tried to lash out.
"What now?...Do you need to try again?"
His skull snapped towards the babybones before he silently snarled at both twins. If they even tried he would end them, no matter how close he was to the lighter twin. There were few reasons that a SOUL refused to come out and most of them were rather dire. It was usually a last resort to keep it safe from the host itself, whose mindset was not conducive to their continued health.
Having Daemons was helpful in reducing the number of cases, as they could speak and call out for help, when their host would not. It was a feature he had been sure to add.
Seeing Nightmares' corruption start to leak out he tried to push back his emotions, in order to make it easier for them to control it. They were really unlucky to get that feature from eating the apples.
Groaning from Nightmare made him eye them closer, as he waited to see if he would need to take them somewhere else. The amount of goop flowing out of them was starting to alarm him, not to mention the stains that were being made on the floor.
"Are you two ok?"
" No. No we are not "
He stilled as he felt a change in the room, before watching as the twins started to lean into each other for support.
"Is that better?"
"N-Nightmare? I-I can't feel anything from t-them"
...how? That was chilling the way they shut off their emotions from the empaths. What had the child gone through?
His attention was caught when the other Sans alternatives started muttering to each other in fear. He stared at them in disbelief and was annoyed at how stupid some of them were. He didn't think he messed up in their creation...but free will could be so annoying....He was sure Error would be happy to help him sort out this issue permentaly.
He knew he had to step forward when some looked tempted to end the so-called 'unnatural' being in front of them. He was so happy that he rarely had to be near them.
"If that was true then the twins wouldn't be as affected as they are. This is not another Flowey situation"
Flowey was a bit of a mistake but he tried not to interfere with how others lived their lives too much. He wanted his creations to have all the experiences they could, even if it led to results such as this.
'Useless. It seems i will need to do everything myself'
He smirked when Chroma rushed towards the babybones as a Labrador, before shifting to be a tiger. He approved of the subtle intimidation and it also clearly showed that the young one was under his protection.
He could kind of understand some of the so-called 'taboos' other had decided to follow but Ink let his 'Daemon' do what they liked. He saw them more as a partner than a part that needed to be viciously protected. Being known as the Creator allowed him to get away with a multitude of things, which he took major advantage of.
He was pleased at how everyone had calmed from their violent thoughts but could see how tense the babybones was. Seeing that no one looked sure on what to do he quickly created a small item, hoping to distract them from all the attention focused on them.
He snorted when the small rock he offered the child was snatched out of his hand and went over to Dream, spotting that they had questions.
"I just thought about what a bird would like. it lowered the tension at least, so there is no need to lecture me"
Dream might think he rarely thought of his actions but they were wrong. He thought of everything but preferred to do what he enjoyed rather than keep worrying about what everyone else thought.
His title was more than just a job, it was his way of life and was another thing that separated him from the mortals. He saw no reason to worry about such small things, when he had to deal with much larger issues, such as protecting his multiverse from all threats. Only Error truly understood his view point and while they might not always get along, they were two halves of a whole.
When Gaster let out a gasp he smirked in amusement, knowing Chroma was doing this all on purpose. He nearly laughed at how they were jumping on the babybones, as if they were truly attacking them, while flashing their claws to the room.
He was so happy his partner had similar humour to himself, even if not many realised. He trailed behind Dream and listened in on the conversation between Gaster and them.
"Why do you keep looking away from, Karma?"
"They have an adverse reaction to my coloured eyelights"
Now he had to pipe up. This little mystery was getting so interesting.
"How odd. All the other Gasters with eyelights like yours are dead. It's kind of annoying after the amount of work i put into them"
There was no way he was admitting where the other had come from. He enjoyed having some secrets from the others and knew if they knew the truth, his relaxation time would be severely limited. He needed to have the choice to get away, otherwise he was likely to collapse this whole place in a fit of anger. Others could be so exhausting to deal with.
"Ink, have some tact! Gaster, why don't you just ask them?"
"I would love to but Karma's powers make it rather hard to contain them"
Now he had to know more! He shuffled closer to the Karma, feeling his eye shapes flicker in his excitement.
"...Ink. Do not go and bug the ne-"
Ink only managed to get a few feet away from Karma before they turned to him and started hissing. He looked at Chroma in betrayal when they joined in, looking at him in pure mischief.
They were so mean to him!
