Chapter 22- (Blueberror Multiverse)

Ink was a very stressed Creator. He had a plan to make the latest problem not be an issue

——-

Blueberror Multiverse

Inks life seemed to be never ending issues, that he solved to most monsters' dissatisfaction. He was pleased when he met Dream, as he enjoyed having a friend who didn't expect him to be perfect. They helped him fight against the Destroyer and even the Bad Sans. Looking after the multiverse was hard work and he despaired at never being able to catch a break.

He sometimes wished he had no SOUL, as he was sure it would make the pressure less stifling upon him. The routine never changed till he heard of a new monster joining the Omega Timeline. He loved how Core Frisk had helped so many he had failed and wanted to greet the newcomer.

The first time he saw them he had to push down his instinctive reaction to attack. The black bones and error signs floating around made them look too much like the Destroyer. Hearing their story made him furious with Error. Had he been going too easy on the other? He would find out what happened the next fight that happened.

He had come alone when he felt Error destroying and made sure his anger was fully known. He had expected the other to be proud at what they had done, but he only saw remorse at the condition Blue had ended up in, followed by happiness that they had managed to escape. Error had said it had been an accident and he had never realised he had left them alone for so long.

He was unsure of the sincerity but it did give him an idea. The next fight he made sure to bring Dream, to confirm what he was told. Apparently the other was being truthful in his claims. This is when he enacted his plan. He slowly started to bring up the times Error had gone too far and added this to the long list of crimes.

This was visibly weighing heavily on Error and he used it to have them talk about coming to an understanding. They may never like each other but a quieter life was worth going through this effort. He had even managed to get them to talk to the Bad Sans about a truce.

He was pleased his plans came to fruition and life did slow down as he wished. He was still called out to sort many monsters problems and some days he wondered why he even created so many AU's.

He started to become closer to Error's latest victim and enjoyed how vibrant they were, even after what they had experienced. He wasn't ignorant to the anger in their eyelights when Error was brought up, but he did not expect miracles to occur.

One day while he was hanging out with Dream, he was annoyed when a staticy portal opened up in his living room. He was ready to berate the Destroyer when he noticed Fresh being dragged along.

" Tell them what you did, stupid parasite. Should have ended you years ago ".

Why was Error so angry? Not much affected them these days and they had seemed calmer, with having to destroy less.

"Heya, homies. I accidently lost a monster in the Antivoid. Very unrad of me".

.....he wasn't sure when his body moved but Dream had grabbed him before he attacked the two monsters.

"Explain".

He demanded answers and he wasn't allowing anything to be left out. He listened in silence but felt his eye shapes stay on target signs. What idiot left a babybones unattended? The description didn't match any of his created AU's but he knew other multiverses existed. When it got too much he sometimes visited them, in order to get a break from his life.

"Dream, contact the Council and send out alerts. See if any have noticed a missing babybones. I'll talk to Blueberror".

He would usally relish in the flinch Error gave but he would not waste his time. He needed to find them soon. Who knew how long they had actually been gone. He hated to be the bearer of bad news but he would rather his friend heard it from him. He spotted them in the Omega Timeline and waved them over.

"Error contacted me. Fresh brought a monster into the Antivoid and lost them. Can you look, Blueberror?".

He watched multiple emotions fight for dominance on the others skull and waited for them to process what he said.

" Ok. I'll search around. You should check some AU's. They might have gotten out "

He couldn't help the pity he felt for the other showing on his skull. This must be their hell come to life again. He hoped to find the babybones but he had low expectations.

The months went by and he still saw no sign of the missing babybones. When he received a message from Core Frisk he was in disbelief at what he heard. Opening a portal he grabbed Dream and jumped through to Blueberror. Spotting him he saw them holding a small monster and ran over.

"Blueberror! How do they look? Any damage? Do you need any help?".

A whimper from the babybones made him silence his questions. He saw that they were hiding and knew the detrimental effects the Antivoid could cause. He made a blanket and threw it over the babybones. This should help them deal with being in the real world again. He made sure to whisper his next question.

"Sorry. Can we CHECK you, little one?".

The longer the silence went on the more worried he became. What had the Antivoid done to them? He did not see too many physical changes when he first spotted them but mental ones were another thing. He was unsure where to go from here but thankfully his friend helped him.

"Do it Ink. We need to know".

He was quick in his CHECK. He read all the information but focused mainly on their HOPE. How was it so low? Blueberror had been in that white hell longer and had never gotten as bad.

"Feed them some magic. Their HOPE is dangerously low. We were lucky you got to them in time".

He watched as magic was fed and held his arms out to grab the small bundle. What he read worried him and he was unsure what to do. Pain distracted him causing him to cry out, making him look at the blanket in disbelief.

"They bit me!".

He was glad the mood seemed to get less heavy, as Dream started to laugh. He even saw Blueberror finally crack a smile. He observed as Dream lifted the blanket and truly saw the damage.

"They need rest. Let's take them home".

He was happy to follow that idea and invited the two to follow him. He headed straight for the Doodle Sphere, moving toward their shared home. Walking upstairs to the spare bedroom he placed the bundle on the bed. Making sure the curtains were drawn, he removed the blanket and looked at them.

Carefully he felt their wings and was surprised how strong the feathers felt. That was one less thing to worry about. He was sure a few high healing meals would get them healed up in no time.

He stood still watching them, making sure they were still alive, before leaving to get some deserved rest. This had been so stressful to deal with but he managed to get closer to the opposing side. They seemed less tense when the Star sans met them now.

The next day he made sure to ask Dream to add their magic to the food he prepared. It didn't hurt to make it as potent as possible. He heard shuffling from upstairs and headed towards the babybones.

Karma was an interesting choice in name and he was curious what exactly their powers entailed. Opening the door he saw them lying awake on the bed.

"Morning Karma! Breakfast is ready, so come down whenever you want".

He made sure to leave soon after. No need to make them uncomfortable being around a stranger. He waited downstairs, with Dream placing the last bits of food on the table. He had been sure to make a variety, as he had no idea what their usual diet consisted of. He saw movement out the corner of his sockets but made sure to not stare.

He sat down with them and watched Dream stare at the odd magic attached to them. He hadn't wanted to mess with it while they were asleep but if Dream was that wary of it he would need to deal with it today. He was unsure why they looked at the food as if it would attck but who knew what other multiverses were like.

"Why am I here?".

He looked directly at them and kept his shock hidden. Their voice sounded normal, with no glitching heard like in others. Regular monsters rarely survived the Antivoid and Blueberror had to be the luckiest being alive for surviving. The CHECK was making more sense as he interacted with this odd monster.

"You were saved from the Antivoid. You don't look as bad as I expected. Well done for surviving!".

"INK. Apologies for his rudeness. We want to help you recover from that...experience. My name is Dream and that is Ink".

He thought he was being quite positive about it. The lack of proper socialisation most of his life sometimes made him sound more insensitive then he meant.

"Thank you for your...kind actions. I was perfectly content there, so if one of you could drop me off in the Antivoid I would appreciate it".

.....oh no. This was much worse then he though. Who likes the Antivoid?! He was pretty sure even Error hated it but lived there to get away from everyone else.

"Ink. Can I talk to you in the other room for a second? Help yourself to food while we are gone, Vela".

Dream was not looking happy with him. What had he done now? Walking to the other room he waited for a scolding.

"What did you see in their CHECK. Don't lie. This is much worse then you told me last night. What else are you hiding?".

He hadn't wanted to worry anyone and had skirted around how low the others HOPE actually was. He never knew you could have below 1 Hp but it seemed the multiverse loved giving him more horrifying facts to learn. He would have to give the more obvious details but skipping out on the more problematic issues.

"They are from another multiverse and are the child of Geno and Reaper. Karma isn't really...happy. They are more going through the motions. I have a plan to help but i need your support. I can't do it alone".

He squished the guilt building when he saw Dreams fervent agreement. He would not admit how scared he was of the parent bonds Karma had made. Destroyers were rarely rational beings but add in another Creator.... he could see it getting much worse if they ever came for their child. He had never thought of having kids himself but knew his hectic lifestyle would be hell on any child he had.

"Karma is gone. I can't feel him anywhere nearby".

How was a babybones causing such large issues? It hadn't even been a day?! He searched for hours before calling Blueberror for help.

A week passed and his SOUL was ready to break in frustration. He would have to ask Error for help again. While Blueberror was quite good with Codes, Error had the advantage of literally being made for the role. He knew all that there was about Coding which could help track Karma more easily.

He couldn't ask his friend to go to Error, so opened a portal to the Antivoid. He shivered at the dead feeling he got from being here

"Hey Error. Have you see-. Oh. Good thing I checked here. By the way, can I borrow some magical thread?".

His smile felt forced on at seeing the babybones here. He knew only Error could easily get here, so was annoyed they had just taken the child without asking. His anger rose at seeing Blueberror here as well. For the other to willingly come to Error meant they were more stressed about this situation then he first thought.

" S-sure Ink. No p-problem ".

He could see Error realising he had screwed up. The other monster may not fully understand how time worked but they knew how it wasn't the same for everyone else. He would need to 'chat' with Error about this later. Grabbing Karma he saw the pile of chocolate wrappers on the ground.

He had noticed that none of the food had been touched in the kitchen, when he went searching for Karma. He would see if they asked for other food later. He knew Error only ate this type of chocolate as it had the gentlest magic, that didn't react badly with his glitching body.

He would get more later, in case it was a permanent issue from the Antivoid. Jumping into his inky portal he waved goodby to Blueberror and arrived in the kitchen. He placed the babybones on the kitchen chair and lowered himself down in front of them. It seems Error had done nothing damaging but he would look them over more later.

First, he needed to get rid of the trinket. Between looking for Karma, he had thoughts of ways to destroy the object efficiently. His Creation magic would help contain any reactions that could harm Karma, while Error's Destructive magic was perfect to get rid of it. He smiled when he saw it melt harmlessly on the floor.

He used his blue magic to pick up the item he had carefully made. Wrapping it around them he was pleased at the purr they released. It seemed his plan would work even better than he thought. When he saw them try to take it off he swiftly grabbed their hands.

"Don't take this off, ok? It will help you. Just trust me".

This was crucial for what he needed and was happy when they nodded in agreement. Now he would need to sort the rest of his tasks, before things could go back to normal.

-

He told Blueberror and Dream to stay away, at least for a month. He lied saying the babybones was feeling overwhelmed and having only one foreign magic signature near him would help. They easily believed him and then he started the arduous task of nullifying the magic in the house. He made sure not even his magic was detectable, so the babybones would only have the scarfs magic on him.

When Dream came over, he cursed at seeing their aura spread . He knew the other didn't always mean too but it would take so much more work to sort this out. He kept everyone away from Karma and even Error agreed to only drop off more of the chocolate and leave.

The chocolate was very successful for healing and he saw a shine to their bones that had been missing when they first met. The feathers' colours sadly didn't recover but he knew it could have been much worse. It was cute how they ate similar to Error, nearly stuffing the whole bar in their mouth in one go. Thankfully they took off the wrapper beforehand as he was unsure they would be able to digest it.

The other surprise visitor caused him so much stress. He had even been close to dusting the parasite, when Karma showed him the new toys in his room. He had the other change clothes again and froze at the mark on their chest.

It looked like a slash mark and he feared he knew what it was from. This made him even more determined to get them to a safer place. He was a bit sad he couldn't make them new things to play with but it would take too long to make sure his magic wasn't visible.

He had at one point been tempted to try and send them back to their birth multiverse but their state and scars quickly wiped that plan out. He had even tested the bonds when Karma fell asleep and was terrified at how fragile they were. The Antivoid must have done worse than he could see and he knew he didn't have long before they snapped.

The more he saw the more convinced what he was doing was for the best. He saw how his friend reacted to Karma being taken by Error, who knew how they would react to other incidents. The feather he had destroyed didn't help his stress levels. He had met that crazy 'Dream' once and that had been enough. No child should be raised by that lunatic and he would make sure to distract them if they ever managed to come here. It was the least he could do.

Ink: I'm a bit stressed. Good thing nothing could make it worse

Karma: *appears*
