Oneiro might have allowed Karma to go exploring but that didnt mean he wasnt watching over them as well...just in case~

Between Omniverses

Oneiro sighed as his child left, smoothly opening a portal to observe them. He knew some independence was good for them but he felt like they were pushing themselves far too much and too quickly. He didn't expect them to 'get over' what they had been though, considering he himself was still seething at what had happened.

At least Nix would be with them and the multiverse they chose might look bleak but it was rather calm. It only had a small 'quirk' but he felt that would only work out for his child, in the long run.

It was rather fascinating how in the 'Curse' multiverse that none of the Balancers could touch mortals, without ill effects. It surprisingly helped to make the place calmer, the Balancers actually wanting to get along with each other, smartly not wanting to alienate the few beings who could be around them safely.

There were still so many crazy rumours in that multiverse though, due to such a small 'quirk'. Calling the Balancers 'cursed' or his personal favourite 'Fey', was so very amusing.

What the more simple minded came up with, could be endlessly entertaining.~

He sighed when he focused back on his portal, watching how overexcited the Dream variant got when Karma accidently bumped into them. He had contacted the Balancers of that place that that his child would be visiting, how one of them forgot already was baffling.

Although, this Dream didn't look like the smartest one in the bunch..

He smiled when he saw Nix lead Karma to a portal, getting his child away from the crowded street. His child didn't need to know about the conversation he had with their familiar, which had been an odd experience but Nix could be surprisingly expressive with no words.

Their judgemental look had been rather impressive but they had reluctantly agreed not to tell his child how much he was watching, knowing it was to help Karma in the end.

He was tempted to go and read a book but paused when he felt the bond with Karma pulse.

Curse Multiverse

He instantly teleported to his child at sensing their high distress, automatically kicking the Nightmare away, only remembering at the least minute to not kill them. He still needed them, even if they were being far too overzealous.

" What , are you doing?~"

"I w-was going to take them out of the collapsing AU"

Oneiro checked over his unconscious child, nuzzling them when they let out a whine. Nix let out a truly fearsome hiss towards the corrupted Nightmare, Oneiro impressed at the flinch it caused but he supposed it was understandable. He had seen the damage their claws could do, as could be attested to the many pillows that were shredded whenever Karma was upset.

"I told you all that he could survive the AntiVoid. Does no one remember what I said?~"

He muttered darkly at the sheer idiocy he was surrounded by. He had planned long ago to take his child to this multiverse, having made sure it would be safe for them to be in but with them wanting to go by their own, a few changes in plans were needed.

He stared at the stuttering monster, sighing at being stuck with idiots.

"...Just open a portal to your home. I will deal with the rest~"

Oneiro forgot how exhausting it was dealing with incompetence and thought Traveller had spoiled him with their competence. Rubbing his face to stave off a headache he stepped through the portal, deciding the room was rather nice. Placing his child on the lavish bed, he made sure to feed them some of his magic, making sure they were physically ok.

They were being so brave doing this by themselves..but he would still be stacking the odds in their favour.

Between Omniverses

Oneiro was growing worried, occasionally watching his child through a portal. They were becoming rather despondent and he was close to cancelling the whole thing, if it wasn't for Nix giving him a look for even considering it. He pouted at his childs familiar, getting a tail smacked in his face whenever he stayed too long.

"Alright, alright I'm leaving. You will look after him im sure~"

He snorted at the: 'Of course I will, who do you take me for' look they gave him, truly marvelling at how easily they could get their point across.

He let out a true smile when he saw his child finally start to open up over the next few weeks, reluctantly deciding that perhaps Nightmare wasn't totally useless.

He hummed as his phone buzzed, taking it out to see that his brother was texting him again. They had been contacting him a lot lately and while he enjoyed it, they said such bizarre things.

Why would he know why 'all their clothes were suddenly bright pink' or why their 'favourite cigarette brands were no longer being sold'?

He didn't even have a moment to ask if they had a mate, as they constantly went off one tangent to another. He was getting worried for them, especially when he once called and cried the word 'glitter' before laughing hysterically. He was secretly amused how far Traveller was taking things.

...He should probably visit them soon though, hoping their strays hadn't gotten out of hand again.

The next few weeks were rather peaceful, enjoying how quiet it was and only occasionally checking up on his child to make sure they were ok. He wanted them to enjoy their trip, not go back into their shell again after having had to deal with the thing.

He rather enjoyed talking to the Creator and Destroyer of the 'Curse' multiverse, finding them the more tolerable of the bunch...but he should have known how unpredictable they could be.

He had been wary when he heard of the little 'get together' that Nightmare had planned and he hated that he was right. He again felt another desperate tugging on the bond, unsure if Karma even realised they were doing but he still reacted.

Curse Multiverse

He frowned at spotting his terrified child curled up in the corner, alarmed they hadn't sensed him at all. He was rather impressed by the damage their magic had done to the room though and used his own to gently soothe their magic, humming happily when he saw it was working. It should only take a few minutes to help calm them down, giving him plenty of time to have a nice friendly chat with a few monsters.

Nix gave him a look to 'fix things now!', smirking in acknowledgement. They were such a bossy little thing but they suited his child perfectly. Karma truly needed someone like this by their side, who was not afraid to do what was needed.

He casually tapped his foot, multiple portals suddenly forming under the monsters in the room, apart from his two targets.

Once he was done he stalked towards Nightmare, grabbing the back of Dreams shirt when they tried to leave.

"Not you. You are staying as well. You still have your uses~"

Oneiro was always proud at the fear he could cause by simply stepping into a room but right now he didn't appreciate how it was making the conversation harder...well, 'conversation' might be too strong a word, considering only he was the one talking in coherent sentences while the twins stuttered utter nonsense at him.

He was getting a headache and could feel his time was running out, sensing his child was close to calming down. He needed to leave before they realised he was ever here.

"Look. I can see you got excited but this was far too many people to introduce to my kid~"

"I t-thought it w-would be fine! It was only-"

"-Ink is u-usually better t-than this. I am so sorr-"

He gave a heavy look of disappointment to the two, feeling like he was dealing with children at this point. Did he need to give them a step by step instruction on how to now overwhelm his child? They were bloody empaths! Why was this so hard for them to understand?!

He sighed as his phone buzzed, already knowing it was going to be his brother again. Giving a warning look to the two to not screw around, he answered the phone while creating a portal.

The twins only heard the tail end of the conversation, before Oeniro fully disappeared.

"-no, brother. I do not know where all your right shoes have gone....I haven't seen you in months! How would I know where they all are?!~"

Between Ominverses

Oneiro cooed, taking pictures with his phone and sending them to Traveller, so very proud of his child. They were learning so much and the Reaper in this multiverse was actually useful for once!

The months they had spent away were actually going well and he smiled at the happy squeal they gave when they finally managed a new trick.

Although, he now had to think of where they would go next, assuming they still wouldn't want him near..but that didnt mean he couldn't get other monsters to tag along with them!

He mentally went through the list of monsters he knew, dismissing the majority of them due to their questionable 'childcare' skills.

..he could get Nova but they were still in 'time out' and he had zero urge to change that anytime soon. Pale was a good option but he still needed someone else, someone who could always be by his child's side and not have to go off to 'eat' every so often.

He smirked widely when he thought of the perfect candidate, hoping that 404 hadn't killed them for some reason or another. Even he was unable to understand how their mind used to work, their insanity even far too much for him to deal with.

He did a quick check on his child, seeing he had plenty of time to go and gather the future babysitters.

Curse Multiverse

Oneiro attentively listened to his child, amused at how tense the Guardians were in the background, as if afraid he was suddenly going to turn his ire towards them. They were acting like naughty school children, afraid to get told off by the principal!

He knew this multiverse would suit his child well and with how helpful all the Balancers were, it only made things go so much smoother. They had all been so eager to help and going by his child's vibrant emotions, he would say they did an adequate job.

"I'm glad you had fun, little raven. I can see how eager you are to explore more but i have a surprise for you~"

"What is it?"

Their chirp and childish excitement was so very adorable, making him just want to squeeze them tight and never let them go!

He quickly shook off that thought and opened a portal before he could act on his impulse, Pale soon stepping through along with one of Nova's pets . He might have a few issues with Nova but they did find some useful specimens.

"Pale!...X?! What are you both doing here?"

"They missed you and wanted to see you of course~"

Still, they were strangely rather loyal to his child and he grinned at the soft look on Xs' face when looking at Karma. He had definitely chosen well.~

Karma: Im going to go explore by myself and have fun!

Oneiro: *Already has an elaborate plan, to ensure Karma has the best time* Of course you are, little raven~

Ordeal: *Close to a breakdown* What is happening to me? Why is my luck suddenly so terrible?!

Traveller: *Smug at how his pranks are coming along* There is more of that to come~

Oneiro: *Smiling sadistically, pleased they are still alive* Hello, X. Fancy meeting you here~

X: *Shivering in dread and close to tears, at seeing them again* Why are you here?! How?!

Oneiro: *Already dragging them through a portal, ignoring any protest* Time for babysitting duties again!~
