Chapter- 116 (Forced Gods Multiverse)
Oneiro has been looking for his missing child for months but finds a whole new problem when he finally finds them
———-
Chaos Couple Multiverse
Oneiro had been searching for months for his child, alarmed when they had not been in their room. He had left for a minute at most and was a tad worried where Pale had gone too, knowing they would have never left Karma voluntarily. The dust on the ground had only raised his fear.
He had tried their bond straight away, scowling as it was blocked by something. This did seem like it had been planned, as he did not hear Karma call for him at all. Even the bed looked like his child merely climbed out and he wasn't able to sense any foreign magic.
When his new 'strays' had come in the room he had flared his magic, eyeing them in suspicion but not able to sense any emotions apart from confusion from them. He bared his teeth in annoyance before leaving, not sticking around for his new 'family'. He needed to find his child, already dreading what they had gotten into now.
?? Multiverses
Days turned into weeks but when months passed his patience was close to snapping. Still no sign of Pale and nothing on his child, Oneiro could feel his LOVE begging to come out again but he resisted. He needed his mind sharp for this.
Of course he didn't resist all his urges. The trail of dust he left behind was clear enough on that. Some monsters were just too slow in answering his questions.
His journey felt like it lasted years and he grew suspicious he was being led somewhere, as he felt an odd magic in the air. He stopped at the edge of a multiverse where he felt the magic originate from, grimacing at feeling a Deity's presence. It took him far too long to recognise them but when he did he was very tempted to run the opposite direction as fast as he could.
Many knew FATE but he thought that CHAOS was so much worse. They made little sense and what they found 'entertaining' could be rather painful for the recipient...but at the same time this was his best clue to where his child was. With a shaky breath he stepped in, shivering at the amused feeling in the air that nearly overwhelmed him.
He really hated Deity's.
Forced Gods Multiverse
Now, Oneiro knew Deity's could be rather possessive of what they considered theirs, so was feeling rather on edge as to why he had been led here.
" Who are you? "
"None of your business~"
Oneiro was not interested in whatever this Error they had to say, growling when they teleported in front of him. He was far too on edge to deal with anyone right now.
" Chill out. It was just a question. Why so uptight? You are worse than Nightmare.. "
Oneiro tensed at the comparison, coldly looking down at the other Destroyer.
" Do you want a fight? I'm up for it "
"A fight? That is far too simple for what i'm going to do to you ~"
He prepared to dust this monster, hoping to relieve some stress, jumping back when a row of ink bones stabbed the ground where he had been standing. He scowled at the most likely Creator, it getting more severe when he sensed they were soulless. They could be such a pain to deal with.
"Mono! This is no time to play. Have you forgotten that Karma is waiting for you?"
Oneiro twitched at the name, zeroing in on the soulless monster, all previous worries about Deity's being swept away. He prowled towards them, smirk widening at a possible clue.
He was pleased how little it took for them to speak, with them seeming almost eager to impart all they knew, which did raise his wariness but at this point he was desperate. He greedily took it all in but froze when he heard that his possible child often mentioned a 'dad'.
Now, he knew his child and the probability of them instantly accepting a random monster as a parent was rather low ...at this point he was hoping it was Pale and this was a massive misunderstanding, but did not feel he was that lucky.
Apart from 'big brother' no one else had gained much trust from his little raven. At the moment he would have been thrilled if he could find Traveller right now but they were even more elusive than his child!
"Take me to them now~"
" That doesn't sound like a good idea. WAIT! Let me finish first! Look, i'm going to see them now but you should not be visible "
Oneiro was puzzled about what they could mean but reluctantly agreed, even if he was planning to do what he wanted in the end.
He followed a wary Mono through a staticky portal, impressed they weren't a total idiot, with how tense they were around him and came to a large forested AU.
" Stand over there and try not to move too much. Their 'dad' is very observant "
Oneiro wanted to snarl at the order but soon a portal opened with his child running out. He wanted to go forward but froze at the monster that came through, feeling himself pale in dread. Why did it have to be them?!
"Have fun, little raven"
"Bye dad!"
Oneiros' hands dug into the tree, trying to stop himself from ripping off the hand of the monster that was touching his child. He might be powerful but even he was wary of this 'monster' and what they could do. The question was what were they doing with Karma? Last he heard they were still trying to recreate their AU.
He could see why he was told to not interact with his child now. While thrilled he had found them he now had the issue of how to deal with this new situation. He didn't dare get closer, even when he sensed they had left, having a feeling they kept a rather close watch over Karma. He didn't want to tip them off yet~.

Forced Gods Multiverse
Oneiro thought he was familiar with torture, afterall the apples from mother hadn't been the most pleasant things to eat, but watching his child be near them was giving him a new appreaction of the word. He had obsessively watched over them, trying to see what could have caused this but he had been constantly blocked by the Creator and Destroyer of this multiverse.
He could appreciate their points but it was still painful to watch.
It was horrifying the way his child whined in pain, whenever a nickname was given to them. Colour had thankfully warned him of this, or he might have blown his cover when the Negativity Guardian of this place called them 'little star'. The dazed almost lost expression on Karams features, which quickly gave way to confusion was painful to watch.
It sadly wasn't a fluke either. He knew his child was adorable but now it seemed to be working against them, considering the number of nicknames that were being given to them. It was so bad one day that he watched as Karma just sat there, staring in the distance with a blank expression, before it was wiped away when their 'dad' appeared.
It was also odd how they reacted to any mention of 'travelling' no matter how inane. When Colour had casually mentioned that Karmas wing pattern reminded them of a constellation, usually used for travellers he saw his child freeze, not responding for the rest of the day but the following day they acted like nothing had happened!
It only got worse when he one day saw his child suddenly collapse, after doing something with their scythe. Their screams still echoed in his mind even when they were taken away.
The temptation to dust the monsters, who his child had somehow helped was strong but he still held onto his logical side..for now. It was being tested as weeks went by with no visit from Karma no matter the AU he searched. The Creator here was useless as was their counterpart, as they just told him to wait.
He had only been waiting! Surely there had to be more he could do?!
Currently he was pacing in an AU, having been told to come by his two newest irritants. He had been here for hours, unsure what was about to happen. When he heard a portal form he whipped his skull to it, baring his teeth as the thing came out with his child.
"Not so fast. They aren't going anywhere"
He stood still only by immense self restraint, watching in intensity as his child got closer. He took an intentional step towards them, wincing as they shuffled back in fear towards them .
He glared at Colour, demanding they do something before he delivered on his promise. He clenched his hand in warning, his magic waiting to eagerly obey him.
"Karma. Have you met our friend before?"
He twitched at what he was referred to but if it got Karma to come closer he would claim them as family! At this point he would claim a rock as his dearest friend, if it just got his child to him.
"He is really nice. I bet he will let you touch his wings if you ask?"
That made him narrow his sockets at the Creator, suspicious how they knew what his child liked but more than willing to go along with it. He was sure he would have plenty of time to question them later.
"The choice is yours, little raven"
He growled as they talked to his child with his nickname. The possessive glint in the 'White Demons' eyelight only made him want to attack them even more but he paused, hunching as he sensed his child's fear.
"He won't hurt you, he is just very noisy..kind of like Colour"
"Hey!"
" You know I can stop anyone easily. You have seen me fight "
Oneiro seriously wished he could dust a monster with his gaze alone but decided to forgo that, as he could clearly see that the two idiots talking was working. He carefully got closer, trying to ignore the blue and white eyelights following his every move and crouched lower, not wishing to scare his child further.
He made sure to keep his smile, even when Karma pulled the detestable monster with them.
"..I'm Karma. What's your name?"
"It's Oneiro.~" Now that he was closer he noticed a rather large change in their appearance. Their eyelight was no longer the white he was used to but a rather deep blue. When he mentioned his name he saw it flicker before brightly flashing and staying blue, as if taunting him.
"..Oneiro? That's a pretty name"
"Thank you. I like your name too~"
He just managed to avoid any nickname, having seen the alarming reaction that caused his child before. What had they done to Karma? When he spotted his child glancing at his wings he fluffed them up, to make them more enticing and lowered them down. He shook them at Karma, as if encouraging them to get closer. When a small hand hesitantly reached he pushed his wing closer, bittersweetly reminded of the first time his child had done this.
While they touched his feathers he looked them over, frowning at what he saw. Their bones looked chalky and he winced at the dust that was falling off them and staining their clothes.
"They are so shiny..dad? Do you think I can get my wings to look like this?"
Oneiro shuddered as the smug monster spoke, trying to ignore the sharp blue and white gaze still focused on him.
"Of course you can, little crow. Once you get better you will have the best wings''
Oneiro was puzzled why Karma was so compliant but noticed something black around their neck, just as their scarf dipped. Using his wings as a distraction he carefully pulled down their scarf, blanching at what he saw.
"Mr Oneiro? Are you ok?"
He softened his expression, still eyeing the thing on his child's neck in disgust. He brushed his finger against it, frowning as he felt a mix of magic in it. It had the things magic in it but surely this alone wouldn't affect Karmas so much, as his child wasn't a weak monster. So who else could...CHAOS. Of course they would find this amusing.
His child attracted far too much attention for his liking..
"Of course. I am curious though. Have you seen your brother recently?~"
He spotted the flinch before they shook their skull and mumbled they didn't have a brother, making him feel some hope that it wasn't too late. He tapped the cookie pin on their scarf, grabbing their attention. He spoke softly, as if trying to soothe a scared animal.
"Who got you this?~"
" Traveller "
Karma flinched back as soon as an unknown name came out of his mouth, warily looking at Mr Oneiro, glad when his dad picked him up so they could leave. He didn't want to be here anymore, that new monster was weird . His dad turned out to be right after all, they really weren't his friends. He really thought he could trust them..
"It's ok, little one. I'm sorry you had to learn it like this...would you like me to take the pin? It could be causing you issues? Who knows what Oneiro has done to it"
Karma felt confused by the tone his dad used but still reached for his pin and pulled it off, pausing before he put it in his dads hand. He felt a twinge in his SOUL at the action but he ignored it, deciding to trust them.
Afterall, Error!404 had always been his dad and cared for him, so why shouldn't he trust them?
"It's ok, little one. I'll protect you"
