Karma visits a cool AU and one that he wished to never be near again. At least his dad is with him

Karma was having a great time! He might have been upset to leave his new friend but his dad had given him a cool coat. It was pure white and really long. That wasn't the best thing about it though. It had fluff around the neck area and the bottom. It was so soft and it was even better to nap one.

He was currently running around, enjoying how his new coat flared around him when his dad suddenly grabbed him, making him chirp in protest.

"I'm sorry for interrupting your game but i planned for us to go soon~"

Karma stopped struggling and looked at his dad in excitement. Another trip!

"Yes yes but we do need to do a little thing before we go. I need you to summon Blasty for me~"

Karma was confused but more than happy to summon his best friend. He easily did so, still resting in his dads arms, chirping in greeting.

Blasty did the usual chuff before stilling and growling in confusion, when they looked around.

"Dad wanted to see you again. Let me tell you about my new friend. We did so much!"

Karma happily regaled Blasty with his news, a bit worried how they were less vocal than usual. They probably didn't like the AntiVoid, so he made sure to quickly finish his story before sending them back.

"Just as impressive as usual, little raven~"

Karma preened at the praise, even if he was unsure what exactly it was for.

Remembrance AU

Karma liked this new AU. Something about this place was familiar, almost comforting to his senses. Even just standing here, it felt like the magic of this place was greeting him, encouraging him to stay as long as he wanted.

He might have gotten a tad distracted by the magic and wondered further than he should have, which he only realised when a stranger's voice shouted at him.

"Kid! Hey kid! Wait up"

He spun around, surprised to see a Sans variant coming towards him. He couldn't feel any strong magic from them but he scowled in suspicion as they stopped in front of him. He growled when they took a step forward, watching warily as they put their hands up in surrender.

"Whoa! No need for that. I just wanted a chat"

He shifted, trying to look for his dad but he couldn't seem to feel their SOUL anywhere nearby. He really had been distracted by the magic here..

"Ok..but dont come closer!"

"Fine with me"

He warily eyed them as he was led to an open space, instantly cataloguing the many exits he could escape from if the need arose. He had no desire to start the conversation, so waited for them to speak which they thankfully soon did. He was getting a tad tense from the silence.

"How long have you known you were reincarnated?"

Karma snapped his skull to the Sans, baffled why they were asking this or how they even knew. No one else had called him out on it and he was feeling this was perhaps a trap.

"Sorry! That was way more blunt then i wanted it to come out..i knew i should have let someone else do this"

He cautiously waited for the Sans to speak again and listened as they explained how certain monsters in this AU tended to 'reincarnate' for a better phrase. Karma had initially been excited at finding out that there were others like him but that soon turned to disappointment, when he heard it was likely restricted to this AU.

...He guessed it was still cool and listened in fascination as the Sans, who went by Sen, talked of their many lives. He spread his magic, intrigued at how it would react to a SOUL which had gone through the cycle of life and death, multiple times.

Now that he knew of their status, he could sense the slight discrepancies from normal SOULS, which was rather fascinating. The omniverse really was fun to explore.

"What about you?"

"Hmm?"

"You never answered my question. How long have you known?..Is this your second life?"

Karma thought deeply about the question but decided to be honest, not seeing any harm.

"Since I was born really and...I lost count. I saw no point in keeping track, once it went over a hundred"

Karma was startled when Sen suddenly started choking, looking at them in worry.

"Are you ok?"

"F-Fine. Just swallowed wrong..do you mind going back to tha-"

"KARMA!~"

Karma spun around at the noise and spotted his dad running towards them. They swept him up into their arms as soon as they reached him, checking over him with a strange intensity.

"Hey dad. Sorry for getting lost..i think i made a new friend"

"Oh. Do tell?~"

Dad had many questions for him, once he finished his tale. He tried to brush over the reincarnation part, but his dad was very persistent, so he reluctantly admitted the truth. He was relieved his dad took it so well.

"I always knew you were special, my little raven~"

"..can we come here again?"

His dad looked reluctant but thankfully allowed it.

The next few visits were just as interesting, as he got to meet so many more monsters that were like Sen. It was comforting being around others like him but also slightly distressing. He rarely thought about his past lives anymore, as he was trying to live in the present, knowing how painful it was to think of all that he had lost.

While he may have enjoyed the AU, his dad only seemed to look more stressed the longer they stayed here. He tried to ask what was wrong but they kept telling him not to worry about it. He frowned at the answer and decided that the next visit should be the last, not wanting his dad to look so anxious.

"Heya kiddo. Here to hear more stories? I think my brother might come over tod-"

"I came to say goodbye"

He watched as a myriad of emotions appeared on Sens face, struggling to name them all and..was that worry ?

"I see..any particular reason? You know i still have much more to tell, not to mention you haven't met everyone yet"

"I don't think dad likes this place, so i believe it's best to move on"

He was startled as Sen placed their hands on his shoulder, looking rather serious.

"Listen. I can clearly see you love your... dad but you need to be careful around them"

Karma was confused but mainly disappointed. He knew his dad had some certain oddities but nothing that would warrant this. He really had thought Sen was more open minded than this..

X-Tale AU

Karma was still frowning, even after they entered the AU. He was not happy to be here but his dad insisted it would be fun, which he was highly sceptical of. He scowled at the black and white surroundings, holding his dads hand even tighter in response. His wings flared when he sensed an XGaster in the distance, hissing until his dad picked him up, letting him hide in their shoulder.

"..can we go now, dad?"

"I know you have had issues with this AU type but i want to show you that it's not all bad~"

Karma was doubtful, grumbling as they moved to a high spot to observe the battle occuring. He was forcibly pried from his hiding place, being placed on his dads lap so he was unable to hide. He was kind of surprised his dad even knew what had happened with the last XGaster, considering he had never voiced it. It still ruffled his feathers even thinking of them.

He growled when his dad tapped his skull, pouting when they merely laughed at him, before adjusting his scarf for him.

"Such a vicious, little crow! I think you will like what's about to happen~"

He looked to where his dad was pointing, seeing Fresh creep up on Ink. He tilted his head confused, surprised when suddenly a cloud of magic came off the two, to reveal a new monster. He leaned forward, letting his magic out, realising that Fresh had taken over Inks body. How intriguing.

"Let's go take a closer look, shall we?~"

He giggled as his dad flew over the battle, impressed how smooth it was. His dad was so cool!

He was amused, when the new combined being started to mess with the other monsters. He outright laughed when they even got XGaster, guessing his dad had been right. This wasn't too bad. When they landed they happend to stop near a Cross variant, making him wonder how X was doing. It had been nice staying with them.

"You! What are you doing here?!"

Karma tensed at the hostility in Cross tone, seeing them looking at dad with pure hatred.

"Dad? Have you been here before?"

"Dad?! What have you done?! You don't deserve a child! I thought you finally realised that you destroy everything you touch-"

Karma's face was pushed into his dads coat, as he shivered in fear at the shouting. He tuned out whatever was being said, thankful when he felt dad create a portal, feeling rather drained.

Today had gone better than he thought it would but he was still very happy to leave.

Karma was tired and easily let his dad change him into his pyjamas, just wanting to sleep. He collapsed onto his pile of pillows, whining when he felt hands on his wings, lightly glaring at his dad.

"Just go to sleep. I'll sort this out while you do~"

Huffing he stretched his wings out to make it easier for his dad to reach, shifting to get comfy again. The gentle pressure on his wings quickly lulled him to sleep, quietly purring as their magic washed over him.

Karma: *Shrugs, looking more interested on the scenery then the conversation* Lost count after 100

Sen: *Mind freezes in bafflement, looking at the babybones in slight horror*..are you ok?!

Karma: *Who collects trauma like they are Pokemon cards* Of course i am. Why wouldn't i be?
