(Y/N's POV)

After waiting in the cell for another two hours which felt like an eternity, the cop told me that my new "guardian" Barbara was ready for me to go with her. I still felt odd about all this but if that means getting out of my cell, by all means, get me to her and take me the hell away from here. I followed the cop, thinking about how I was going to get out of this, I mean I thank Barbara for getting me a chance to get out of there but on the other hand, something was off about this and I didn't any part in this if shit goes through the roof so I need a way out of her sight and get out of this damn city.

Y/N's mind- But I need to be careful about this, I screw up again and I'm a goner for sure.

We got to the station's main office and Barbara was sitting in a chair and still had a calm smile on her. 

Barbara- Hi Y/N, are you ready to go?

Y/N- Sure, anywhere but here.

Barbara- Thats good, jail is no good for a young man like you. Anyway, let's go.

The cop released me and we both exited the station.

Y/N- So, what now?

Barbara- We'll talk about community service later, right now let's get you to my place, eat something, and get to know one another, cool?

Y/N- Ok.

We walked over to the parking lot, got in her car, and drove off.

20 minutes later...

We arrived at an apartment complex and it was a nicer one compared to the ones in the lower end of the city so I could tell she had it good, we parked in the garage and headed to her place. Walking down the bright, clean, and shiny place made me feel intimidated a little cause I'm so used to being in sketchy, dark, and dirty places all the time, being in a place like this is so scary to me. We went to the elevator and got to the third floor, we walked a little, and then she went to the left door that said 312. She unlocked the door, got inside, and saw her living room and holy crap!

This is way better than that shithole place I was at and with no questionable neighbors waking you up in the middle of the night, this is paradise. 

Barbara- Welcome in Y/N, make yourself at home.~

I took off my shoes, took a look around the place, and felt a little calm but kept caution, a force of habit.

Barbara- Finding the house to your liking Y/N?

Y/N- ...Sure, I guess.

Barbara- Oh, well that's a start, anyway I'm gonna make some lunch for us ok?

Y/N- Yeah.

Barbara- You can turn on the TV to watch anything you want, relax for a bit, you are no longer in danger.

Y/N's mind- But my gut still tells another story.

Y/N- Ok.

She left and I sat down on the couch which was very comfortable, grabbed the remote to turn on the TV, and went to see if I could find anything to watch. I saw she had Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu, HBO Max, and more. Damn, she has almost all of the streaming services, I didn't know which one to choose, I ended up with Disney Plus and watched some classic movies.

Y/N- I can plan later, right now I'll chill for a bit.

(Timeskip)

(No POV)

An hour went by and the food was ready, Barbara called Y/N to the table and he saw what was being served.

His mouth watered a little and there was garlic bread too. He sat down and began to eat the food and it was like biting a piece of heaven, compared to the poor food he often had to scavenge or steal to survive. Barbara started to ask him some personal questions and while he didn't want to share anything with her, she did feed him and he was thankful for that despite him planning a way out of her sight. So, he did answer her questions and while half of them were lies, he did tell some truth to her so he could let some of that out of his chest. She seemed to believe it all and told him she appreciated it, Y/N began to feel some kind of guilt but only a tiny bit, he still was going forward with his plan.

Y/N's mind- I just need her to trust me some more.

After eating, she took him on a little tour of the place, and while she did that, Y/N looked for any possible ways to sneakily leave the apartment building and he found his way when she took him to his room.

Barbara- Well Y/N, here is your room.

He went inside, looked around and it looked comfy.

Barbara- It was a formal guest room and had to quickly change the place up for you so it may look a little odd, but I did my best.

Y/N- No no, it's fine. I find it nice.

Barbara- Good, well that's the end of the tour, you can stay here for a bit or you can meet me in the living room to watch some more movies, sounds good?

Y/N- Yeah.

She left the room and Y/N searched for any routes that could lead out, he looked out of the window, opened it, and saw a pole he could climb up and down safely from the apartment, then saw there was a well-lighted alleyway that led to the main city and he knows the city layout from there. It was official, he knew what he had to do next...

Y/N's mind- Tonight, I'm going to test this plan when she is asleep, Hope this works.
