The Jewel In Her Heart

(Gold's POV)

"Hey, Yoshira," I say as we both enter the house. "why do you trust me? I'm a human too, you know?"

"I've seen you with your Pokémon," She says, smiling. "You're not like them. May I see YOUR Pokémon?"

"Huh? Oh, sure," I grab their Pokéballs and take out Pich, Togetaro, Explotaro, and Etaro.

"They're all so cute!" Yoshira yells.

"Welp," I say, placing my bag onto the kitchen table. "I gotta finish my school homework and then make dinner."

"School?" Yoshira asks.

"It's just some place where you go to get your education so you can get some job later on in life."

"Can I come?" She says. I turn around to look at her. Um, what?!

"You gotta be kidding me! What job are YOU hoping to get?" I ask with disgust.

"I don't know," Yoshira shrugs.

I slap my forehead. "Gah. I don't think you'd be able to get into the school."

"Please?" Yoshira says. She's giving me one of the cutest faces I've ever seen. I give her a scared look. She looks down. "I get it. Living with you is already enough. It's hard trusting me. I already tried killing you the first time we met." Tears are starting to fall to the floor.

I kneel down and face Yoshira. "Yoshira, it's alright. I think I'll try to get Professor Oak to- wait a minute!!" I spot her smile as her tears come out. I remember now. She can use any move! "Stop using Fake Tears!!" She stops crying.

"I'm not using Fake Tears!!" Yoshira says.

I sigh. "I'll call Professor Oak to see if I can get you in." Yoshira brightly smiles.

"Now I'm gonna cook dinner now. You can hang out with my Pokémon."

"Alright," Yoshira says. She runs over to my Pokémon who are in the living room. "Wait, Gold," I walk over to the living room and spot Yoshira staring at the TV. "What's this?"

"Oh, it's called a television. It's where you can watch anything on there."

"What's this uh... thing on the TV called?"

"Oh, it's one of Silver's favorite shows. It's called Proteam Omega. Pretty bad in my opinion but you can go ahead and watch it with my Pokémon."

"Seems interesting." Oh no. She's hooked to the TV. I sigh and walk over to the table. (A/N: Now you people might be wondering, how can I cook? Well, my mom's been busy with work so I self-taught myself on how to make myself some food. Also, Jewel's my imaginary sister. Don't judge me).

"Gold," I hear the front door open. It's Jewel! "I'm home." I'm starting to sweat. I'm waiting for the yell. "GOLD!!" She comes running into the kitchen. "WHO IS THAT?!"

I sigh. "Remember when you told me about humans with Pokémon powers?" Jewel nods. "Well, that girl is a Pokémon... or should I say was. She's... Mew."

"MEW?!" Jewel asks. She covers her mouth because she yelled. "Mew, the ancestor of Pokémon?"

"Yeah," I say as I turn on the stove. "but for some reason, she now has a gender. Mythical Pokémon usually don't have genders, right?"

"I think so, but why have you been keeping this a secret from us?"

"Professor Oak told me to refrain from telling anyone. Luckily, he let me tell you."

"You being the pervert, it does makes sense as to why she's living here," Jewel says as she turns around to look at Yoshira.

"Hey," I say. "she wanted to live with me."

"She did?" Jewel says, turning back to face me. She gives me a shocked look. "If Blue was here, she would say that Yoshira likes you."

"Whatever," I say as I roll my eyes. "Oh, you know that it pained me to lie to you, you know?"

"Don't get emotional," Jewel says. "but yeah, I know."

"Gold," I hear Yoshira say. "I trusted you." I stop what I'm doing. What does she mean?

"What're you talking about?" I ask.

She points at Jewel. "You brought HER here to take me away!!" I spot tears falling onto her face. These is not Fake Tears.

"No no, Yoshira," I say as I mentally slap myself. "this is Jewel, my sister. She lives here too so there's nothing to be afraid of." Yoshira closes her eyes.

"What's she doing?" Jewel whispers into my right ear.

"She's probably using one of her moves," I respond.

"You're not lying," Yoshira says.

"She probably used Mind Reader," Jewel says.

"Makes sense," I reply.

"Alright," Jewel says, walking up the stairs. "call me when dinner's ready. I'll be doing the homework."

"Okay," I say. I continue making dinner.

To be continued...
