(Gold's POV)

I'm now at Cerulean City. Now where could this be? My phone rings. I put it to my ear as I keep a close eye out for Mew.

"Hey, Professor Oak," I say. 

"Professor Oak?" Oh no! That's Jewel's voice. "Gold, where in the name of Arceus are you?!"

"I-uh," What am I supposed to say?! My phone rings again. This one better be Professor Oak! Yes, it is! "Hold up, Jewel. Professor Oak wants to talk to me!"

"Fine," She says in an annoyed tone. "see you after school." She hangs up. I answer Professor Oak's call.

"Professor Oak," I say. 

"Gold," He says. "you'll find Mew near the bridge! But the thing is... you have to lead it away from people because it seems to be very afraid."

"Gotcha," I say. "oh, and if anyone asks you where I am... can you just give me some cover?"

"What do you do?"

"Well, I was gonna go to some Pokémart after school but I don't think Jewel would believe me since she knows for a fact that I wouldn't leave school for this. So... just tell her that. She'll believe you."

"Alright then," He says. "be careful, Gold." He hangs up. 

"So Mew's on the bridge, huh? Hopefully no one recognizes it." I run over to the bridge. There, I see the pink haired girl with its tail. She turns her head into my direction. Deep breaths. Deep breaths. Now I walk over to her. She backs away a little. "I-it's alright!"

"You want to capture me," She says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"You humans enslave Pokémon for your own. You take them away from their homes." This is kinda creeping me out. I sigh and take a few more steps closer to her. All of a sudden, I feel my right wrist burning up. I look at it and quickly blow the fire out. 

"Did you just attack me?!" I yell.

"You were about to capture me," She powers up a move that looks like an Ice Beam. "Now get away from me. I know EVERY move. I can learn a new move anytime I want."

"What if I used Attract on you?" I ask with a smirk. I don't even think this would work. But looking at the options I can think of... this is the only one that would have a CHANCE to work:
1. Drag her back to Pallet Town and possibly end up under my tombstone.
2. Knock her out, bring her to Pallet Town, and have people think I'm crazier than a pervert.
3. Use Attract.

How am I supposed to use Attract though? I'm not a Pokémon.

"Attract?" She says. "What kind of move is that?" She doesn't know this move because Mew originally never had a gender. So she wouldn't take the time to study or learn it.

"I'll show you," I say as I get closer to her. She backs away again. "It's not gonna hurt you."

"I don't believe you," She says. How am I supposed to do this?! Do Pokémon really fall for humans? More importantly, do Pokémon who originally didn't have a gender to begin with fall for humans? 

"Even if you get captured... would it really be that bad?"

"YES! THOSE PEOPLE IN THOSE SCARY BLACK SUITS WITH A HUGE RED LETTER IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR SHIRTS! I SEE HOW THEY TREAT THEIR POKÉMON! I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT ALL YOU HUMANS DO THE SAME!"

"Not all humans are like that!" I yell. 

"ALL HUMANS ARE THE SAME!"

"No they're not! If anyone's gonna try to take you, I'll protect you! I won't let anyone take you away!"

"Wait what?!" Mew yells. I think I see her face getting a little red. So it is possible. "Y-you just wanna take ME away, don't you?"

"It's true," I say. "I do capture other Pokémon. I do it because they either don't have a home, have a family, or they wanted to join me! If they're not happy with me after three days... then I'll release them! If you want, I could try to find a way to bring you back to your Pokémon form! So please, come with me." I stick my right hand out. She gives me an angry, but blushy look. OW!! Did she just slap my right hand away?! Was that Wake Up Slap?

"Hmph," She yells. "I'm not falling for your tricks." Then she uses Teleports and she's gone.

"Dang it," I softly say. "but I really did mean what I said back there." I grab my Pokégear and call professor Oak. "Professor Oak? Mew used Teleport and got away."

"Did you at least try to get her?" He asks.

"Mew keeps thinking that all humans capture Pokémon for their satisfaction. Reason being... Team Rocket's after her."

"Team Rocket?! They're already hunting for her."

"Which is why I want to SAVE her." I bring Pich (YES THAT'S WHAT I NAMED MY PICHU! IT'S NOT A SPELLING ERROR!) out of its Pokéball. It jumps onto the top of my head as I smile. 

"We'll try again when she's spotted around here," Professor Oak says on the other end. "School's done and you should probably get back home now."

"Alright, see you tomorrow, Professor Oak."

"What, you think you'll see Mew tomorrow? School's off for the next day."

"I might see Mew tomorrow." I hang up and use my skateboard to get home.
