Aaradhya's Pov.

I couldn't believe that this jerk is again trying to woo me. I won't come in his trap now.
I already had enough of it.

All were gathered around us when I faced him.

Dad made an announcement for us to exchange our rings.

Our parents surrounded us in  no time. His mom gave him the ring that we had selected that day.
At the same time, Maa handed me his ring.
He took my hand in his and smiled. I didn't react when he slipped it on my ring finger. Everyone clapped.

Then I did the same thing but I didn't held his hand in my palm.
The same sound of clapping echoed and my parents hugged me while he hugged his.

Then we both took some blessings from our elders. He again draped his arm around my waist, this time holding it very tightly.
I tried to resist his grip but instead his held grew tighter. He is physically much stronger than I am but he hasn't seen my claws yet.

"Leave me." I murmured, angrily.

"Never." He whispered in my ears plastering his smile to others.

The word felt like a promise.

"Why are you doing this Riddhant?" I looked at him.

"Because you are my fiancée" He exclaimed and kissed my cheek. My eyes went wide.
He smirked again.

Fiancée, my foot!
From the past four days, he's ignoring me as if I'm a plague and now he thinks he has some sort of claim on me.
He's pathetic, arrogant and one  egoistic jerk!

People were coming to us and were constantly congratulating. I was pissed off with him and everyone around. He was busy chatting with the guest as if he was the most happiest man to be today.
Suddenly, I saw my old best friend approaching towards us.

"Niki!" I screamed in excitement and Riddhant's eyes traveled to us.

She squeezed me into a tight embrace. Nikita was my childhood best friend. We practically grew up together.
I was surprised to find her today at the event since she doesn't live here anymore and then I looked at Aditi who was smiling at me.

I had to admit that I have got the best sister in the world.

"So finally, some action in your love life." She chuckled.

"This is not fair, you both can't ignore me like this. You always do." Harsh commented.

Harsh is Nikita's elder brother. We used to play together in school and he was a big flirt back then. He was always a protective brother to Nikita and a good friend to me.

But after school, Nikita with her family left India to study in Canada while her parents moved there to handle their family business.

Harsh came ahead.
"Ignore and you. Never has that happened." I playfully hit his arm.

"Then why did you ditch me Ardu? We were totally destined to be together. Am I that bad?" He pouted and teased me before he pulled his collar proudly.

"Not at all. We still have a chance." I joked and pulled him into a hug. I held him for few seconds.
"Dude, what are you doing? Back off. She's mine." Riddhant pulled me back with a force. I was beyond shock.

Did he say some sort of joke?
How did he just claimed me to be his?

"Woah! Some one is possessive." Harsh sniggered and Nikita giggled.

"Don't worry, he's already taken and he was just joking. Relax!" Nikita told Riddhant.

Riddhant sighed in relief.
I ignored him.

"Oh really, who's the lucky girl?" I raised my eyebrows at Harsh.

"You won't be meeting her so soon because she'll run away if she finds you for who you are, tigress." He teased again.

I hit his head this time and he yelped.

"Enough both of you. Aaradhya and Riddhant, congratulations on your engagement and Ardu, I will be staying in Mumbai for a year so I'll be meeting you very soon." Nikita spoke finally, sounding excited.

"Really? When were you planning to tell me that?" My smile got bigger.

"It was a surprise. Anyway, we'll catch up later. Enjoy your evening." She said.

We both smiled at them.

"If you dare hurt her, I'll knock you out." Harsh threatened Riddhant and Riddhant acted to be scared. We laughed at their antics.
"Come on Harsh, we have to meet auntie and uncle."  Nikita exclaimed and they both left us alone.

"Why did you tell him that I am yours?" I asked Riddhant.

"Because you are mine. I am your fiancé now and you can't deny it." He smirked, showing me his hand with the ring on it.

I am so freakingly frustrated with his attitude. I haven't forgiven him yet and he's acting all normal.
The rest of our guest came one by one and left us to eat dinner after congratulating and gifting various bouquets and presents.
Finally, we both were surrounded only by my cousins.

"Jeeju (Brother-in-law), let me introduce you to our cool clan of cousins. This is Tanmay bhaiya, Prateik bhaiya, Rohini aka Rano and Janvi di." Aditi introduced them one by one.

Riddhant flashed his smile to each one of them. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Janvi who she just faked a smile because she knew everything about Riddhant. Even she didn't have a great opinion about him.

I gave her an assuring look and she just nodded.
Riddhant introduced some of his colleagues and relatives and I greeted them.
After some time, my cousins dragged us to the dance floor.

We danced together on the bollywood beats.
I intentionally stomped on his foot and he winced in pain.

Served him right for treating me like a piece of shit?

I smirked at him but he still smiled all along.
We kept dancing till our parents called us for dinner.

Thankfully, I was starving.

At the dinner table, Riddhant fed me from his hand.
I ate it quietly because of our families presence.

"So sweet jeeju. Di, now you have to feed him." Aditi interrupted me.

I took a spoonful of rice and mixed it nicely with the spicy pickle to feed him.

He ate it but soon a drop of tear escaped from his eyes.
He got up immediately and excused himself.

I felt pity for him and guilty too so I followed him to the lawn.
I handed him some water and he drank it quickly.

"Sorry." I said and was about to leave when he caught my wrist.

"No, I am sorry, forgive me." He apologized sincerely.

"You needn't apologize. Anyway I don't care." I snorted as I was too mad at him.

He pulled me closer.
"You do care the way I do but Aaradhya, I need time to open up my past to you. Can't you wait?" He cupped my face with his palms
His touch made me go weak on my knees.

"No, it's okay. I have no right to interfere in your personal life." I looked in his light brown eyes.

"You do have a right because you. Because you know what?" He kissed my forehead and winked.

I closed my eyes when I felt his lips on my skin.

"Because I am your fiancée." I completed his sentence after he had left me alone in the lawn.
