Friday night
Chandler came out of his room looking sharp in a suit, making Joey slightly confused, which happened often.
"You look smart, where are you going, huh?" Joey asked his friend,
"Going on a date," Chandler smirked, liking to be able to say that, of which he hadn't since breaking it off with Janice.
"No, really where you going?" Joey asked again, not quite believing Chandler.
"I'm not joking! Monica's set me up on a blind date," he told his friend.
"Yeesh, if Monica's set it up it's not gonna be good."
Chandler looked at Joey, "what makes you say that?"
"She once set me up with a girl who took my food off my plate!" Chandler pretended to be shocked at the outburst that Joey seemed particularly upset about.
"What a horror!" He said sarcastically,
"I know right!"
Chandler rolled his eyes and walked towards the door, "well, I'm leaving, don't wait up."
Walking out the door, Chandler fixed his coat. Meanwhile, Liliana was also walking out her door, dressed in a dress, looking at what she hoped was gorgeous.
Chandler saw Liliana, "Hey Lily! You look great!"
Lily blushed but hid it well. "Thanks, so do you! Where are you going if you don't mind me asking?"
"Blind date, Monica set me up." He smirked, rather impressed that his friend knew he was finally over Janice.
"Huh? What a coincidence, I'm going on a blind date to. That Monica set up."
The two upon realizing what Monica had done, rushed over to her door and banged on it harshly.
Monica, annoyed by the knocking on the door and realizing who it was, opened it gingerly, and not all the way.
"Oh hey guys, what's up?" She asked slyly,
"Just wondered if you knew that both me and Chandler were BOTH going on a blind date, coincidence right?" Lily asked with a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
"Wow, that's a pretty big coincidence, well you guys have fun, bye-bye now." Monica tried closing the door, but Chandler stopped her.
"Mon, did you set us up on a date together?"
"I may have...but you guys have a lot of like lovey-dovey tension between you two and everyone can see it, but you two are too much of wusses to get together. And I know I'm rambling and I'm going to shut up now." Monica said quickly, having to take a breath.
"Lovey-dovey tension? One, what does that even mean and two, no we don't! Do we?" Chandler turned to Lily, hoping that her answer would be a positive one and maybe even admit to feelings.
"Monica, there are no feelings between Chandler and I, that's why we're friends," Lily said, in hopes that they would both believe the lie she told.
"Yeah, exactly." Chandler agreed, not entirely happy with the answer given by the redhead.
"Look, I'm sorry guys, I just wanted to do something nice for you both. But I mean you can still go to the restaurant, right? Even as friends, cause I have booked the table for you both!" Monica said, sneakily hoping they'd figure their feeling out soon, and maybe in the restaurant.
"Sure, I could do with some food." Lily shrugged and smiled at Chandler,
"Eh, why not? But you're paying Monica, you got us into this mess." He pointed at Monica, who got out her purse and handed him $50.
"Fine, just trying to be a good friend, but whatever."
"Thank you, now my lady, shall we go?" Chandler said jokingly to Lily, who giggled and took the arm he extended for her.
"We shall," The pair walked out the building on the trek to the restaurant as Monica rolled her eyes and closed the door.
"Idiots," She smirked.
