The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb (Goosebumps #5)
Now, I've read the book The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb more than once, and I must say, I have found some really neat and awesome things to say about it.
For one thing, I like Egypt (which is in Africa), and the idea of mummies, pyramids, pharaohs and the Great Sphinx sure is superbly inspiring for a writer as well. And the fact that the ancient Egyptians believed in an afterlife sure can be kind of intriguing too.
Basically, the 12-year-old protagonist, Gabe Sabry, is pretty cool, and he even reveals that he and his family are Egyptian-American.
Also, if I were to pick a favorite part in the book, it would definitely be this one for sure:
One thing about me is that I have a really good sense of direction. Mom and Dad always say they don't need a map when I'm around. I almost always know when I'm heading the wrong way. (p. 63)
Now, if you want to know what happens next, read the book.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this book to those who like Egypt and reading about it. Also, I give it five stars (although ten stars would be even better). 😊
