Dax Magraw, here. I hail from Terra, and I'm a small hairless warm-blooded biped. I'm a peacekeeper on nu Ophiuci c 1, better known as "Catworld." 

We had a reliable rumor that Silver Mowk and his gang planned to hit Big Ro's drinking hole tonight. I'm here to stop him. 

Now, don't get the idea that I'm brave or anything. The cats (the natives: furry bipedal masses of bone and muscle) terrify me, and they often rip each other to bloody shreds. Sure, they outweigh me about five-to-one, and one swipe of their claws would send me to the morgue, but I've got an ace up my sleeve: I play trombone.

Music turns the Ksss (the big cats) into fuzzy puddles of adoration. It's enough to de-escalate almost any conflict.

Trouble is, some cats are gaining resistance to musical tranquility. Or so I hear.

It won't happen on my watch.

Welcome to week 31, and a short yet very chaotic story about cats, aliens, and a peacekeeper armed with a trombone!

Throughout this story, despite being short in length, Guy does a great job at weaving small pieces of information about the world and the characters we're introduced to. The information we're given is weaved throughout the narrative so naturally that none of it seems out of place or like a dump of information. We find out so much about the world in such a few short chapters that it left me curious about the the rest of the world and how it came to be.

The fact that the story revolves around quite humanoid looking cats creates such a unique story that is unlike anything else you will find on Wattpad. It's such a fun, chaotic world Guy has created with the cats, or the Ksss, that will leave you wanting to find out more about them. It also just adds to the chaos of the story since I never expected to find when I started reading it. 

One of the other things I loved was the use of music throughout and how it works as a peacekeeping tool. It's not something I ever considered before, and it really just adds to the unique nature of the entire story. What I loved is that we get to see how the trombone worked against the Ksss, but we also see a brief moment when it doesn't work and Dax has to resort to singing, which has a similar effect. It's such a fun addition to the story and really helps to set it apart from our own world.

If you're looking for a short, fun read about giant cats and a guy playing the trombone, this is definitely one I recommend it. It's so chaotic and works so well with the world that Guy has created in the story.  The world has so much detail in it for such a short story, that it will leave you wanting so much more about the world.
