Dr. Brenner walked Mike up to his room. "Don't you EVER wander away like that again!!" he shouted.
"Yes, papa," he said trying to pretend he was sorry. Dr. Brenner nodded and walked out. Mike laid down as Brenner closed the door. As soon as he heard his hand leave the doorknob he shot up in his bed.
"Eleven, I'm coming! I just gotta get out of here!" Mike whispered.

Mike slowly tiptoed across the floor and walked down the stairs to the first floor. It was very suspicious, no one seemed to be awake to stop him. He walked out of the front door and right into a circle of Hawkin's employees. "I told you he would come! Grab him!" one shouted. Mike ran and ran and ran, dodging each one, but he knew there was no exit except the electric fence. Wait. Wait over there. It was a sewage pipe that ran underground. It must have ended somewhere in the forest. He ran down to it and held his breath while crawling through.
