Maliah's POV

I woke up, but didn't open my eyes. I groaned and rolled over, but something didn't feel right...I wasn't in my bed, it felt like I was on the ground. I sighed, knowing I had to open my eyes, but I was still tired. I opened one eyelid, then closed it right back. The stupid ball of fire we know as the sun was staring at me. I put up my hand to shield my eyes, and opened them both. Yup, I was on the ground. Outside. In the...sky? This is all wrong...I'm obviously dreaming. No way on earth am I in some castle in the sky. If it is a dream, why not make the most of it? I started to sit up when my eardrums were nearly shattered.

"Yo, Lin! She's up!" 

After the ringing in my ears stopped, I turned my head to the right and saw a girl grinning at me. She had red hair and bright blue eyes.

"..."

I wanted to ask her a question, but there were too many. Besides, before I could think of what to say, a girl in a hoodie came running over. She sat opposite of the redhead, and I just stared at her. She smiled back, then spoke.

"I know, you have a million questions. We all did, at first. So, first of all, you're not dreaming. Secondly, you're probably not going to believe me, but...You're dead." 

I blinked, then remembered I have to ability to speak, so I used it. "You're right."

"Wow, you do believe me? That's a first."

"No, you're right about me not believing you."

"...Oh. Well, you're probably not very comfortable on the ground, so let's talk someplace else. Right, where are my manners? I'm Lindsay!" She said cheerfully.

"I'm Rana, but everybody just calls me Red." The girl from before who nearly made me go deaf said.

"Okay, well, I'm-"

"Maliah! I know who you are." Lindsay giggled. Either she's a stalker, or I really am dead... "Anyway, follow me."

Lindsay and Rana led me to a cafe, where we all sat down at a table. Lindsay and Rana sat across from me.

"Okay Maliah, I'm gonna be blunt here. You died, came here to Heaven, and now you're an angel. What kind of angel you are is something you have to find out, but your actions may change thay." Lindsay told me. I noticed she had wings, but they were folded in. She noticed me looking at them, so she opened them. They were green with white on the top, they reminded me of snow on top of grass.

"...Wow." I mumbled.

Lindsay giggled. "You think these are cool? Look at Red's!" 

At this, Rana opened her wings. They were a sky blue with an electric yellow zig-zag shape going through them.

"Dude, those are awesome! ...Sorry about that, maybe I shouldn't have had so much coffee..." I said.

Rana chuckled and clowed her wings.

"So, as I was saying, I've been here a long time, so I introduce the newcomers with Red here." Lindsay continued. "We have lots of stuff to do here, so I hope you have fun!"

"Uh, thanks. I think..." I said.

"Hey, how did you die?" Rana asked casually.

I blinked. "It's sort of fuzzy..."

"Did you get smothered to death by a fuzzy animal?" She joked.

"Ha ha, very funny Rana." I said sarcastically.

"Red." She mumbled.

"Well, anyway, I'll tell you when I remember." I said.

"K." Was her simple reply. She's interesting...

"Well, I have to get going. See you around, Maliah!" Lindsay said, standing up.

"Bye." I waved as she left. Rana and I sat there in an awkward silence.

"Well...This is interesting." She said, laughing. 

"Yeah..."  I chuckled.

"I'm gonna go too...Peace!" Rana waved and jogged out.

So many things just happened...First I die, and I don't even remember how, and now I'm in Heaven with two new...acquaintances, what more is going to happen? Guess I'm gonna find out soon enough...
