Taking Over My Mind...
Matthew got better after 2 days passed. And damn, was Nate happy.
They didn't make out, because Nate knew that even though Matt was better, he was still a little fragile.
But that didn't stop him from doing one thing..making this whole thing more worser than before.
Matt was in his bedroom, as per usual, when he heard a knock.
"Come in." He said, as the door opened.
The one to enter his room was none other than Rachel.
"Hey, Matt." she said.
"Oh, hi, Rachie!" Matt said.
"I hear you've been sick these last few days. Are you alright?"
"Yeah. I'm better now."
Rachel smiled at Matthew, and the male tried to force a smile back at her. But, after he did, he felt his head beginning to ache. Matt groans and placed his hand on his aching head. This concerns Rachel.
"Matt? Are you...okay?" Rachel asked, a little worried.
"Y-Yeah. It's just a headache. It happens to me all the time." Matthew lied.
"Why don't I believe you?"
"You think I'm lying!?"
"No! Not at all!"
"Then why don't you believe me?!"
"I don't know!"
Matthew was trying not to lose his temper. He was worried that Nathan was going to break free.
"I'm fine, okay?! It happens all the time!" Matthew said, trying to remain calm.
"Are you..trying not to yell at me?" Rachel asked.
"Yes."
"Why?"
"I don't want him to come out and hurt you again."
"Who's he?! And what do you mean by'Again?!'"
"Shit! Forget what I said!"
"No! Matthew! Tell me what's wrong!"
"I SAID I'M FINE, RACHEL!!!" Matthew screamed.
It was too late. Matt had lost his temper. Meaning that Nate was about to take over his mind.
"Matt?! Are you okay?!"
Matthew wasn't able to respond. He could feel the pain in him growing. He let out a ferocious roar, which frightened Rachel completely.
It was silent after that. But then..Matt began to laugh. And that laugh immediately became maniacal.
Nathan had taken over his mind.
"Matt?" Rachel whined.
"Matt's not here, Miss Jackson." Matthew/Nathan laughed.
Rachel could feel her heart pounding in her chest. It was fast. She was filled with fear.
This fear grew worse when Matthew turned around.
His eyes weren't brown. They were a bloody crimson red colour. His smile was terrifying and sinister.
"Matthew! Stop it! You look like a fucking demon with those eyes!" Rachel yelled.
"I'm not Matt, Rachel. I'm Nate, and I assure you, I don't expect him coming back any time soon."
"Wait..Nate...that's the short version of the name Nathan. And I met a horrible man called Nathan Sharp. And I told Matt that he looked like-!"
Rachel had suddenly realised that Matthew and Nathan were the same person!
"Oh my God! Matthew is Nathan Sharp! Nathan's Matthew! Matt Patrick and Nate Sharp! THEY'RE THE SAME PERSON!!!" she shrieked.
The ebony haired girl didn't even notice the possessed Male had cornered her.
"So, you've finally figured it out. That I am Matthew, and he is me?"
"Matt! Please! I know you're in there!"
Matthew grunted and looked at Rachel, his eyes were back to it's regular colour.
"Oh shit! Rachel...I'm..I'm so sorry you had to see that..now you know my secret. Please..don't be mad." Matthew said, completely ashamed.
"Matthew. I'm not mad. You know what? I knew you and Nate were the same before this all happened."
That confused Matt.
"What do you mean?"
"I've never seen you and Nate at the same place at the same time. I figured this was the case to that. I even see Nate in the mirror instead of you."
Matthew looked at the mirror. Nathan was definitely his reflection.
"Matt. I feel horribly sorry for you. Do you need me to help?" Rachel asked him.
"No. I'm able to handle him by myself." Matthew replied.
"Okay then. I better get going." Rachel smiled as she got up to leave.
"Okay. But, Rach. Please don't tell anyone what you saw."
"I swear I won't tell anyone what I saw!" Rachel said, confidently.
Matthew laughed as she left.
"No! SHE KNOWS NOW! She'll break this promise, I know! Girls are bad at keeping promises from guys!" Nathan said in Matt's head.
"Well, if it wasn't for you, she wouldn't have!" Matthew yelled.
"Oh! You blame me for everything here, sweetheart!"
"You're evil! And I know that evil people are never up to anything good!"
"Matthew! I had to do it!"
"You really didn't."
Nathan looked down, grumbling slightly.
Matthew sighed and also looked down. "Look, Nate. I'm still a little cranky from my illness. You promised me—"
"To never take over your mind until your crankiness is done with. I know."
Matt smiled. "Glad to know you remember." he said.
"I'm sorry..." Nate said, with a little tear in his eye.
Hold it. Is Nate crying? Matt thought. He had never seen Nate sad. This was the very first time he saw his dark side this way.
"It's okay, Nate. Everyone forgets sometimes."
Nathan came out of the mirror, and hugged Matthew.
Matt smiled and hugged the taller male back. "Can we stay like this for a while, Natey?"
Nate looked at Matt. Natey? That's my nickname? he thought. He smiled at Matthew.
"Of course we can, my prince."
