The Past Comes Calling
Crowley had felt like he was being watched, he had been feeling it for days, ever since he and Aziraphale had saved the world. Every time he looked around he didn't see anything out of the ordinary. He honestly believed that he was losing his mind that was until the bookshop received a very familiar and demonic visitor.
Crowley was lying on the couch through the back of the shop when he heard the bell above the door, he ignored it, that was until the angel had called his name.
"Crowley could you come here a moment please?"
Crowley grumbled, he was comfy and didn't want to get up but the urgency in Aziraphale's voice overrode his comfort. He stood up, forgetting about his glasses and made his way through the store.
Crowley stopped when he saw the beautiful brunette women standing before the angel. The brown haired women in the long black dress stood there and smiled at the demon.
"Hello Crowley" she said still smiling at him.
For the first time in a long time Aziraphale saw a smile on Crowley's face. Then he watched as he practically ran towards the women and hugged her. That surprised the angel, Crowley rarely instigated touch.
"I missed you" he said into the mysterious women's hair.
"I missed you too my sneaky snake" said the women who pulled out of the hug and placed her hand on his cheek with a smile.
Crowley also smiled it had been a long time since he had been called that.
"We're being rude"
Aziraphale smiled as she looked at him.
"Right Uh, angel this is Lilith, mother of demons"
Aziraphale recognised her the second he had heard her name.
"Of course, forgive me, it's been a very long time"
"That it has, you're looking well Aziraphale. I'm glad you're not alone up here" said Lilith looking at Crowley whilst putting her hand on his chest.
"Why are you here?" asked the demon
"Visiting my son doesn't need ulterior motives" she answered looking a him with a raised eyebrow
"Mother"
Lilith sighed and smiled "Very well, I need your help finding an Eric, he was summoned days ago and no one downstairs seems to care"
"Not surprised, no one likes an Eric"
"I want to find him and I was hoping you would help me?"
"Of course we will my dear" said Aziraphale
"If anyone else asked I would tell them to stick it"
"But since its me you'll help?"
"Course I'm not risking you telling Aziraphale any embarrassing stuff about me"
"Oh darling what makes you think I still won't?"
Aziraphale smiled at Lilith and said "I look forward to hearing them"
Crowley scowled at the angel and said "No you most certainly do not"
"Wait can't you transport yourself to any demon where ever they are?"
"Yes I but I'm having trouble pushing through the summons"
"Well lets combine our powers"
Aziraphale, Crowley and Lilith sat on the floor in the middle of the bookshop and held hands whilst channelling their powers to Lilith. They focused all their power on the power line that Lilith had showed them and transported their consciousness' through the connection, they ended up in an abandoned warehouse.
"He's close, this way" said Lilith as she walked cautiously through the hallways followed by the demon and the angel.
They came across a room with a human man sitting at a desk, writing in a notebook whilst the Eric was sitting in a demon trap watching the man.
"Oh Eric" said Lilith
"He's drawn a second circle" realised Aziraphale
"He's going to take another demon" said Lilith
The human man stood up and walked over to the circle and began to chant as the circle glowed.
Crowley began to feel weird like he was vibrating in his own skin. Of course he never said anything to either Lilith or Aziraphale, he didn't know what was happening.
"Oh no" mumbled Crowley as he felt himself being pulled back to his body
"Crowley are you okay?" asked Aziraphale
"I feel...."
The last thing both Aziraphale and Lilith heard from the demon was a gut wrenching scream as he was pulled back to his body which was now in the middle of the second circle. Crowley was huddled on the floor, he held his stomach in pain and was shaking from head to toe.
"You could've killed me" said Crowley
"I'm overflowing with guilt" said the man with no emotion whatsoever.
The human walked out of the room seconds before both Lilith and Aziraphale appeared in the room.
"Crowley!" said Aziraphale as he ran over to him "Are you okay?"
"It...hurtsss"
"I know we'll get you out of here"
"One moment" said Aziraphale as he began to inspect the runes that made up the circle "He's somehow connected the circles to his own life, they'll only break when he dies"
"That can be arranged" said Lilith as she walked out of the room
"Lilith!" shouted Aziraphale as he ran after her.
Aziraphale caught up to her in the corridor and stopped her "Lilith you can't do this, as much as I want to free Crowley and Eric..."
"This is my choice, when you care for demons as your own children we'll do it your way, but this man has taken two of my children"
Lilith was about to walk away when the angel grabbed her arm and said "This is not a decision you will ever be able to live with"
"I would take on god herself for my children"
Their conversation came to an end when they came face to face with the man.
"Who...who are you?" he asked
"I'm only going to ask this once, release...my...sons"
"What do you think their doing?" asked Eric
"Aziraphale's probably trying to convince mother not to kill that dick"
"Why? Why does he care?"
"Because he still has faith"
"Sounds nice"
Suddenly Crowley and Eric both felt the power of their circles dissipate seconds before Aziraphale and Lilith came back into the room.
"Angel is he...?"
"I did what I had to" said Lilith as she went over to Eric as Aziraphale went to Crowley.
"Come on my dear, lets go home" said Aziraphale as he helped up Crowley
"Angel...."
"Shh its alright, its okay, its over now"
"We should get going" said Lilith and Eric
Lilith walked over to Crowley and hugged him "Take care of yourself, if you need me I'll be there"
"I love you mother"
Lilith gave Crowley back to Aziraphale and walked back to Eric, they were about to leave when she said "I love you, always"
