The rest of the Justice league walked off, leaving Aqualad and Batgirl with the team.

"This team has had sucesses, but much remains to be done. Superboy, Miss Martian, Beastboy, you're Alpha..."
As he continued to speak, he surveyed the team.
Much had changed over the course of a few months. They met their new foe, the Reach. The light had been defeated for now, but they would not stay down for Long. They had found the original Roy Harper. They had gained new members, and yet... He glanced at Bart suited up in Wally's uniform.

Bright green eyes met his gaze, and the first thought that came to mind was Wally. But he knew better.
Artemis, or Tigress, listened attentively, and Kaldur recognised a flicker of grief in her eyes as she occasionally snuck glances at Kid Flash, then turned away realising that it was not Wally behind the mask.
Yes. Much had changed.

"The rest of you are gamma, and will investigate Batgirl's lead on Vandal Savage's next move."
As he finished his briefing, he nodded, and the teams left to their respective destinations.

He exchanged glances with Batgirl, and they both got to work.

Present time
The footsteps echo throughout the room, and the figure stops moving.
"Savage," a monotonous voice greets, acknowledging the presence of the light member. Vandal Savage gives no reply as he meets the stare of his partner,  gaze focused as the gears in his cunning mind turned, always thinking, always plotting.

"We have waited for too Long. It has been three years. We need to act now," The figure urges.
Savage shook his head, a chuckle escaping his lips as he smirked at the figure.
"Patience my Friend. Patience is key. Yes, no doubt the children grow stronger in numbers and in many other ways alike, but they still have their weaknesses."

He walks to the table next to the figure, picking up the orange sitting on it.
"And once we find that Achilles heel..."
In a swift motion, he tosses the orange into the air and impales it with a dagger, throwing both fruit and dagger onto the wall.

"We shall make our move."
