Weeks later, Encre's POV

I smile as Fallacy hugs me again after leaving another meeting. He nuzzles my head, which recently got the bandages removed from. I hold his arm gently.

"I love you, Encre! You have no idea how much you mean to me!"He says

That makes two of us then. He doesn't know either.

Poussière facepalms, shaking his head.

"You too, mon amour. Same to you."I say 

"What does that mean? Mon amour?"He asks

I feel my face burn up a bit.

"Something special."I say

"Well I'm honored to be called that."He says

Poussière covers Suave's mouth before he gives the specific answer.

"You have no idea how much honor that is."Poussière says

"But I still like it!"Fallacy says

Suave checks his watch.

"You two better get to your next meeting."He says

They nod.

"Where can I find you when I get out?"Fallacy asks

"Probably drawing outside."I say

"Alright, see you then, Love."He says

Then he walks away with Poussière already teasing him.

I go to my room. I quickly grab my sketchbook and some sketch tools. I go outside and sketch, taking in the fresh air. Now it's Mid January and the snow is gone. I fell the soft breezes with their gentle whistle. Hours pass. I look at the doodles and sketches, then color them in. I start to space out and draw automatically. When I snapped back to reality, I look at the sketch. My face burns. I have drawn Fallacy. I quickly flip to another page and sketch something else, knowing that Fallacy could come at any second. I hear howling. Like a wolf's howl. I put my stuff down and look around. Nobody and nothing was around. I check the window and Jasper is watching me.

I smile. But then he looks worried. I get confused by his gaze.

Then I feel someone grab me by my arm and drag me away. It feels like a jaw is biting on it. I look and see a wolf pulling me with the arm in the jaw.

"Let me go!"I shout, slamming my feet to the ground, slowing the wolf down

The wolf stops and shapeshifts a bit. Shoot. A werewolf!

The werewolf turns around, dropping my arm. I get up and run.

"Not so fast!"They say, tackling me to the ground

They wrap their arms around me, putting me between their legs.

"Please let me go."I say

"Nope! You have a good scent! I like good scent! That means good person! I love ya! I'm gonna keep ya!"He says

"Ummm.....No thanks...."I say

"I'll take you to my den!"He says

Then he picks me up, going on two feet and running. He happily carries me.

"It's not like you belong to anyone."He says

"Actually, I do."I say, pointing to the mark on my neck

"Huh....And what mark is that?"He asks

"A mark from Fallacy."I reply as he carries me into a den or small cave

He sets me down. He looks unhappy.

"Wait....That means......"He says

"I asked you to let me go for reasons."I say

"Where is he?"He asks

"He was in a meeting but will be looking for me where you grabbed me from, so can I go back before he gets upset?"I say

"Aww, but I don't meet nice people often. And I am a lone wolf.....So....."He says

I frown.

"Please let me go."I say

"Maybe a little while later."He says

I hear wings flap.

"Love? Encre? Love! Where are you? Are you okay?"I hear a voice say

I get up quickly, hearing Fallacy call for me.

The wolf grabs me.

"No, don't go."He says

"I really wanna go! Maybe hang out some other times if you're lonely. I'm Encre."I say

"No.....Spend time now! Before you go! You're MY friend now!"He says, shoving me into the den

"Ahem."A voice says

I look up. There is Fallacy.

The werewolf's tail goes between his legs. He turns, looking at him. He looks anything but happy. Fallacy steps closer and closer to him. Fallacy frowns, his fists clenched tightly. He leans slightly to his right, looking at me. His face goes grim and I get back to my feet.

He looks at the werewolf.

"Give me Encre back right now and we won't have any problems."He says

"Wow, you're protective."The werewolf says

"Yes, that's why I'm the one to keep my love safe."Fallacy says

The werewolf glances at me. He lifts me head up with his tail.

"Aww, so my new play pal is your love? You hear that, pal?"He says

My face burns a bit. The wolf holds me back with a claw.

"Ya, play pal number seven. I don't trust you, so let him out!"Fallacy snaps

I get uneasy. I had a bad feeling about the other seven.

The werewolf realizes how serious he is. He steps aside.

"Encre!"He exclaims

"Fallacy!"I cheer

I run to him excitedly. He opens his arms and he embraces me in a hug. 

"I got you, love. You're safe. I'm here to protect you. You will be okay no matter what. I'll make sure of it."He says

Then, he picks me up and soars back the way he came, holding me in his arms. I hug him close and he smiles. We go back inside, landing in his, er, our room. He lays me in bed and joins me. He holds me close.

I smile, holding him right back.

A few days later, I see the half moon rise. Time to see Azure and Rufous. Fallacy is preparing me while he prepares for ANOTHER meeting. He takes me outside and wraps a scarf around my neck.

"Now remember, love. Be back before sunrise or I will get worried. Don't trust anyone in this forest that aren't us or your friends. And if someone gives you trouble, yell for me or show the mark to scare them off. I will be there ASAP."He says

"Yes, Fallacy."I say with a smile

He makes sure I am bundled up in the scarf.

"And if all else fails or you can't shout for me, drop this from your pocket. Then, I'll do everything I can to help you."He says, slipping something into my pocket

"Alright. Thank you Fallacy. Just one question...."I say

"What is it, Love?"He asks

"What are you talking about in this meeting?"I ask

"Ummmm......Something about rumors that they've heard from hunters in attacks and such."He says

"Ah, alright."I say

He kisses me on the head.

"See you soon, love."He says

"See you then!"I say

I stroll through the forest to a tree marked A.R.E. I sit against it, waiting. I'm always early with these visits. But never long on my own.

Rufous comes with Azure and they both hug me.

"Encre! So good to see you and that you're okay!"Azure cheers

"He kept getting worried about you."Rufous says

"You did too!"Azure objects

"Fair point."Rufous chuckles

"Good to see you both are okay as well. What's new with you guys?"I ask

"We successfully rebelled against King Asgore with the village! He agreed to spare your life! And allow you to return to the village whenever you want!"Azure says

"Though I still don't trust him. He seems to have another plan."Rufous says

Azure sighs, but does not speak against his point. We sit together under the tree. They tell me what's been happening with them, either sounding happy or constantly ticked off.

"Now, what's new with you?"Rufous asks

"Emm......Things have happened, that's for sure."I say

I'm unsure of what I can tell them without causing them worry.

"How about you start where it began?"Rufous says

"I'm surprised you've survived on your own ever since they ditched you in that storm."Azure says

Rufous looks at me with a small grin.

"On his own is an understatement. He has made some new friends."Rufous says

"Heh, ya. I haven't exactly survived on my own ever since that storm, but with new friends."I say

"How'd you manage to make friends that won't kill you in the Forbidden Forest?"He asks

"You never know where a little kindness can go. Before I got ditched, Externa had me stay up as the guard or something. I was sketching what I saw and then a little bat joined me. I drew it and protected it from Externa. Then when they ditched me, a tree fell on me in the storm. That bat turned out to be a vampire named Jasper and he saved me in return. He even got his father to let me stay, though now we're all friends and it seems his father or he doesn't want me to ever leave."I explain

"Woah, well you are very nice! What happened in between now and then?"Azure asks

"Well, their friend Suave taught me English. I had fun spending time with them and let's just say we've been protecting each other since not everyone is nice in this forest. Externa and Simon attacked Jasper and a little girl, but I tried to protect them. They escaped but Externa did leave. Jasper's father saved me but then got attacked as well. I shielded him from the attacks, one being an experimental chemical of Simon's that left me stuck as a statue for at least a month. And I had a talk with my so-called parents before I got freed. And later my parents attacked me but Jasper's father and my grandparents defended me. My own parents tried dealing me to a dark spirit so that was a whole other issue."I explain

I left out the bite incidents since Azure will go nuts about that. Plus Fallacy's name since Azure will not be as likely to trust my new friends since he is known to be a "bad monster".

"What happened with your parents anyway?"Rufous asks

"That's....another story for another time."I say

Azure roughly jabs his elbow into Rufous, noticing how sensitive the topic is.

"Continue."He says

"That's when you two took my friend Suave and I back to the village. Suave's the one who taught me English. You met him."I say

"That's not the only one I met.....Still sorry about hurting them."Rufous says

"It's alright."I say

Azure looks at him confusedly.

"Since you're with vampires, have you met other vampires?"Azure asks

"Yes, I've met a nice one named Poussière and had to get cured from the venom of Horror's bites a while back."I say

"Those are members of their council! There is nothing nice about them!"Azure says

"Not that you know of, at least. They are nice, unlike the rumors in the village. They are just like any other monster. There is no clear line between good and bad, Azure. We are all flawed and have good things about us too. It's just that others don't look for the good in them."I say

"Can I see that scarf?"Rufous asks

I was hesitant. That would reveal my mark. They seem fearful enough of my friends, this mark may set them off.

But Rufous, impatient as always, got up and started to take the scarf off of me. He looks at my neck, then at me.

"Oh my stars......Azure! A vampire bit him!"Rufous says

"What?!"Azure says

"Look!"He says, pointing to my neck's mark

I take my scarf back, putting it back on properly.

"Guys! Relax! It's nothing bad! It's just a mark!"I say

"What the hell does that mean?!"They say

"From what he said, it's basically a mark to keep other vampires away or he will deal with them."I say

"So basically owning you?"Azure says

"I would rather this than other vampires trying to kill me."I say

"And who is this he?"Azure asks

"Jasper's father."I say simply

Rufous shrugs.

"If you're okay with it, so am I."He says

I hear heavy wing flaps. I know that sound very well now.

"I hear a vampire nearby!"Azure says, taking a sword out

"We are in a Forbidden Forest, Azure. There's bound to be vampires."Rufous says casually

I glance up and see some familiar eyes in the sky. I smile. 

"How are you so calm Encre?"Azure asks

"I have been in this forest for a while."I say

"Aren't you scared of the bad monsters?"He asks

"Not all of them are bad."I reply

I feel an arm wrap around me. Another holds my hand.

"Hello, Encre. Enjoying the night?"Fallacy says

I look at him and nod.

"How was your meeting going?"I ask

"Ah, just a repeat of yesterday's. Very boring so while they were arguing I snook out."He says with a wink

I chuckle a bit.

"Always gotta check on you, mon adorable ami."He says

(My adorable friend.)

My face warms up a bit.

"Encre, what are you doing?"Azure asks

"He's enjoying himself with his friend."Rufous says

"Oh right! You must be Azure! How rude of me! I'm Fallacy!"Fallacy says

"Ya, hi. Aren't you one of the most dangerous vampires?"Azure says, his sword pointed

"Sure am. And that's why nobody will ever hurt our friend Encre here, not with my mark on him."He says

"You're the one who bit him?!"Azure says

"Sup, Fallacy. Thanks for keeping Encre safe."Rufous says

"My pleasure."Fallacy says

"How are you calm about this, Rufous?!"Azure says

"Cause I met him and he WAS trying to keep Encre safe. He ain't so bad."Rufous says

"Azure, calm down. Fallacy's my friend."I say

"Dang right I am."Fallacy says, kissing me on the head

"And you marked him, showing ownership because...?"Azure says

"One of my council members had made the mistake of trying to hurt him, so I marked him to show that he's mine and not to try anything or I'll deal with them. And as their king, they don't exactly want me to deal with them."He says

"Oh, well.....I gues they're right about you then."Azure says

"And that is?"He asks

"Encre and Rufous say you aren't bad, so I guess you're not."Azure says

I smile.

"Yep, and may I say it is a pleasure to meet you, Azure."Fallacy says, extending his hand

Azure shakes it.

"Why is that?"He asks

"It's good to hear that there were at least some people defending Encre in the village. Encre told me about your friendship with him and how you'd keep him safe from some bad villagers."Fallacy says

"Oh! Well of course! I always look to do the right thing!"Azure says

"Fallacy you get back here right now!"A voice shouts

"Aww, they figured out I left. Pfft, they're getting better. Last time it took them another hour."He chuckles

Poussière lands beside me.

"Sorry to interrupt, Encre. But Fallacy here left an important meeting."He says

"One that went off track! One minute we're talking about forest conditions, next you all were debating on wether apples or tomatoes were better!"Fallacy says with a shake of his head

Poussière looks at Azure and Rufous. He smirks.

"Here's our dangerous king, sneaking away for the sixth time this week."He says

Rufous chuckles a bit at his dramatic gesture. Azure smirks. Poussière seems pleased that they reacted positively to his comments.

"And here's my council member, who debates every day if blueberries or the river are darker blues in meetings."Fallacy says

Rufous chuckles. Azure muffled a laugh.

"I'm guessing this is Poussière?"Rufous says

"Ah, so you've heard of me."Poussière says proudly

Rufous nods.

"You both must be his friends. Nice to meet you both."He says, shaking hands with them

They both smile.

"Now, don't mind me as I bring our king back to the meeting."Poussière says

"What are you debating now? Green beans or green apples being greener?"Fallacy chuckles

"You'll see."Poussière says

"See you later, Encre!"Fallacy says as he is dragged away by Poussière

I smile.

"I think someone is catching feels for their new friend."Rufous says

"Woah! Encre! Your eye changed!"Azure says

"What?"I say

"It was a heart when Fallacy was here!"Azure says

"Ah, it changes from time to time. Side-effect of the anti-venom."I say

"Ah, I see."They say

"Jinx!"Azure says

"Dang it."Rufous says

"We should head back before the village notices we're gone."Azure says

Then the two leave after saying goodbye and hugging me. I smile and start heading back the way I came. Two hands cover my eyes and mouth while another pair tie up my wrists behind my back out of nowhere. I panic and struggle as much as I could, but I realize I am outnumbered two to one. I could not yell, I could not run, I could not escape. And they had lowered my scarf, most likely seeing the mark but sounded happier finding that instead of scared. They tie my legs and start dragging me away by my bounded wrists.

Why am I so weak?

I shift and try to get the item once they dropped me to figure out where to go. I could not see them even though my eyes were no longer covered, but they did tie my scarf to keep me quiet. I feel something in my pocket. I grab it and pull it out. I drop it to my right. I glance at it. It's....a puppet. A wooden puppet. Interesting....They didn't seem to take much notice or care to the puppet. They drag me out of the forest and toss me into a wagon. The wagon was full of other skeletons. All tied up and bound like me. I reach up to my scarf and lower it.

"You guys also taken?"I ask

They nod. One lowers their gag.

"By King Asgore's command."He says

Oh great.

It was a long, bumpy ride. To the point where the forest was out of sight and it seemed we were riding in the middle of nowhere. I hold onto the scarf, feeling some sort of comfort with it. 

The wagon stops at sunrise. We all get loaded off and filed into a line. I see tall, stone walls with spikes at the top. Big gates were pulled open and closed again. I get glimpses of the inside. It looked like a prison camp. One by one, we were registered into it. I step up to be registered, not having much of a choice.

"I sense kindness and a good soul from this one, boss. But he is gay and weak, probably not strong enough to be a hunter."One of them say behind a desk while holding a hand to me

"Okay, he'll be a healer. What colors?"The boss says

"Red, yellow and blue."He says, winking at me

Those are my favorite colors.....for good reasons.

(Anyone wanna take a guess why?)

"I'm sure we can find clothes like that. Welcome to healer training, wimp."The boss says

Then I get forced inside. I get some clothes shoved onto me but I keep the scarf on with all the grip I could. They untie me and take me to a room full of other skeletons or monsters forced to be here. There was a monster that actually looked like a military general at the front of the room.

"Let us begin, wimpy recruits! You shall become the backbone to our hunters in our King Asgore's genius plan!"The general says

I know what this may mean.

No I won't. I will be the weak link that breaks this plan. And they are giving me info or resources to do it.

I notice multiple things in the rooms that might be useful or useless. There was literally a sign pointing out all the hunter's weak spots on a wall that I was able to memorize. They inject us with something and begin learning healing magic.

For weeks I had to go to these training sessions and sleep in bunkers. Each bunker would be divided and blocked off. Once someone laid in them, glass walls block them in with bricks on the other side. Really makes you feel isolated and alone.

They all had different healing methods. We had to train using plants. I learned that putting the wounded plant to my chest unlocked the healing power. Then one day I got assigned to a hunter in training. And apparently these clothes have a mark for gays. It has GH on the sleeve, which is the camp's mark for GAY HEALER. All because that entrance dude said so.

And boy, did I get an idiot.

"Hey there! I see you're gay! So are you gay for me? We could go to my bunker and have fun."He says

Oh, that really pissed me off. I never said I was gay and this guy is misunderstanding it on a whole other level.

He keeps talking, flirting and really ticking me off.

"I was assigned to be your healer, not your practice dummy for bad flirting tactics."I say, slapping his hand off of me

"Ooh, harsh. But I thought you were a kind soul."He says

"For those who are nice to me."I say

"Aren't I nice?"He asks

"More like a pain."I say

"Hmph."He says, shoving me

"I'll remember that."I say

"Your assignment is to heal your hunter as they fight each other."The captain says

They begin to fight and I sit with some lesbian and gay healers. We chat together and turns out we are all annoyed at the stupid hunters we were partnered with.

My hunter gets slammed to the ground, as well as the other hunters that they were partnered with. Some other hunters carry them over to us.

"I am not healing them."We say

"Makes sense, they are jerks."The hunters say

"Are you Encre?"One asks

"Yes, why?"I say

"I need to speak to you privately. This way."He says

I did not recognize him with his hood on or scarf to disguise his voice. I follow him to an empty bunker and go in. He lowers his hood.

"Suave!"I cheer, hugging him

"Hello, my friend. I noticed you didn't return but M'Lord Fallacy was still in a meeting so he didn't know. I went to find you and found the EMERGENCY PUPPET he told me about. I knew something bad must've occurred to you. I reported it to him and he has been looking for you for days now. Some hunters found me searching and took me too. I met the requirements to be a hunter apparently. It's so good to find you! Are you alright? Have they seen the mark? Bad things seem to happen here to those with vampire marks."He says

"Yes....Just really annoyed. I don't want to be on their side! They have something planned and since they are training VAMPIRE HUNTERS, surely that means something bad! They have not seen the mark. I never remove my scarf."I say

"Well, that's good to hear. M'Lords have been very worried about you. I-"He begins

The door creaks open. He hugs me close, his head by my neck.

"Oh! Sorry to interrupt. I just need Encre. Captain wants him."Another healer says

I realize what they think he's doing. My face burns a bit.

"Sorry. If they found us talking, we would be in trouble."Suave whispers

I nod. 

"Can I have him S2?"The healer asks

Suave reluctantly hands me over.

I get pulled into the biggest wooden cabin there is. I am lead down a long hall. Dozens of rooms in this hall had stuff labeled for vampires. VAMPIRE POSION, VAMPIRE KNIVES, VAMPIRE STAKES, VAMPIRE ARROWS, you name it, they got it to kill vampires. Oh I am so destroying these rooms. I get led into one, the healer leaving me with two captains who tossed me into a cage. I look around confusedly. They tie me up in the cage and then give multiple injections that overwhelmed me. Then they had some machine start up, filling the cage with a toxic-looking ooze or liquid. It quickly fills past my shoulders and the captains have a stone wall lift itself up to keep the liquid in with me. The chemicals were strong, knocking me out.

I appear in a forest. I look around. How? What? Suave! How'd I get here? Why the Forbidden Forest? Why now? How can I get back to break Suave out of there?

"Don't worry, grandson, it's just a dream. I'm just giving you some time to catch your breath. And I brought a special someone to speak to you. Nobody messes with my grandson! They are all getting the whacking cane!"A voice says

I look to see Grandma hovering there. She hugs me, then summons her cane.

"Grandma's gonna have some fun!"She says, then disappears

I look around confusedly. What do I do? Who'd she bring? What is going on?

I hear wings flap and look around. I see someone swoop down nearby. I sneak along the trees to get a closer look. I see Fallacy there. I smile.

"Now what did that grandmother set up now?"He wonders

I look to my shoulder and tear the mark from my sleeve. Then I sew it back up. Don't want that there. I keep stepping closer. He looks over.

"E-Encre?"He says

"Hey, Fallacy."I say

He leaps at me, hugging me

I hug him back. He kisses my neck, nuzzling his head on my shoulder.

"You're okay?"He asks

"As okay as I can be."I say

"First you go missing and then Suave! It's so good to see you! I will follow through with my word!"He says

"Suave is with me....Or near me."I say

"WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW?"He asks

(Me:-Flashbacks to undertale animation of:I'm at soup!-)

"Ummm, that's the problem. I am at some training camp with Suave."I say

"What do you mean you're at a training camp?!"He asks

"I mean that some vampire hunters planned something with King Asgore and took us to a camp to become healers or hunters."I say

He steps back.

"W-What are you?"He asks

"A healer. Though somehow Suave got assigned the hunter position."I say

"Okay....I am NEVER annoying him again."He says

I chuckle.

"I'm gonna come back with him. But I will destroy this place to keep you safe."I say

"But I am supposed to protect you!"He whines

"I know. But I am in the position where I can protect you. So I will."I say

"Love! Let me do my job."He says, pulling me close

"I am."I say

"Then stop looking so cute in those clothes and come home."He says

My soul beats faster.

"I've been trying to do that for weeks!"I say

He cups my cheeks in his hands.

"Then I will find you and get you myself.~"He says

"F-F-Fallacy?"I stutter

He leans in close, kissing me. I actually gave in, shutting my eyes. My face burns, but it feels so sweet. I love this. I love him. He pulls back, putting his hands on his hips.

"What did I say about being cute?"He asks

My face burns up.

"Quit it. You're becoming cuter. Or there will be consequences.~"He says smoothly

"W-What kind of consequences?"I ask

He winks at me with a grin.

"Disobey and you'll find out. Nevermind, I changed my mind. You're getting the consequences now."He says

He lowers my scarf to reveal my neck. I look up at him, curious yet nervous. He scoops me up and starts kissing my neck.

"M-Monsieur!"I yelp

"You earned it.~"He teases

I hide my face in my hands.

I hear screaming.

"RED ALERT! RED ALERT! HUNTER S2 HAS BROKEN OUT AND ESCAPED! RED ALERT!"The voice screams

"Suave..."I mutter

"Huh? What is it love?"Fallacy asks

"Aww, and we were just gonna send them to the ambush."Another says

What ambush?

"Do you hear something?"He asks

I look at him, full of fear.

"Why are you scared, love?"He asks

I could not answer. Because next there was an explosion that woke me up.

I land on the ground with fire all around. I look to see one captain bleeding with a stone in their head and chest while the other is stuck under the wall that was to trap me with the ooze. I stomp over to the one stuck under the stones. I see he is clutching onto some books.

"What are those books?"I ask

"Notes for this experiment. Obviously it worked!"He says

I take the books from him and toss them in the fire. The machines are burning already along with the syringes they used on me so that's taken care of.

"What ambush?"I ask

He goes silent.

I step on the stone he is stuck under, making him yell.

"What ambush?"I repeat

"The ambush on the vampires in the Forbidden Forest! King Asgore ordered us to do so when we see them! And we've seen the Vampire King flying on his own lately so we think now is the right time!"He says

Fallacy.

"You people are disgusting. They do nothing wrong and you call them the bad monsters."I say

"Aren't you gonna help me?"He asks

"You hurt me and plan on hurting others, so why should I?"I ask

He gives me the puppy eyes. It doesn't work.

"You are a monster."He snaps

"So are you."I say, tossing the two through a burning wall

They wanted rescue from a burning room, they got thrown out. Same thing. Same result. 

I take a burning piece of wood and carry it like a torch. I go around to all the rooms I saw before. I knock down the racks and shelves of these things, then gently put the torch to the floor, watching each room burn and destroy all these weapons. I made sure nobody were in the rooms, don't want to be a killer or bad monster like them. 

I walk out, tossing the torch away and innocently leave the place to burn. I hum a tune, looking around.

"S2 has successfully hijacked a wagon and left an hour ago!"A scream declares

Good job Suave. And good idea.

I go to meet with my healer buds. They are planning, trying to figure out how to escape too. They were taken here under suspicions of disobeying King Asgore and supporting the rebellion. I talk with them. Apparently they were into other monsters labeled bad in the Forbidden forest like werewolves, sirens, forest elves, etc. One was even into a giant or a smurf. They were quite accepting to me, though were uneasy until I said I was into a vampire.(Yes I admit it!) We begin to plan.

I walk over to where wagons are coming and going.

"Hey, can I hop on this wagon?"I ask

"Where to?"The driver asks, holding the reins

"The Forbidden Forest."I say

"Are you a hunter? Wait! You're that stupid healer that is said to be super weak! Get back to your bunker."He chuckles

I do not leave. This annoys him. He hits me with a key in his hand, grazing my face.

"Worthless numbskull."He says

Boy oh boy. I am getting REALLY SICK AND TIRED of hearing these things. And I don't have time for this.

I wipe my wound, seeing blood drizzle onto my hand.

I am done being the nice guy to these bad monsters. 

I'll show you weak.

I swim a punch, knocking him off the seat. He gets up and lunges at me. But I can see all the things he is gonna do ahead of time. It's like when drawing a flip animation, I can see his moves overlapping his current ones. 

COOL!

These people will regret experimenting on me.

I dodge quickly and use his own attacks against him. I aim for his weak spots that I memorized on the sign weeks before. It worked.

"Stop! Stop please!"He begs

"How's that for weak? Now can you take my buds and I to the Forbidden Forest?"I say

He looks at me and notices my shoulder. I look at it.

Dang it. Only in the dream I got that removed.

"Oh! You're gay! Aww, you being a little Tsundere and hitting on me? Literally? That's adorable."He says

I slap him.

"I'm not into you. I like good skeletons in the Forbidden Forest."I say

He comes closer, pulling me to him. He takes my hand, kissing it.

"Can't I make you love me?"He asks

"No, all you'll do is make me want to hurt you more."I say coldly

"Why?"He asks

"Cause you're nothing but annoying already. Gay does not mean first person who is a guy I see is a lover to me. Like any relationship, it's for reasons and takes time. But I don't have time. Can I go or not?"I say

"Please?"He asks

"You know what, we're just gonna go. Come on guys and gals!"I say, snatching the map from his pocket and taking the reins

My friends load into the wagon and the horses start running. One of them tore the sign on my sleeve and sewed it back up like they were all doing.

 The forest comes into sight and when we got close, we got off and set the horses free. We went in together and then they each left to make sure their "bad monsters" are okay.

 I head straight forward.

 Quickly I find dust or bloody unconscious bodies of hunters. I could hear violence in the distance and see silhouettes fighting. I run quickly towards them and glance around. Vampire hunters were everywhere! I could see members of the vampire council flying in the sky and trying to swoop down at the hunters while others were fighting on the ground. I could see nothing vampire hunters though, they were absolutely EVERYWHERE! They weren't kidding when they said an ambush.

But then I hear a scream. 

Jasper's scream.

And it was in pain.

"JASPER! I'm coming kiddo!"I shout

I run quickly and see him curled up in a ball, hugging a wounded Suave while they are surrounded by over 2 dozens of vampire hunters. I lift my hood, recognizing them as the hunters in training. If they recognize me, that could mean trouble.

"Hey!"I snap

They all look at me.

"Leave them alone!"I say

"Or what?"They say

"You'll have to get past me."I say

They chuckle arrogantly.

"Piece of cake."They say, surrounding me

They hold all kinds of weapons. I glance at them and see all their planned moves. Or unplanned moves since they aren't all that smart to plan. They charge at me but I dodge or grab them, flipping them. I could twist their weapons in on themselves. Or, if they try a two person or four person attack, I'd hop up or duck away, letting them do the damage to each other. Soon, I'm surrounded by hunters laying on the ground, too wounded to move.

"Cake sounds nice, but you're buying. Now, not to say I warned ya, but I did."I say

They all just groan.

"Heal us...."One groans

"Nope. I only heal good people. And you attacked the innocent, so that's not gonna happen."I say

Then I creep over all of them and stroll over to Jasper and Suave. Not a single wound on me. I kneel down to them. They are covered in wounds. 

"Let me help you both."I say

Jasper looks at me in amazement.

"That was awesome!"He cheers

"Thank you."I say

He shoves Suave to me. I hold him close.

"Bonjour, Suave. Good job escaping. Good to see you're okay."I whisper as I heal him

He looks at me in shock.

"What? What's wrong, Suave?"Jasper asks

"What in the world did they do to you?"Suave asks

"Experiments. Jasper, come here and let me heal you."I say

Jasper looks at me, obeying. I hold him close, sliding my hand across each wound with healing magic. He looks up at me.

"How do you know me? Who are you? And how the heck did you defeat them?"He asks

"I was able to see their moves ahead of time like a paper-flip animation that I taught you, Jasper."I say

He gasps, looking at me full of joy.

"Encre?!"He says

I lower my hood and scarf a bit.

(-Encre has returned to innocent nice bean mode-)

"Hey guys."I say

"You both have some explaining to do after we kick these hunters' butts!"He says

"Yes, M'Lord."Suave says

"Encre, you really came back! Does that mean you weren't scared of my father?"He asks

"What?"I say

"He shared a dream with you and before he woke up, you looked scared. He thought you were scared of him. Plus the hunters kept yelling that the painter has joined them. He thought you left us! And he was very heartbroken about it too."Jasper explains

"No! I heard an alarm about Suave's escape and the ambush plans! I got scared of them hurting you guys! I never joined them, they took me! I'd never join those bad monsters, Jasper. Now, where is your father?"I ask

He points up.

"They broke in and chased him."He says

I see Fallacy on a balcony, his wings cut and wounds all over him. I see hunters herding him out. Horror dove down, bucking in the air like a bull when a hunter leapt off the roof onto him, causing him to hit the railing and break it. The rail crumbled apart, leaving Fallacy only the edge to keep himself from falling.

"Father!"Jasper shouts

Fallacy looks over. Jasper points to me.

"He's back! He's on our side!"Jasper shouts

Fallacy looks at me and his eyes get a spark back in them. He starts to fight back.

"What's he gonna do? He's just a healer!"A hunter shouts

All the wounded hunters raise their heads.

"This is what."They say

The hunters actually look scared.

I whistle. I see my healer friends come, with their buds.

"Oh shit."The hunters say

They join the fight.

"You both go in and clear the place out of hunters. I'll help Fallacy."I say

"Yay! Causing trouble for others! One of my favorite things!"Jasper cheers

Suave sighs, shaking his head at Jasper.

The two go in to fight. I see more hunters come over to try and climb to stab Fallacy from behind.

"Oh no ya don't!"I snap, running over and handling them

"Holy shit!"A voice says

I look to see Horror pinning a hunter down and staring at me with 8 hunters laying at my feet.

"Hello, Horror."I say with a smirk

"Okaaaayy, I'm not giving you problems anymore!"He says in a tone that just told me he was shocked and freaked out

I nod.

"Good to hear."I say

He drags the hunters' bodies away. I start climbing up to help Fallacy, but he got knocked off and hit the ground hard.

"Fallacy!"I shout, dropping down and kneeling down to him.

 I shift his head into my lap and quickly try to help him, but he would not budge.

"Fallacy....."I say

He glances up at me.

He shakily raises his hand and puts it on my cheek.

"You really came back.....They said you left to join them......I thought I scared you off......Encre....."He says

"Of course I did! They're lying! I'd never leave you, Fallacy. I just got scared because I heard about an ambush! I wanted to keep you safe!"I say

"Do you hate me? Do you fear me?"He asks

"Pfft, Fallacy. You are not a stupid vampire hunter. I don't hate you, quite the opposite. I do not fear you, unless you mean you in danger."I say

He starts trying to sit up. I sense someone coming and punch them away without looking.

"What the?"Fallacy says, looking at me in shock

"Don't move too much or you'll hurt yourself."I say

"But I have to protect you, love. I have to keep my love safe."He says

"So do I, Fallacy. So let me protect you."I say

His face burns up for a moment.

I hold his hand on my cheek, my other hand on his head.

"What can I do to help you then, Love?"He asks

"Just listen to the melody..."I say

I didn't have to say another word. His head hops to my chest. My soul pounds a bit faster.

"Ah yes, my favorite melody."He says softly

My face burns up.

"F-Fallacy...."I say softly

"Scared?"He asks

"N-No...."I say

"You look magnificent with that rainbow again."He says

I feel my face burn even more.

"Let me keep mon amour safe! Let me heal you!"I say

He's distracting me...>////<

He nods, nuzzling my chest.

"Love you."He says

I sigh and focus.

Heal him....Focus.....Heal him.

Soon, he sits up, healed again. He glances around before smiling at me. He hugs me close. I look at him, but see hunters closing in. I slip out of his hold.

"Let's do whatever after these idiots are gone!"I say, twisting a hunter's knife back on them, stabbing themselves in the leg

"Right!"He says, getting to his feet

"And, uh, what do we do about the nutty lady?"Horror asks

We look at him confusedly.

THWACK!

"OW!"He shouts after a cane whacks him on the head

"Respect your elders, boy! I'm in a whacking mood, meaning I'm gonna whack some idiots! Now where in tarnation are thos hunters hiding?"A familiar voice says

"Grandma?"I say

She looks at me.

"Hello, Grandson! So good to see you're okay! Mind helping me? I'm after a bunch of idiots."She says

"You're back?"I say

"Course I am! Life can't ever get rid of me! Father Time can try and try, but I never stay gone for long! I have some connections up in the light place due to what I've seen in the past. Now, I wanna whack some skulls!"She says

"What's her life expectancy?"Horror asks

He gets whacked again.

"Boy, have some respect! Can't a lil ol' lady like me live life and whack idiots in peace?"She says

"Some hunters are that way."I say

"Yes! It's whacking time! Gramma's gonna have some fun!"She says, running off waving her cane

"Your family is....interesting."Horror says, then takes to the skies

Fallacy looks at me and shrugs.

"Not saying I didn't expect that from her."He says

We fight until there are no hunters left to fight. Either fled or too wounded to do anything. Horror handled the dead ones. Granny enjoyed her makeshift game of Whack a Mole. She comes waddling over to me and hugs me. Then she looks at Fallacy.

"So, you're his amour, huh?"She says

"Y-yes."Fallacy says, raising his hands to his head defensively

She circles him, poking him with her cane a few times. She looks at him, narrowing her eyes.

"How cute do you find him now?"She asks

My face burns up a bit.

"Gramma! This isn't how Grandpa says your parents quizzed him!"I say

"Exactly. And look where that went. He failed it but we are happy. And what do my parents know? They're dead from walking into trees covered in poison ivy that they thought were four leaf clovers."She says

"W-Where'd this come from?"Fallacy asks

"Well I thought you'd feel somewhat more attracted to my Grandson since he is wearing the colors of your eyes."She says

He looks at me, making that realization. He smiles. My soul beats faster.

"These are the clothes they gave me!"I object

"Yes, of your favorite colors."She reasons

My face burns. I raise my hood to hide my burning face.

"Gramma!"I whimper from embarrassment

"And yes, he loves your eyes, Fallacy. Quit your internal squeals."She says

I look at Fallacy.

His face becomes really yellow.

"Now answer the question young man!"She says

Fallacy walks closer to me. He leans closer, smiling.

"Th-!"He begins, but a cane redirects his head

"Face at me when we're talking! Manners!"She snaps

"I think he is looking very adorable. One of his cutest moments. 12 out of ten. But then there's how smart, kind, artistic, and open-minded he is."He says, glancing at me

My soul races. I lift my scarf up and squeal in my head.

"Okay, ya passed. I give you my blessing."She says

"Wait what?"He says

"You pass. You can have my grandson. Just don't try anything stupid or you get the cane. Now where in the world is that mischievious little boy? Jasper was his name, right?"She says

"You called?"Jasper says

"Hello, kiddo. Mind showing lil ol me your nice little tricks of mischief?"She says

"Are you Encre's grandma?"He asks

"Yep."She says

"Gladly!"He says

I hear them run inside.

I lower the scarf and jump a bit when I find Fallacy leaning over to make eye contact with me. He smirks.

"Hello, love.~"He says

"H-Hello."I say

"I guess it's good that I passed?"He says

"Ya, she pop-quizzed two other people and they failed so they got whacked out with her cane."I say

"Oh.....Did you-?"He begins

"I did not have crushes on them. I was eight and ten when they came along and it only was when I was at her house, before you ask. They were more of stalkers and she took care of them."I  say

He smiles.

"Well I'm glad to be the lucky one then. Because that means there are no competitors and I have you all to myself.~"He says, scooping me up

"F-Fallacy!"I yelp

He flies back up to the balcony, goes inside and into our room. He shuts the door, trying to lock it. Then he comes and lays over me, smiling.

"I have a feeling to do whatever to you."He says

My soul pounds. He removes my scarf, lowers my hood, then opens my healer robe? Ya, robe, it looked like a wizard robe or something. He leans in, kissing his way down my neck and shoulders. My face feels like it's melting.

"F-F-Fallacy....."I say softly

He holds my soul, caressing it.

"My love is safe. And that's what matters."He says

He smiles.

"Ahh....haa....M-Monsieur, g-g-gentle."I say, trying to remain calm and control my breathing

"Oh, I'll be gentle. Now come here."He says, pulling me close

I hold him and feel him keep kissing my neck. My face burns.

"M.....My love......P-Please...."I say quietly

He nuzzles my head.

"I didn't hear you. Did you say something? You're so quiet."He says

"I.....I wanna sleep."I sigh

He nods. 

"Just one question. When did my eyes become a favorite of yours?"He asks

"Whenever I see you smile."I say

He smiles and nods. He gives me a shirt to wear and I put it on. He holds me close and falls asleep. I lay there with a burning face and racing soul. I try to figure out what happened. Or what's going on. 

What was that all for? D-Does he like me the way I do for him? No, no......I'm just a painter. Why would he, the king of vampires, fall for me of all people? All his compliments and calling me love but also just his friend are signals....Mixed.....And he does watch over me a lot...."I have you all to myself" and "I have to keep my love safe"?.......He's just protective.....Yeah. He's just messing with me....Isn't he?

I shake my head to get out of my thoughts. I'm worried over nothing, aren't I? I just take some breaths and doze off. He pulls me closer sleepily, as if knowing this.

We're safe....What will happen from here?
