Chapter 22

Ethan's POV

The clank of metal rang around me as the guys worked along side me on the jaguar. Except it was hard to concentrate on the car with the distraction a few feet away.

Aidan convinced Lily to help him fix the back room clock which was perfectly fine before Aidan decided to pop it open.

They were sitting at the small wooden table in the corner with clock gears laid out in front of them. Aidan handed Lily the cuckoo bird as he began tweaking the inside. Lily giggled and wiggled the yellow bird her caramel eyes bright with happiness.

I was right about Aidan and Lily being good together. Neither one has looked this happy in a while, both had similar mom issues although the details were different.

Lily wiggled the bird in front of Aidan and said something that made him laugh loudly. Lily's face brightened her full rosy red lips spreading into a rare smile.

She is beautiful beyond words. From her light tan skin to her thick dark mane that was tied back into a ponytail. Not to mention her sexy full figure.

Lily swiped a stray strand away from her face her eyes lifting to meet mine.

She sunk her teeth into her bottom lip as she looked at me with those innocent brown eyes. If it weren't for the guys I would have had her wrapped in my arms right now. Those soft lips on mine to hear her moan my name like in the hallway.

I'm not sure what possessed me to kiss her but I'm glad I did. She smiled and I returned it with a warm smile of my own.

"Making googly eyes with the boss's daughter are we?"

Jack startled me, he was standing beside me smiling in his son's direction. Lily quickly averted her eyes to the bird her cheeks pink.

I opened my mouth to come up with an excuse when Jack laughed and slapped my back.

"Relax I won't tell anyone although you kids make it obvious." he laughed still looking at Lily

I let out a breath of relief. Lily and I hadn't discussed when we're going to come out as a couple. I've spent too many years and sleepless nights for our relationship to be in the shadows.

Lily is my girl and I want everyone to know it. My girl. I like the sound of that.

"How long has it been?" he asked looking down to me

I saw one of the guys look up than quickly look down. No doubt he'll be listening now. Jack noticed the worker too, he stepped away from the car as did I.

Shoving my hands in my overalls I tried to keep the smile off my face.

"Since this afternoon."

"Took you long enough." he mumbled looking back at Lily

She was standing hunched over the table holding down a piece as Aidan screwed a small screw in. Lily had her butt towards us forgetting there was a hand full of men here.

I couldn't help but let my eyes drop to her butt remembering those sexy panties. Oh crap I'm being a pervert.

"Aidan has never smiled so much." he said sadly

I looked over at him. Jack's mouth was pulled downwards as he watched his son with sad eyes. Aidan giggled as they struggled to keep the pieces down.

"Does he talk to you?" I asked

Jack smiled a sad smile and shook his head. His blue eyes moistened. Aidan is still pulling back except when around Lily.

Jack took a deep breath forcing a laugh.

"He isn't pushing kids into walls anymore which I must say is a huge relief."

I couldn't help but smile. Yeah Aidan is that kid.

"Okay you screw the back on." Lily said as she held the dark plastic piece down

Her hair fell of her face giving her innocent face a sexy older look. Aidan came around to screw the back on when everything came shooting out.

Lily looked at Aidan before they both bursted into laughter.

"That was cool." Aidan said in between breaths

"What if we use those long toothpicks to hold the springs down?" Aidan added

Lily furrowed her brows thinking about it. "I'll see if they have shish kabob sticks in the back." she said

Her small heeled boots clacked against the tiled floor as she walked away with all eyes on her. Damn she needs to stop creating attention towards herself.

Wait she is going to the employee room where it's empty. The corners of my mouth lifted.

"See ya Jack." I said patting his shoulder and taking off after Lily

When I was almost an earshot away I heard Jack mumble 'poor kid is hooked.' And damn proud of it, I added mentally.

Lily's POV

Standing up on my tippy toes I searched the cabinet above the sink for the shish kabob sticks. With the tips of my fingers I felt around for them.

Where could they be? As I was closing the cabinet the employee door squeaked open. It was when I heard a male groan that I realized my shirt had ridden up and because of the sink my butt was poking out.

My cheeks flared as I stepped down and pulled my shirt over my exposed skin. Turning around I saw Ethan walking over to me a dark look in his eyes that I recognized as lust.

"Hi." I smiled when we were face to face

"Hey." he replied before cupping my face in his large hand

His lips brushed against mine gently like I might break. The soft gesture made my heart flutter. I pressed my lips to his eagerly, Ethan got the hint. His lips moved urgently against mine as his hands slid to my waist pressing my chest against his.

That's more like it. My hands went up around his neck as I stood on my toes so he didn't have to bend so much. Ethan chuckled against my mouth.

His hands went down to my butt causing me to yelp in surprise. I felt him smile against my lips as he lifted me onto the counter.

Hmmm that was kinda hot. My hands ran down to his back rubbing slightly before returning to his shoulders. Ethan stepped between my legs but left room between us.

I bit his bottom lip earning a throaty moan that sent waves of desire through out my body. My legs wrapped around his waist pulling him closer.

A gasp escaped my lips as I felt the large bulge against my abdominal Ethan pulled back his cheeks a light pink.

"Sorry you have that effect on me." he said sheepishly as he took a step back

Crossing my ankles together I pulled him closer. Ethan seemed surprised at my sudden boldness as was I. This much touching would freak me out normally but I felt fine. In fact I wanted more.

This was probably due to my whacked out teen hormones but this felt really good.

"Are you sure?" Ethan asked

His eyes were searching my face for any sign of uncertainty. My heart melted at his concern for my comfort when it was obvious he wanted this and more.

Leaning forward I placed a soft kiss on his squared jaw enjoying how he shivered. That should answer his question. I kissed down his neck biting him gently below his ear.

Ethan moaned his hands tightening on my waist. I couldn't help but grin at his response, it felt good to be in control.

Lifting my mouth up to his I captured his mouth with mine but my control was gone as Ethan dominated the kiss.

He slipped his tongue between my lips as I tried catching my breath. His tongue massaged mine causing me to whimper in delight.

The sound seemed to encourage Ethan as his tongue continued to massage the inside of my mouth. I trembled in his arms at the intensity of his tongue and the sweet tangy taste of his mouth.

My body was on fire as I melted into his arms at the pleasure he was giving me. I couldn't help but moan as his tongue flicked mine.

This was too much. This burning feeling I never felt before. The need to have him in ways I have never thought of. These feelings scared me. I pulled away panting for air.

Ethan was also panting as he lowered his head into my neck. His nose rubbed along my collarbone as his warm breath fanned my skin.

"I got carried away." he mumbled to himself sounding a little angry

I ran my fingers through his soft hair letting my nails skim gently over his scalp like he did to me when I was on the swings.

"We were both caught up in the moment. It's no one's fault." I said placing a kiss on his cheek to assure him

As much as I rather not think about it Ethan has been with other girls. Girls that have experience while the farthest I've gone was with Ethan four years ago. He is experienced too and maybe won't mind taking baby steps.

I like Ethan a lot but I am still not comfortable with the feelings he stirs up in me.

"I'm sorry Lily." he said raising his head

His emerald eyes held a hint of sadness in the midst of the cloud of desire. Ethan lifted his hand up to my face his thumb brushing my bottom lip.

His face was pinched in anger towards himself. I cradled his face in my hands lifting his sad eyes to mine.

"Don't." I whispered with a smile

Ethan smiled weakly a look of pain still on his face.

"So are we umm exclusive?" I asked changing the subject

"Yes." he said immediately

Biting my lip I managed not to smile. That was my only concern. I lifted my hands back up to his hair, running my fingers through it.

It's like silk. Turning my head to the side I examined his hair brushed to the side. He still looks good.

"Can you ever look ugly?" I huffed

Ethan chuckled and pulled my hands down to his mouth. He kissed my palm keeping his eyes on me. That was hot.

I licked my dry lips forcing the naughty thoughts away. Wait we're at the garage! Ethan trailed kisses up my arm to my neck.

He is going to be the death of me. I bit my bottom lip as he pressed his moist lips to my sweet spot.

"What if someone walks in?" I said breathlessly

With a groan he pulled away slightly. "Than we should come out now that way we're free to be a couple."

He wants to tell them now?! Ethan stepped away, panicking I jumped down and grabbed his arm. Ethan stared at me puzzled.

With all this crazy 'slut' talk I'm sure the rumors would drive us apart not to mention my dad is his boss. We should have a firm foundation so we can make it through anything.

"You don't want people to know we're together?" he asked sounding hurt

Guilt washed over me. I shook my head entwining her fingers.

"No, I want us to get comfortable together before we go public." I said pleading with my eyes

He turned his mouth to the side his brows furrowed together. I could see the disappointment clear in his eyes. Bringing his hand up to my mouth I kissed his knuckles wanting to wipe the sadness from his eyes.

Ethan sighed and nodded. Standing on my toes I pecked his lips quickly pulling before we got further.

"Thank you."

"I wanted everyone to known that your mine." he said rubbing my arms gently

My face softened, can he get anymore cute. I wrapped my arms around his waist hugging him tightly.

"And I can't imagine being with anyone else." I admitted honestly

Ethan held me close placing a kiss to the top of my head. I really hit the jackpot. Snuggling into his chest I barely heard the door opening.

"Hey love birds Jake is coming." Jack whispered before walking back out

Pulling away from Ethan I gave him a puzzled look. He smiled "Yeah he figured it out but don't worry he already promised to keep quiet."

I relaxed against him, Jake! With a quick peck on his cheek I ran out barely missing Jake.

That was close.

Entering the house I tossed my keys onto the table by the door. Jack dropped me off since Jake was staying late with dad.

It was weird Jake was ushering me out when dad came out of nowhere and told Jake to 'get back to work.' I don't know what got into him but Ethan promised to keep the peace.

The corners of my mouth turned up into a smile. I can't believe we are together whether people knew it or not. My insides fluttered at the hot kisses we have shared today.

Racing upstairs I bit my lip trying not to squeak in delight. I could not be any happier!

I stopped in front of my door my happy mood disappearing at the sight before me.

Crouching by my drawer was Annabelle balling and shoving the red tee Melissa wore the day Nick, Rachel and Ethan came over. Puzzled I stepped forward into my room.

"What are you doing?" I asked

She snapped her head up her face draining of color. Standing up she flashed me a innocent smile that was anything but.

"I was just putting away your clothes."

Annabelle tried side stepping out of my room when I blocked her. Her lips pressed together as her nose flared.

"Melissa wore that." I pointed to the closed drawer

She nodded trying to keep her smile up. The corners of her mouth twitched as her eyes darted back to the drawer.

"That explains why it was on the floor." she laughed

I didn't laugh with her in fact her explanation sounded odd to me. My gut told me something was up. But what am I going to say 'I have a gut feeling your up to no good.'

Forcing a smile I stepped out of her way.

"Well dinner will be ready in ten minutes." she said as she slipped out of my room

Waiting till I heard her heels click as she went down stairs I ran to the drawer and pulled out the shirt.

It looked normal, I thought as I turned it around. Raising the shirt up to my face I sniffed it.

The strong smell of alcohol hit my nostrils causing me to wrinkle my nose in disgust.

Looks like Melissa found her own fun when she left our little party. But why would Annabelle put it in my drawer?

She knew about Melissa's partying so the smell should be no surprise. Standing up I tossed the shirt into the hamper.

Something is definitely not right.
