EP.83|I’ll Get You Back. I Swear!

“Courtly! Courtly!” Milton yelled. “You know, you shouldn’t be yelling in a hall like that Milton.” A familiar voice reminded him. “Lucifer…I thought I turned you into swiss cheese.” Milton growled. “Looks like you didn’t do a good job.” Lucifer smirked, holding a knife to Courtly’s neck. “Get away from her!” Milton yelled.

“Milton. Milton. Milton. I always thought you were on my side, but just like last time you let her turn you!” Lucifer trailed the knife down to her chest.

“You fell for the same tricks as last time. Honestly, you just as weak as your brother!” Lucifer cackled. “Don't underestimate my family!” Milton yelled. “I don't understand what so good about Courtly.”

“Is it her chest? Her face? Her beauty? Her personality? What is it Milton? Huh?” Lucifer asked. “It’s not just her beauty! Yeah she hot as all fucking hell but she’s the strongest, kindness, most amazing girl in this universe and the past one!”

“Don't act like you don't feel the same way for someone! Oh, what’s her name…-” “DON'T BRING HER INTO THIS!!!” Lucifer roared.

“I knew that tick you off.” Milton smirked. “Let’s make it interesting, if you win, I’ll give Courtly back free of charge. You lose, she stays with me forever!” Lucifer cackled.

Milton looked into Courtly’s eyes that said “you-fucking-dumbass-if-you-agree-to-this-I’ll-kill-you!” Milton sighed. “Deal.” Milton sighed once more.

“Let’s go.”

Milton charged at Lucifer and tried to swing his sword, but Lucifer blocked with his own sword. Milton was sent backwards, while Lucifer was sent into the air.

While in the air, Lucifer fires two spirling beam blast of energy from his sword at Milton, who deflected them.

Milton jumped into the air, performed a flip and smashed his sword into the ground, causing a shock wave to go straight at Lucifer, who blocked the attack with his shield, but got launched back.

Milton charged at Lucifer both swinging at each other.

Milton quickly dashed forward towards Lucifer who blocks with his shield and on the last swing Lucifer rolls under Milton.

Lucifer charged his sword with his magic, making it glow.

When it finished charging, he lets go in a 360-degree slash at Milton, who was sent flying back. Milton fires multiple lighting shots at Lucifer, who runs and blocks them with his sword.

Then Lucifer jumped and performed another spin attack, deflecting the lighting shots. Milton jumped into the air and fired a huge lightning bolt at Lucifer from above.

Lucifer used his sword to absorb the thunder and as Milton landed, Lucifer fires a thunder-fueled skyward strike at Milton, who gets hit and was sent flying.

As Milton remained in the air, Lucifer takes his bow and arrow and fires arrows at Milton, who deflects them with his sword.

Milton landed and charges at Lucifer, who charges an arrow made of ice.

Once Milton is close enough, he fires it, freezing Milton, but thanks to Milton's superhuman body heat, he immediately thaws out.

Milton charges at Lucifer and swings, but Lucifer dodged and throws a boomerang, leaving him defenseless for a moment and allowing Milton to deliver a series of sword strikes on him.

Milton then proceeded to use his abilities and Lucifer attempts to counter with his sword.

Milton eventually performs a mighty upswing, knocking the sword out of Lucifer's hands and forcing him to hide behind his shield.

Milton delivers blow after blow on Lucifer's shield.

Then the boomerang from earlier comes back and hits Milton, stunning him for a few seconds. Lucifer retrieves his sword.

Lucifer then swings at Milton, sending him flying. In the air, Milton uses his fire abilities and fires a few shots at Lucifer.

Lucifer puts on boots with pegasus wings on them, they begins to increase his speed, and runs with his shield outstretched.

Dodging the fire, Lucifer stops and runs up a pillar. Lucifer launches himself at Milton, striking him with another spin attack.

Lucifer lands on a platform above the ground, while Milton lands on a small ring on a pillar. Milton then summoned meteors from above, sending them at Lucifer.

“Stars, rain down!” Milton yelled. Lucifer uses his shield and blocks every meteor.

While Lucifer is distracted blocking the meteors, Milton charges and strikes Lucifer with his sword, sending Lucifer into the air.

“This ends here!” Milton’s sword separated into its individual components, and attacking Lucifer once with each sword on Lucifer, who manages to block the majority of the attack with his shield.

Once Milton goes for the final strike, Lucifer executes a well-placed sword swing, striking Milton in the middle of the final blow and causing him to slam into the ground.

As Milton falls to the ground on his knee, succumbing to his wound, Lucifer throws a flurry of bombs.

The bombs explode, sending Milton flying in the air, Lucifer performs the fatal blow, piercing through Milton.

Lucifer lands with his sword buried into the ground as Milton's almost lifeless body falls shortly after. Lucifer then gets up and walks away.

“I told you I would make sure you die.” Lucifer smirked.

“Since I’m a good person-” “When… are you… ever… a good person?” “I’ll let you say goodbye to you Courtly.” Lucifer threw Courtly towards him as she quickly rushed to his side. “My gods...why did you agree to that.” Courtly sighed.

“Cause I love you, idiot.” Milton chuckled as Courtly healed him. “I love you too, but you knew you couldn't win.” Courtly shook her head and sighed. “I know, but, I wasn’t gonna lose you.” Milton rested his hand on Courtly’s cheek. Courtly began crying a little.

“Hey, don't cry. You know I hate it when you cry.” Milton said tenderly. “I know, b-but, you…” Milton kissed Courtly softly before she could say anything else. “I’ll be fine. I promise you Courtly, I’m gonna get you back.” Milton promised.

“You know, Swan would be jumping for joy to see us together.” Courtly chuckled. “True. She always did like us together.” Milton chuckled also.

“She trusted me to keep them safe. But but I lost everything...she’s probably looking down on me in shame right now.” Courtly sighed.

“You know she isn't, stop putting so much blame on yourself.” Milton smiled weakly as they kissed again.

“Never forget me, Milton.” Courtly muttered thru the kiss.

“If I didn’t forget you in the last life, why would I now?” Milton said as Courtly looked into his eyes. She knew after tonight she wouldn't see those eyes for a long time.

“Okay, enough talking. Time to go, Courtly.” Lucifer yanked Courtly by the hair, pulling her away. “Let her go!” Milton tried get up but Lucifer stomped on his ribs, pushing him down to the ground.

“Remember Milton, we had a deal. You lost, so Courtly come with me.” Lucifer reminded him slyly.

Milton felt his vision fading, the last thing he saw was Courtly’s ocean blue eyes filled with sadness and regret.
