EP.68|The Wedding Ceremony (PART 1)
EP.68|The Wedding Ceremony (PART 1)
After weeks of rescheduling and planning, Mal and Ben wedding day finally arrived. “Mal, wake up.” Ben whispered making Mal smile.
“Morning, sweetie.” Mal yawned, rubbing her eyes. “Guess what day it is?” Ben asked excitedly. “August 4th.” Mal smile grew as Ben swooped her up, carrying her bridal style.
“We’re getting married today!” Ben cheered. “Hopefully, nothing crazy will happen today.” Mal crossed her fingers.
“Nothing will, Courtly’s putting a protective barrier over the chapel as we speak.” Ben leaned in to kiss Mal’s forehead but Mal put her finger over his lips. “Not till they say you may kiss the bride.” Mal reminded him. “But we kissed in the infirmary. How come we can’t kiss now?” Ben pouted.
“The infirmary was a one time thing. No more kissing till the officiant says you may kiss the bride.” Mal tapped his nose. “Fine…” Ben groaned.
Courtly walked down to the basement of the school. Courtly looked at her hand to see it was spreading to the point where half of her lower arm was half-way faded.
“This is the only way.” she mumbled to herself as she reached a pair of steel doors with a touchpad on the left side of the door.
Courtly pressed her hand on the touchpad as it scanned it. The doors opened revealing Milton sitting in a large plexiglass box with four guards on the sides of the box. Courtly nodded at the guards as the box opened, allowing Courtly to step in.
“Why if it isn't Courtly Jester.” Milton smirked, his wrist in the metal handcuffs that bounded him to the steel table. “Hello Milton.” Courtly greeted as she sat across from him.
“Coffee?” Milton asked as he snapped his fingers making two cups of coffee appear. “What, no sugar?” Courtly raised her eyebrow.
“Ah yes, how can I forget.” Milton chuckled as he made a small cloud, making the sugar trickle down onto Courtly’s coffee. “So, what do I owe the honor of having you hear today?” Milton sipped his coffee.
“Well, I think you know.” Courtly glared at him. “Yes, but I just love it when you glare at me.” Milton growled. “Ugh, to toy with me.” Courtly groaned in disgust. “But in all seriousness, what is the reason you graced me with your presence today?”
Courtly took off her glove and showed Milton her arm. “Fix it.” She demanded. “Pushey.” Milton scoffed. “I said fix it, Milton.” Courtly growled.
“Courtly, this isn't my fault.” Milton chuckled. “Like hell it isn't! You did this to me! And got my children involved in it!” Courtly slammed her hands on the table.
“Not my fault your children are nosey.” Milton sipped his coffee, shrugging as though he didn’t care. “This is between me and you! Not Giles, and definitely not my children!” Courtly yells, her eyes filled with fire.
“You knew the consequences of what you did. You and Giles know what happens. It’s inevitable.” Milton reminded her. “Milton. Grimm. These children are my life. My pride and joy. You already destroyed me and Giles life, don't destroy theirs.” Courtly grimaced.
“It’s. Inevitable!” Milton slammed his hands on the table as well.
“You have me stuck like this forever! Let’s not even start on what you’ve done to Giles life. Furthermore, my children, they’re only teens, almost in their 20’s. Two of them are getting married today! Just leave them out of it!” Courtly yelled.
Courtly and Milton both stared at each other, both having fire in their eyes. But not just fire, there was something there, they both felt it.
“Oh fuck it.” Courtly grabbed onto Milton’s face pulling him into a kiss. She knew she shouldn’t be doing this. But she couldn't hold it back any longer.
“Milton...I shouldn’t…” Courtly breath hitched. “Shh, don't speak.” Milton kissed her again, Courtly couldn't deny the passion she felt.
The risk was humongous, but she couldn't care less.
Fuck the risks.
Fuck the consequences.
Fuck all the retribution.
Fuck the guilt.
Just fuck it all.
Meanwhile, the VK’s and Ben were just arriving at the Six Pillars Of Light temple to see it was decorated in purple and gold flowers. “Oh Maddie, this is beautiful.” Mal felt tears forming in her eyes.
“Thanks, remember, this is your and Ben’s day. Whatever you want gone, it’s gone.” Maddie said as Mal nodded.
“You need to get ready. Now go.” Maddie said as the VK’s went upstairs, the boys went into one room while the girls went into another. “Oh my gods I’m getting married.” Mal sat down in her chair.
“You just realized that now?” Evie asked. “No, I’ve always known, just the fact that I’m getting married is like, wham.”
“What wrong honey? Your breathing a little too fast.” Freddie rested her hand on her shoulder. “Oh nothing, just nervous, what if when we become king and queen the people hate us? What if Ben regrets marrying me?”
“Mal, you’re gonna make an excellent queen. You love Ben and Ben love you. Why are you panicking like this all of a sudden?” Operetta asked as Mal began fiddling with her fingers.
“What if Milton’s right? What if he’s using me for the money? If we get married, we’ll be inheriting my aunts fortune, what if Ben just takes all the money and runs off? I’ll have to run an entire kingdom myself!” Mal paced back and forth.
“Do you wanna go see Milton? Maybe it’ll help.” CJ suggested as Mal nodded. “I’ll go with her.” Evie said.
Mal and Evie teleported to the basement of the school to see Milton reading a book. “Well if it isn't the blushing bride.” Milton chuckled as Mal and Evie entered the box.
“Aren’t you supposed to be getting married today?” Milton asked smugly. “Yes, I just came here to make sure you don't ruin anything.” Mal answered. “Oh I’m the least of your problems.” Milton chuckled.
“Wh-What?” Mal stuttered. “Yeah, but, I’m not gonna say anything I’m just gonna watch it all go down in flames.” Milton winked. “You are a sick man. A very sick man!” Evie scolded. “Oh Evie, still mad that I took your snake boy?” Milton smirked.
“Why you…” Evie began cursing. “Maybe you should focus on where your bestfriend is rather than cursing me out.” Milton smirk grew as he pointed to the empty space next to Evie.
“This is all your fucking fault! You scared her half to death with that whole, “Ben is only using you for the money.” shit! She’s getting married in 6 hours! What the fucks your promblem.” Evie yelled.
“I’m watching it going down in flames!” Milton cackled.
“What do you mean she ran off?!” Ben yelled, his eyes turned amber gold with blue and green specs. “I don't know! She ran off when Milton scared the crap out of her with all that “You only married her for the money.” shit.” Carlos said being pinned to the wall.
“Alright, alright, we need to find my bride.” Ben ordered as the VK’s went to search for Mal.
“Malena. Maleficent.” Mal’s body tensed up. “You’re smoking again?” Maleficent scolded as Mal rolled her eyes.
“I’m stressed.” Mal said. “Give me the cigarette.” Maleficent held out her hand as Mal groaned, handing her the cigarette. “And the pack.” Mal grabbed the pack from her pocket and placed in in Maleficent hand.
“Milton psyched you out huh?” Mal nodded. “Does Ben only want Auntie Jessie’s money?” Mal asked, looking at the horizon. “Gods sakes no! That’s what your father wanted.” Maleficent sighed.
“Haydn?” Mal asked. “Your actual father.” Maleficent lit a cigar. “Your here telling me not to smoke and what are you doing smoking a cigarette.” Mal said smugly. “It’s a cigar, hence why it’s bigger.” Maleficent said, the smoke escaping her lips.
“Plus, I’m stressed too.” Maleficent sighed. “How are you stressed? I’m the one getting married.” Mal asked, tilting her head. “In my eyes, you're still the little girl who cried when you fell off your bike. The little girl I sent off to pre k, the same girl who had that smiling face when you and Evie made your first steal.”
Maleficent looked at Mal’s face. She doesn't know what’s to come of her life...my poor baby...but I can’t focus on that now, there’s a wedding that needs to happen.
Maleficent sighed “Does Ben even love me? Do I even love him? What if Milton tries something again? What if he runs off with Briar? What if-” Maleficent then flicked her forehead.
“Ow!” Mal whined. “Why did I flick you?” Maleficent asked. “Cause I was ranting about silly small things.” Mal muttered.
“Exactly. Of course you love Ben, and Ben loves you. Milton is in a plexiglass box surrounded by the best guards ever! Briar is a lesbian, and nowhere near the wedding. So please, for the love of the gods, stop sweating the small stuff.” Maleficent chuckled.
“Something inside doesn't feel right. Like something isn't finished.” Mal tapped her chin. “Did you ever break up with that Caleb guy?” Maleficent asked as Mal’s eyes widened. “Caleb! That’s it! I never ended that chapter with Caleb!” Mal then put on her jacket and entered the streets of the Villain Isles.
“Um Mal, I don't think this is such a good idea. You know how protective Ben is.” Maleficent reminded her. “I know, I just need to close this chapter then I can move on.” Mal said reached a simple red brick house.
Mal rang the doorbell causing somebody to open it. “Caleb, we are officially do- your not Caleb.” Mal noticed, as the girl in front of her rubbed her eyes.
She has pale pink skin, pale purple eyes, and black hair with pink streaks. Many of her physical features nod to vampire heritage, such as pointed ears, fangs, and pale skin.
“Caleb? Oh your Mal.” the girl yawned as she welcomed Mal and Maleficent in. “I’m Didi. Dracula’s daughter.” Didi introduced as Mal and Maleficent sat on the black couch. “But you’re a vampire. And Caleb’s a wolf. How does that work?” Maleficent asked.
“Also, shouldn’t you be in transilvania now? For the blood something festival?” Mal asked. “Oh the Blood Moon festival? I don't have that instinct anymore. That craving for blood. Eww! I’m strictly vegan now.” Didi smiled, eating some strawberries.
“Woah, but what about those cravings?” Maleficent asked. “Yes, it’s true I get cravings every month because of my period. So, Caleb lets me take his blood every time I have those cravings.” Didi shortly explained.
“But, your tribe, the castle, your heritage, your powers, you gave it all up for him?” Mal asked. “Yes, I mave have give up my heritage, my tribe, my castle, but my powers still remain.” Didi said, lifting up the fridge with just her pinky.
“I gave up everything for love. I couldn't live without Caleb, literally he’s my blood source, but also cause I love him. Yes your love is forbidden, but it makes it more fun, knowing that I can get in trouble for liking this wolf. It’s amazing, invigorating even, but I did it cause I love him with all my heart.”
“You gave up everything. For him.” Mal smiled. “Hey babe.” Didi smiled, kissing Caleb. “Mal! Congrats on the engagement.” Caleb smiled. “Congrats on dracs daughter.” Maleficent chuckled.
“You gave up so much, just to be with her.” Mal placed her hand on her temple. “Of course, I’ll give anything to be with my little bat.” Caleb picked up Didi, spinning her around.
“Aren’t you doing the same thing with Ben?” Didi asked. “Yeah, but, Ben...I’m not sure if I love him anymore.” Mal sighed, sitting on the couch. “I mean what if he hates me? What if I don't end up being the queen he wanted me to be? What if-”
Mal then felt somebody’s lips on her. Memories of all the good times Mal and Ben had flashed before her eyes.
She smiled, see these memories always made Mal happy, the way Ben’s lips felt on her. The way they were surprisingly soft, his musky scent of cologne filling her senses. “Oh Ben…” Mal breath hitched.
“Shh, listen to me. You’re the love of my life, the light of my life, my everything Mal.” Ben whispered making Mal chuckle. “I love you to Ben, your my everything, my other half, the sun to my moon, the apple to my eyes, my animalistic king.” Mal whispered back.
Suddenly, she was back in Caleb’s house. “What the?” Mal asked, holding her head. “Ben’s a lucky man, your blood is amazing by the way.” Didi wiped her lips.
“How did you do that? What was that?” Mal asked. “It’s called Love Bites. When I bite people, I can see their inner most deepest thoughts.” Didi said, dabbing her lips with the a paper towel. “My innermost thoughts are Ben and me?” Mal smiled, thinking about her kissing Ben.
“You feeling better?” Caleb asked. “Yeah, thank you.” Mal nodded, her and Maleficent walking out of Caleb's house.
“Now, before you get ready for the wedding. I wanna make a toast, give me a sec.” Maleficent went into a nearby bar for some champagne glasses.
“Malena, is that you?” A familiar voice asked.
Mal’s eyes widened.
“Dad?”
