EP.3|Welcome To Goody-Two-Shoes School, The Worst Place To Be A Villain!
Hello! Welcome to our 3rd instalment of Good At Being Bad. Last time we learned more about CJ and Carlos and how both of their fears are just cover ups for their real fears. Now, let's continue our adventure.
“Arcana Prep!” The conductor yelled as our five girls got off the train. “Um, Freddie.” Mal started. “Yeah?” Freddie asked. “Where’s your shadow?” Operetta asked. “Oh, shadow!” Freddie whistled as a silhouette shadow of Freddie appeared in the place where her shadow should be. “This is shadow Freddie.” Freddie introduced. “S-shadow Freddie?” Evie stuttered. “Oh, I get it! Since Freddie’s dad is nicknamed the “Shadow Man” and his shadow can move. That trait must have been passed down to her.” Mal shortly explained as Shadow Freddie nodded.
“That actually really cool.” CJ admired as Freddie looked at her shadow and sighed. “Shadow, give CJ back her wand.” Freddie’s shadow frowned as moved towards CJ giving her back her wand. “How did she do that without me seeing?” CJ asked. “You can’t hear a shadow.” Freddie winked as she continued walked down the train platform.
Freddie then stop once she saw a beautiful black carriage being pulled by a winged horses with a skeletal body, face with reptilian features, and wide, leathery wings that resemble a bat's. “Woah.” Freddie gasped. “Hey buddy.” Freddie stoked the front of it’s head as the horse neighed. The horse started sniffing Freddie’s satchel bag. Freddie opened it and brought out an apple. She feed it to the horse, the horse lick her face. Freddie chuckled as continued petting the horse.
“Freddie? Hun, what are you doing?” Evie asked. “Petting the horse, duh.” Freddie answered. “What horse?” Operetta asked. “You don’t see the horse?” Freddie asked as Mal and CJ shook their heads. Am I going crazy?? “You’re not going crazy.” A boy said, surprising Freddie. “I’m not?” Freddie asked.
“Nope, these are Granians. They only appear to people who’ve seen death. Being the son of Hades I see death all the time.” The boy smiled. “The names Zeref.” Zeref introduced as Freddie shook his hand. “Freddie.” Freddie introduced also. “So, um...if you don’t mind me asking...uh well…” Zeref rubbed the back of his neck.
“My grandfather.” Freddie sighed. “What?” Zeref asked. “My grandfather died right before my eyes when I was 5. Once night when my father was out me and my grandfather were watching the shop. The smashed the lights in our shop so neither me and my grandfather could see. All I saw was a silver cross necklace shimmering from the low street lights. I then heard a gunshot.”
“Once the emergency lights turned on I saw my grandfather on the ground bleeding. He told me he was gonna be okay, but I was five and was seeing my grandfather bleed to death, I didn’t know what to do. I told him that help was on the way and that I was call 911. But he told me to stop. He told me to let him die.” Freddie looked at the tiki medallion around her neck, letting tears fall on it. “I honestly did think he was gonna be okay. But he wasn’t. Now my life goal is to get revenge for my father and find that person with the silver cross necklace.” Freddie wiped her eyes and sighed.
“Sorry, I’m babbling.” Freddie sighed. Zeref immediately hugged Freddie. “U-um...Zer-Zeref.” Freddie stuttered. “You were only five having that burden on you must have sucked.” Zeref said. Freddie smiled “Thanks. I-I hav-haven’t been hu-hugged in a while.” “Your welcome.” Zeref smiled as he wiped the rest of Freddie tears.
“It’s a shame for a pretty girl like you to be crying.” Zeref winked as he caught up with the rest of his group of friends. CJ wolf-whistled. “Get it Freddie.” Operetta smirked. “So when’s the wedding?” Evie asked slyly. “W-wed-wedding?!” Freddie suttered. Mal and Evie started laughing falling onto the carriage floor.
Meanwhile, in the boys carriage Jasper and Hunter was laughing so hard. “You can’t stop blushing!!” Jasper laughed. “He smells like tropical fruit. It’s different. Not better than CJ’s but it’s okay.” Carlos sighed looking the other way to see CJ smiling at him. Carlos felt like melting there and then. “She’s looks like you type Zeref.” Hunter smirked. “I don’t have a type!” Zeref scolded.
“Yeah you do, and it’s her.” Ben chuckled. “Zeref and Freddie sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G.” Carlos sang. “Hey maybe you should stop singing and focus on where your dogs at.” Zeref chuckled as Carlos looked over to CJ to see Dude curled on a sleeping CJ’s chest. “Lucky dog.” Carlos growled. “Looks like Dude really like CJ.” Ben smirked. The carriage then stopped at the front of a castle.
Castle appears to be made of white and grey stone with royal blue roofs on their turrets; the tops of several towers and two of the tallest spires are made with real gold and gold leaf
“Woah.” Mal said in awe. The drawbridge then lowered as people entered the building to see a beautiful peal and blue walls with paintings hung all over. The staircases move every 5 minutes. “Welcome students to Arcana Prep!” A voice rang through the castle.
Everyone looked to their left to see a woman with a long chocolate brown hair, olive tan skin, hazel eyes, and a yellow lace with satin trim party dress along with yellow pumps. Everyone clapped. “Who is that?” Zeref asked loudly over all the clapping.
“That’s Belle!” A girl next to Zeref answered excitedly. “The principle of Arcana Prep! She’s only from the greatest story ever!” She added. Carlos and Zeref looked at Ben and back at Belle. Then at Ben and back at Belle. This went on for about 2 minutes until they figured it out.
“Jasper!” Carlos called out taping on his shoulder. Jasper turned around to see Carlos pointing at Belle. Jasper looked at Belle and back at Ben. “Shit! Shit shit!” Jasper cursed as they looked at Hunter who was shooting daggers at Belle with his eyes.
“He’s here isn't he?” Hunter asked, his eyes slowly filling up with rage and anger. “Yes…but you can’t go out on him! Or Belle! Especially not Belle! It’s just gonna make more problems. And may I remind you, that’s how we got in this stupid school in the first place!” Zeref warned him.
“Why shouldn’t I?!” Hunter voice roared, luckily, the clapping was so loud you could barely hear him. “Hunter, we get it that your mad at him but you can’t do it here! Especially not when his son is here! They would send us to the Blood Prison!” Carlos scolded. Jasper and Zeref glared at him. “Sorry.” Carlos mouthed.
“YOU MEAN TO TELL ME HE’S HIS SON!!!?!?!?!” Hunter yelled causing the ground to shake. The clapping stop. Hunter glared at Ben. “You!” Hunter started advancing on Ben. “You have some nerve! We’ve been friends for 15 years! And not once did you care to mention that the Beast from Beauty and the Beast is your father!” Hunter pointed his wand at Ben’s forehead.
“And this is why!” Ben shot back. “You’re father got me and my friends in this god-forsaken hell hole!” Hunter growled.
“It’s not my fault you and you friend commited a crime! That was your decision!” Ben yelled. “We only did it because we had to! Plus! Carlos had nothing to do with it! He was the getaway-driver!” Hunter shot back.
“He was an accomplice!” Ben yelled. “If you knew what we found in that vault you would understand!! You know Ben...I thought I was your friend…” Hunter turned around from him. “You are…I just...just…” Ben started, Hunter then quickly turned around.
“Erecego!” Hunter yelled as a stream of green light emitted from his wand. But before it could hit Ben a shield formed in front of him make a cloud of smoke. Once the smoke disappeared Hunter couldn’t believe who was standing in front of him.
The beast.
“YOU!!!” The both yelled in unison. “Stay away from my son!” The beast yelled. “You can't tell me what to do! Curarbus!” Hunter yelled as a snake appeared and wrapped around Adam’s leg, swinging him into the wall.
“TELL THEM!!” Hunter yelled. “Tell them what?!? GUARDS!!” Adam yelled and soon guards sword Hunter, tying him down with ropes making his wand fall out of his hand. “HUNTER!!” Carlos yelled, he was about to go in but Hunter shook his head, telling him to stop.
“You’re lucky you’re friends with my son! If you weren’t then I would’ve killed you long ago!” Adam growled. “Dad! Let him go! He’s acting out of anger! It’s not him. You don’t understand dad! It’s a cur-” Adam then cut him off.
“NO, son you don’t understand! I’ll let him go with a warning since only I was hurt and no else. He steps one toe out of line and he’ll end up like his father.” Adam warned as the guards let go of Hunter having him drop to the floor.
Ben ran to Hunter’s side. “Hunter...I...I…” Ben started. “Ben. It’s fine. Just, why didn’t you tell me?” Hunter asked. “I didn’t want to ruin our friendship silly.” Ben sighed. “You idiot.” Hunter chuckled as Ben handed him back his wand. Zeref and Jasper helped Hunter up.
“Sorry for that interruption, this year at Arcana Prep we had some new smiling faces. Thanks, to my lovely son, Ben Beastly, soon to be King Benjamin of Arcana, opened our doors to 9 ba-I mean V.K’s out of the kindness of his heart.” Belle announced as Ben shyly walked up to the stage waving.
“I glad to welcome all the V.K’s to Arcana Prep. I know what it’s like to go to a new place where you stick out like a sore thumb. You just have to find some friends to stand by. Let’s treat the VK as though they were one of our own! Let’s show them our Arcana Pride!” Ben cheered.
“I also want to thank one special girl, she made sure everything goes perfect for the VK’s first week here. Come up here Briar!” Ben smiled as a girl walked up to the stage. She was a slender girl, light-brown skin, long brown hair, brown eyes.
She wore a sleeveless pink dress with a pink bodice covered by black mesh and black thorn patterns. Her skirt is layered and pink, shaped like a rosebud with black mesh hems and with a black rose and thorn pattern on it.
Briar has a black bracelet with a pink rose on it, a pink rose ring, silver roses surrounded by leaves for earrings and her crown glasses, which are pink with roses and curls on them.
On her shoulders rests pink rose bushes, connected by a black necklace with a pink gem pendant hanging from it. Briar's black barrel purse doubles as a pillow. Her shoes are pink with roses on the top and thorns across the front and forming the heel. Mal scoffed as Briar began speaking.
“I just love love love how my Benny Bear is so accepting to everyone. I just hope that one day all the VK’s around the world can get the chance to go to A.P like the rest of us. With that said. Rooms and classes are posted on the stairwell wall behind me, have fun.” Briar then step off the stairwell as a flood of people appeared.
“I just love love love how accepting my Benny Bear is. Ugh her voice wants to make me shoot myself.” Mal groaned as the five girls laughed. “I know my girlfriend is a bit annoying at times but she’s really nice when you get to know her.” Mal turned around to see Ben smiling as Briar looked at Mal, as though she was looking down at her.
“Briar this is M-” Ben then got cut off. “Malena, daughter of Maleficent.” Briar and Mal shook hands as they looked into each other’s eyes, glaring into them. As though they were saying I HATE YOU SO MUCH! “You’ve met?” Ben asked. “Yes, sadly.” Briar and Mal said in unison.
“Okay, anyways, Briar planned to have tea and crumpets party in the lawn during lunch on friday, so everyone can get to know each other. Tomorrow though, I will be your official tour guide of the school.” Ben said as Mal nodded.
“Great…” Mal trailed off. “If you excuse me, Prince Ben. We have a lot of luggage and it’s kinda heavy. See you later.” Mal waved goodbye as her and the four others walked towards the stairwell. There was so many people they couldn’t get through.
Operetta looked at Shadow Freddie to see she was gone as swerving through the crowd making them scurry like cockroaches. Freddie and the others walked up the stairs casually ask everyone looked at them weirdly, especially Freddie, her not having a shadow at the moment.
“Room 241.” Freddie said as her shadow self attached herself to real Freddie again. Operetta and CJ looked up to see millions of stairs. “UGHH!!!” They both groaned. “Come on you two get to walking.” Mal chuckled as they began walking up the flights of stairs.
“Isn't there an elevator or something?” CJ asked. “Nope, it’s gonna be great cardio!” Freddie smiled. “I’ll meet you in the room guys! I’ll get our class schedules.” Evie smiled as she walked to a table with a large banner above it saying CLASSES in gold letters.
“Hi how can we help you tod-YOU!!!” The girl at the booth yelled. Evie looked up to lock eyes with the girl. “It’s a pleasure seen you here.” The girl smiled. “Evie Queen, it’s been so long” The girl smirked. “Not long enough Winter White.” She has golden blond curls for hair, and fruit-punch-splash-colored, maroon-pink lips.
Winter wears a bright red dress with a sweetheart neckline and black mesh hem under a cream colored jacket with ball gown sleeves and a gold quilted pattern. Her knee-length skirt is in two layers, one red and sporting golden vine designs, the peplum pink with white leaf and flower patterns and a black mesh hem. Under it she wears black fishnet stockings.

“Here are you and your friend Classes.” Winter growled as she handed the papers to Evie. “Thank you.” Evie scoffed as she walked away. “Don’t melt on your way up the stairs.” Winter called out. “Don’t get poisoned by any fruit!” Evie shot back as she angrily walked back to her room.
