EP.157|Only You Can Change Your Destiny

EP.157|Only You Can Change Your Destiny

Even though Ben’s parts were heros, not Belle though, she’s only half, doesn't mean he didn't have family in the Villain Isles.

He had his Grandma Heine.

Ben didn't bother running as a human, instead, he turned into his lion form and darted through the forest until he reached a large grass field.

He turned back into his human form and walked inside, hoping that his dear grandma wasn’t hurt. He slowly opened the door, an odd creaking sound came from the floor once he stepped on it.

“Grandma? Grandma Heine?” Ben walked further into the house to hear groaning. He ran into the back room to see Heine under a ton of wooden beams.

“Grandma!” Ben quickly moved the beams off of Heine to see blood was gushing from her stomach “Ben…” Heine rasped. “Yeah, I’m here grandma.” Ben’s eyes started to tear up.

“Remember, that night...me, you, and Lucifer, went to go see...your grandpa?” Heine coughed up blood. “Yeah, I do.” Ben sniffled. “Tell it to me again, I love that story…” Heine smiled weakly.

It was a cool autumn night, Heine, Ben, and Lucifer sat in the train car. Both boys slept on Heine’s lap. She smiled, they’re so cute when they’re asleep.

She sighed, she wanted to savor the moment she had left with her boys. Heine knew what would happen in the future between the boys and she knew she couldn't stop it “why can't you just stay little forever?”

Once the train stopped, Heine woke up the boys who were still groggy and tired “come on, boys, get up, we gotta go see your grandpa Chernabog.” Heine carried Ben on her back while Lucifer walked beside her, holding her hand.

“Grandma Heine,” Lucifer yawned “how come mommy didn't come with us to visit grandpa?” “Because,” Heine sighed, “your mom is ashamed at the fact she’s part villain.”

“Why?” Lucifer asked. “Because your mom is stupid.” Heine said simply, Lucifer chuckled.

“Then, does that mean she’s ashamed of me?” Lucifer sulked. “Look, your mom is a...difficult person...but deep down she loves both you and Ben.” Heine smiled at him.

The trio then reached a small house in the middle of a grass field “Chernabog?” Heine called out, she was then picked up off the ground, bridal style. “Hey,” Heine looked behind her to see a man about her age.

He had warm ivory skin, electric blue eyes, and black hair. He wore a leather jacket and black jeans and white shoes.

“Chernabog!” Heine hugged him tightly, “I miss you.” Chernabog hugged her back. “So, you ready to move in?” he asked, Heine nodded and kissed him. Ben yawned, waking up to see Chernabog.

“Grandpa!” Ben and Lucifer tackled him in a hug. “Hey, Benny. Hey, Lucifer.” Chernabog chuckled. “Grandma talks a lot about you, she said she couldn't wait to move in and finally be with you like old times.” Ben smiled sweetly.

“Is that so?” Chernabog smirked, wrapping his arms around Heine, whispering something in her ear that Ben and Lucifer couldn't hear but by Heine’s blush, it must have been something sweet.

“I’m surprised your mom let you come see me,” Chernabog said, walking inside the house to see lot of boxes with labels on them “she does hate us after all.”

“Mommy doesn't hate you, she just really, really, really, really doesn't like you.” Ben tried sugar coating it. “Which is basically a nice way of saying she hates grandma and grandpa.” Lucifer chuckled.

“I don't mind, your mother has always hated villain, I just never thought she would hate her own parents because of it.” Heine sighed. “Plus, Belle’s an adult now, she has her own opinions and we have to respect that.” Chernabog added.

“We don't technically have to.” Heine muttered. “She’ll eventually come around,” Chernabog rested his hand on her shoulder “we just have to give her time.”

Lucifer struggled to carry on of the boxes “what in this?! Gold bars!” Lucifer groaned. Heine opened the box to see it was pictures of her and boys. She looked down to the bottom of the box to bring out a smaller box with the words. For the saviors of the next generation.

She quickly hid it in the cupboard, looking at Ben and Lucifer to see them trying on Chernabog’s armor, acting like little soldiers. “You’re going down! Pew! Pew!” Ben shot an imaginary gun at Lucifer.

“Not before you eat this!” Lucifer threw a ball, imitating the sound of a bomb. “Oh no! I’m wounded!” Ben fell to the floor dramatically. “This is the last straw!” Lucifer tackled Ben, stabbing him with a fake sword.

Both boy fell to the floor laughing, “Lucifer?” Ben turn towards him. “Yeah, Ben?” Lucifer smiled at him “Brother forever, right?” Ben smiled goofingly. “Yeah, brothers forever.” Lucifer hugged him tightly.

After a long day of unpacking, Chernabog and Heine sat at the dining table, the box they found at the bottom of the photo box in the center. “Chernabog, I don't know about this.” Heine bit her lower lip softly.

“Heine, we have to, for both of their sakes, he needs to have it.” Chernabog said to her. “But what if it corrupts him...I don't want that for him.” Heine worried.

“It won't, knowing him, he’ll have friends to keep him sane.” Chernabog assured her. “I hope so.” Heine sighed, she picked up the box and walked towards Ben, who was sleeping on the couch.

“Ben,” Chernabog shook him lightly, Ben sat up, rubbing his eyes “yeah, grandpa?” Heine passed him the box. “What’s this?” Ben tried opening it but a lock kept it closed.

“This is something very important, keep this box close to you at all times, okay? Never let it leave your sight.” Heine told him. “Why?” Ben asked. “Just because, Ben. I don't want you to open this until we tell you, okay?” Ben nodded.

“Good, don't tell your bother about this, okay?” Ben nodded again, Heine kissed his forehead “remember, you’re the only one who can change your destiny.”

Ben finished the story, crying as tears fell on Heine. “Ben...I don't think…” Ben shook his head “no, you’re gonna make it grandma.” Ben picked up Heine and began running as fast as his little feet could carry him.

“Help!” Ben yelled, reaching the town area “anyone! Please!” Ben called out, falling to his knees “somebody! I-I need a healer! Heine is about to...about to…” “about to die.” Ben didn't need to turn around, he already knew that voice was Araden’s.

“Why...why are you here?” Ben sniffled, holding Heine closer. “Why do you think Ben?” Araden questioned, walking further towards him. “Because your a selfish dick who took over my brother’s body and hurt my grandma.” Ben growled.

“Ah!” Araden placed his hand on his heart, acting offended “how dare you! I have done no such-- oh wait, I did do that.” Araden chuckled a bit. “What do you want? You wanna beat me up? Kill me? Destroy everything I love? I don't care anymore.” Ben sobbed “just end me already.”

“Well that’s not fun!” Araden pouted. “Why is that?” Ben raised his eyebrows. “Cause you didn't put up a fight.” Araden replied.

“Neither did those people you killed on all those islands.” Ben reminded him. “Yeah but those are just stupid normal people with magi. You’re different Ben.” Araden smirked. “How?” Ben asked.

“I’m not the right person to explain that to you, but just know you’re different. That’s why I want you a maximum power when we fight, so it’ll be equal.” Araden said, “but, I’m giving you a chance,” Araden stood in front of him, extending his hand for Ben to shake “to join me.”

Ben looked up at Araden, he looked into his eyes and to this day, he swore he could see Lucifer still in them. “Lucifer…” Ben reached his hand towards Araden’s. “If you side with me, I can get your brother back.” Araden wagered.

“Ben! Don't do this!” Ben eyes widened when he heard Lucifer’s voice in his head “please! You can find another way to get me back!”

“But, Araden says this is the only way.” Ben sulked. “Don't listen! There’s still hope you can find Swan!” Lucifer reminded him. “But we don't have the grail…” Ben reminded him. “But you-” Lucifer voice then cut off when Ben heard the sound of yelling.

“BEN BEASTLY!” Mal yelled, Araden growled “if you shake his hand we’re done! I will dump your ass and beat your ass at the same freaking time!” Mal appeared before him, but it wasn’t really her, it was almost like a her spirit.

“Don't listen to them, Ben, you need me.” Araden cooed. “You don't need him! You have us! We’re always gonna be here, Ben!” Jasper told him.

“But, the grail…” Ben muttered. “Who gives a shit about the grail! We can find Swan on our own!” CJ added.

“What if we don't find Swan? What then?” Ben worried. “We’ll just kick Araden’s ass without her help.” Operetta replied. “We’re in this together, Ben.” Evie smiled.

“He’s too strong...we can't beat him.” Ben looked down in shame. “We thought that about all our past enemies on the islands, but we beat them.” Hunter said in a motivating way.

“Araden is no different, he’s just a roadblock we’re gonna break down.” Carlos smirked, giving Ben a thumbs up.

“That saying “if you can't beat them, join them.” is bull! You aren’t joining Araden! We’re gonna kick his ass!” Zeref assured him. “And even if you did, we could find you and knock some sense into your butt.” Freddie cracked her knuckles.

Ben got up, placing Heine on the ground softly, starring Araden in his eyes. Araden could tell there was some serious fire in Ben’s eyes. It was something about them that told Araden this boy was special, that him and his friends won't go down easy.

“So, you think you can come here, take over my brother’s body, hurt millions of innocent people, have your stupid goons hurt my friends family, and you have the audacity to ask me to join you?!” Ben’s hand gripped Araden’s neck, pinning him to a building wall.

“B-Ben…” Araden struggled to say. “What’s wrong? Did you run out of smart ass shit to say? Hmm, I must suck.” Ben’s grip became tighter.

“I-I-I...y-you…” Araden began to shake as a back and white matter surrounded Ben. “I could kill you now,” Ben’s hand turned into claws, digging into Araden’s neck “but I don't want to stoop down to your level.”

“But know this,” Ben leaned in “when we do fight, it’ll be one on one, and I’ll finish you once and for all.”
