Dipper turned his head towards the (Hair color) girl, who was sitting outside the shack with content look on her face. She was staring off into space, thinking about who knows what. Dipper took this chance to just stare at her without her paying attention.

They had met a few days after the Pine twins came to Gravity Falls to live with their Great Uncle. She was one of the most kind and funniest girls they had ever met. And when Dipper and Mabel decided to tell her about all the crazy things that happened to them and she was amazed. All her life living in Gravity falls, she had never noticed anything like that. (Later on they figured out (Y/N) had her memory erased by the blind eye society)

Shall I stay? Would it be a sin?

The twins and her had gotten really close since then, especially Dipper. You guys would always hang out when you got the chance, whether it was monster hunting or watching tv, you guys did it together.

Today, today was different though. They had just beaten Bill, and had their thirteenth birthday party, Mabel and Dipper made up after a long fight, and they were currently packing up their stuff.

Like a river flows

Dipper kind of had a guess of what (Y/N) was thinking, since today they were going back to Piedmont, there wasn't a chance of the Twins and (Y/N) seeing each other for a long time.

Surely to the sea

Dipper fixed the strap on his bag, and walked over to his friend.

"Hey" Dipper smiled. (Y/N) snapped out of her thoughts and turned to him.

"Oh, hi." She said, returning the smile. Dipper tapped his fingers on the porch as they sat there in silence.

Darling, so it goes.

"I'm...gonna miss you." She spoke up, looking away from the boy.

"I'm gonna miss you too." He replied, looking over to the girl. She looked like she was gonna burst out in tears, because she was shaking, and taking deep breaths. "You okay?" Dipper asked, voice filled with concern. Suddenly, she hugged him.

Dipper eyes widened, as he slowly hugged back.

"Dip, I...have something to say." (Y/N) said, tears falling down her face. "I guess I waited to tell you until you were going back to your home, so if things were awkward, we wouldn't have to deal with it every time we saw each other." She explained. "I...really like you...like...more then a friend."

Dipper's face became hot and his heart started to beat faster.

"I really like you too," Dipper said, holding her closer. "Like, more than a friend." They both chuckled, and (Y/N) buried her face in his shoulder, sharing some last moments before the he was off.

Dipper waved goodbye to his friends and family as he drove away with his sister. And saw the love of his life, shyly wave back. Her face was red and tear-stained, but she was smiling.

(3 years later)

Dipper and Mabel waited impatiently as the bus drove past the 'Welcome to Gravity Falls!' sign.

Surely to the sea

They grabbed their things and hopped out of the bus. And ran to the group of people waiting for them at the bus stop. They saw Grunkle Stan and Grunkle Ford, Soos and his lovely wife, holding a child in her arms, good old Wemdy, Candy and Grenda, and last but not least, (Y/N).

Darling, so it goes

She had changed so much since they last saw her, in looks, but she was the same old (Y/N) as the one when they were kids. Now they were sixteen.

After Mabel gave her a giant bear hug and left to go hang with Candy and Grenda, it was Dipper's turn to say hello.

"Hey." He said, giving her a welcoming hug.

"Hi." She said, voice full of happiness and returning the hug. "How have you been." She asked sweetly.

"Better now that your here." Dipper said in a flirty way. (Y/N) smirked and let go.

"Well we are confident aren't we?" She giggled.

Some things are meant to be

(Y/N) and Dipper walked around town, hand-in-hand, talking about what had happened to each other when the went their separate ways.

They were giggling and having a grand old time.
