𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒇 𝑰'𝒎 𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒏, 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒔 𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒚 𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒆?

SAMANTHA GARRETT was finished running from her family.

After leaving home for college, she vowed to never return until she found out she was her boyfriends mistress. Sunday's in bed, Wednesday's at the market, and even a vacation or two, the pair had been soulmates. He was older, but she didn't mind, not when she knew he treated her with the utmost respect and adoration. That was, of course, before she found out he was a liar. A cheat, a deceiver, a stranger. So, Sam did the only thing she could do.

She ran.

Ran and ran until she was back exactly where she started. Her home was a wasteland of broken picture frames, shattered bones and glass, and sobbing tears locked away in musty closets. Broken teeth, broken noses, black eyes, black tears, her family home was a nightmare and she had abandoned it, even her younger brother.

She had only one thing on her mind when she left and that was to escape, to be free, to be gone. She wanted to be a ghost story, just a face in a photograph, nothing more and nothing less but she knew it was wrong to leave him there. Her baby brother, too young to know better, too young to understand the demons their parents had folded up inside them.

When the dead suddenly began to rise, Sam ran home like a coward, as if finally returning to the scene of her fevered crimes would make up for all her missed time but what she finds is unlike anything she had ever thought.

Her brother was gone, taken away by angry parents. Sam Garrett was a runner, but so was her entire family. 

Her parents took off and dragged her brother along with them and Sam was going to stop at nothing to get him back. She just didn't realize she'd find a lonely cowboy looking for his family and that they were headed to the same destination all along.

Hearts pulled together on a string, she finds herself in a world of monsters and beasts worse than the ones that hid under her bed. Not all evil things were meant to stay hidden and locked away. They were meant to be unleashed like a pack of starving wolves, ready to tear limb from limb and eat the cowards that run.

AUTHOR'S NOTE━━this story follows pretty much exactly along with the show. it was also written for a long time in my drafts so it's in the works of continuously being edited!! 

Sam will also be a growing character and will do things we might not all agree on but she's a learning emotional character that will continue to evolve and change.
