Chapter 3: Curiosity
'So what you're telling me is,' Jisoo turned over Lisa's words, 'You feel like you know the guy, but you've never met him before?'
Lisa sighed, nodding. The stranger at the cafe had been stuck on her mind, for whatever reason, and she could not forget the strange sensation she'd felt.
'Soulmates?'
Her friend had a mysterious glint in her eyes that told Lisa her words meant more than what she herself could understand.
'What do you mean?'
'Nothing.' Jisoo's answer was quick. Too quick. Lisa's brow furrowed and she straightened her spine. Jisoo coughed. 'Seriously, forget what I said. That was a joke.'
Her reply only confused Lisa more. They had been sitting here in the corner booth at a cafe for about an hour; Lisa had been explaining her encounter at this very shop, trying to get Jisoo to decode whatever the heck happened.
The bell that signified the arrival of a new customer made Lisa look up at the door - and then suddenly duck down. Jisoo eyed her position alarmingly, swerving back to search for whatever Lisa had seen.
'What?' Jisoo whisper-shouted. Lisa laid her forehead onto the table, whining softly. 'What is it, Lisa?'
The blonde shot up in her seat, neck craned to get a good look at the newcomer.
'It's him!'
