Chapter 13: Sense

Jungkook stepped off the machine, grinning triumphantly, as the crowd cheered him on. It had been an hour and a half since Hoseok had left him here and Jungkook had quickly grown bored off the game without his friend.

Exiting the arcade, he kept his eyes out for the familiar group of boys. He'd left his phone back at home which left him stranded with no way to fond his friends.

A wave of nausea weakened his knees, sending him lunging for support from the cold metal rail. The chill sent a jolt up his arm, clearing his head and Jungkook blinked wildly, regaining his composure.

To his right, a group of people had formed around wooden doors, necks craned to sneak a peek through the glass window. A faint roar of cheering came from its inside and then the door opened and out walked several men and women, dressed in sporty clothes, one carrying a boombox speaker on their shoulder. Jungkook took a step towards them curiously.

The crowd formed a perimeter around the dancers, eagerly awaiting whatever it was they were going to do. The beat had begun and Jungkook nodded to the rhythm, looking at the dancers. There were four males and five females, dancing along to the hip hop track blaring from their speaker.

Jungkook knew he should be leaving. But he could not. His mind and body was stuck on the performance. And his eyes? Glued to the one particular dancer at the side.

Lisa.

***

She knew he was here. She could feel it. In whatever part of her mind, whatever part of her heart, she could feel the tug between them.

Lisa's eyes scanned the crowd wildly, the urge to follow the pull only barely suppressed.

Then she found him. And he found her.

The music faded away and Lisa could only see him. Jungkook.

The migraines faded to nothing, no more constant pounding inside her head. The voices, the pieces of memories she couldn't piece together, they vanished.

She could only see him.

Then a soft tug tore her out her trance - her newly made friend, Jae - waved a hand across her face. 'Earth to Lisa?' Her head whipped to look at him.

'Y-yeah?'

'It's time,' he told her. 'What were you staring at?' Jae followed her gaze to the rail.

There was nobody there.
