Astrid looks up from her paper that she was writing on. She looks at the source of the noise and her heart stops.

Doctors rush in and they hurry around the room. A nurse walks up to her and pushes her out of the room. She tries to go back in but she knows that it is pointless. Tears rush down her face as she looks through the glass. She sees the nurses turn off the life support.

"Time of death?" One nurse asks. Another looks at their watch. "10:55 PM." Astrid lets out a sob and she feels a hand on her shoulder. She ignores it and sadly watches as the nurse pulls the sheet up. She puts her hands on the glass and watches teary-eyed. An arm goes around her shoulder and she turns around on cries into that person's shoulder.

She feels a hand rub her back. Even though her nose is stuffed up, she can smell the strong stench of fish. She instantly knows that it is Ruffnut that is comforting her.

Ruffnut may be obnoxious sometimes but she also has a caring side. And she obviously doesn't show it often.

"It's okay Astrid. He can't be hurt anymore. And don't be too mad at Snotlout. He didn't want to suffer any longer."

Astrid nods and tries to calm down but fails. She lets out another sob and hugs Ruffnut tighter. She knows Ruffnut wouldn't dare try to get her to loosen up.

"I miss him." Astrid says. More tears escape.

She feels something wet hit her head. The realization hits her and another sob is let lose.

Ruffnut is crying.

"I do too."
