{Akame (Your) POV}

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHU-NII!" You screamed with excitement as you jumped onto his blue bed, tackling him.

He opened one of his light ocean blue eyes, showing no interest as in what you just said.

"Be quiet...", he whispered as he pulled your waist closer, preventing you from getting up.

"Let's go to town Shu, as your birthday gift!" You turned to him, waiting for his reply intently.

"No...", he simpy said.

"Pleaseeee. PLEASEEE! PLEASEEEEEEEEE!" You wouldn't stop beggng until he said yes.

"FINE!" He raised his voice, then went back to a whisper. "We will be back before dinner though."

"YAYY!" You happily skipped away, thinking of what to wear. You decided on a shirt with a lacy white top, matched with a light blue skirt. Bringing a white purse with golden rings chained together as handles.

"I'm READY!" You said to Shu, not even looking at him, pulling him into the limo in your white flats.

As the car moved, you sat across from him, studying him. 'He looked...well, he looked more normal.' You thought, staring at him with an arched eyebrow.

His golden locks, resting on his cheeks as he's sleeping...again. He wore a blue dress shirt with a white short underneath and brown pants, matching you. You slowly moved towards him, trying to move a lock of his hair away form his mouth.

*SQUEAKKKKKKK* (Car suddenly stops)

"Sorry about that!" The driver apologizes from the very front.

You were now laying on the cold floor, with Shu on top of you, smirking.

"You're such a lewd sister." He grinned, making you blush and get a little angry.

"I'M NOT LE", you were suddenly cut off by the driver.

"There seems to be an explosion from that building miss, and there's fire sparking everywhere, would you still like to keep going or turn ba", but before the driver could finish, Shu cut him off.

"TURN BACK NOW!" He shouted with fear consuming him.

'You remembered now...you knew why he was like this.'

"Shu...", you whispered as his head dug into you shoulder. You felt something wet staining your dress. Tears. You soothed him, gently patting his curled blond hair, humming to him over his MP3 player. He hugged you tightly, this was not how you wanted him to spend his birthday. You kept thinking about it as you layed your cheek on his head, continuing to hum a lullaby.

{Shu's POV}

|Flashback to Age 5|

"DON'T GO EDGAR!" I yelled as he waved back at me, running towards the fire burning his village.

"I'll be back Shu", Edgar smiled before disappearing into the racing fire, flickers spouting everywhere.

|Back to Present|

{Shu's POV}

I started to cry silently in Akame's arms. Holding in my screams.

{Akame (Your) POV}

"You know Shu?" You started off with a calming voice.

"I'm sure Edgar wouldn't like to see you like this."

He suddenly stopped his tears.

"And to be honest with you, I don't know what to say to make you feel better, but I do have arms to give you warm hugs, ears to listen to what you want to say, and I have a heart that's aching to see you be you again."

He looked up at you, awed for a moment. Slowly, he gently brushed his lips upon yours, surprising you. You blushed into a deep red but kissed back, wrapping your arms around his neck. When the car arrived back at the mansion, Shu pulled away.

"Heh, you're really a lewd sister", he smirked as he left you on the floor, exiting out the limo.

You looked down, slightly chuckling, you looked up at him through the window. 'I'm gald he's back.' You thought while asking the driver to drive to an antique store that only you and Reiji knew about.

:Time Skip: (A Few Days Later)

{Shu's POV}

I heard light footsteps walking towards my room while I was laying on the couch. A little closer she came. I could smell her scent as she entered my room with a loud voice.

{Akame (Your) POV}

"SHU-NII!" You busted through his bedroom door, presenting him with a boxed gift. You kneeled down in from of him, taking a deep breath in and out.

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to Shuuuuuu, happy birthday to you!" You sang to him as his eyes opened, staring at you, making you a little nervous.

"Here you go!" You handed him a present you've prepared for days, going to different places, searching for the perfect gift until you found it.

He tore the deep indigo wrapping paper to find a small wooden box, the sides carved with little floral designs. On the right side of the tiny box was a metal handle, he pushed it forward, making the top of the wooden box open. As the top of the box rose, classical music started to play. And words were carved on the inside of the top flap.

He twisted the handle many times, placing it on a coffee table before falling asleep, you watched him and smiled. You decided to lay on the couch with him and snuggle, it's been long since you two have done that. As you lay on the couch facing towards he music box, Shu's arm wrapped around your waist, making you turn around facing him.

|Flashback to Age 5|

{Akame (Your) POV}

You looked from behind the trees, your eyes reflecting the fire spreading through the village, rising high up in the air. As you turned around, a little boy with purple hair and glasses ran past you, slightly bumping into you.

"Rei...ji?" You questioned before you fell into unconciousness.

|Back to Present|

{Shu's POV}

I slightly opened my eyes, staring down at her. She spoke Reiji's name, it made me frown a little. I wonder what she was dreaming of.

My hand unconsciously danced across her warm face up to the tip of her ear, then brushing strands of hair away.

"I love you too Akame", I whispered quietly, replying to the very words carved on the wooden music box.
