49: Bondage spell

Third person P.O.V
"Elder Lee!" The old male quickly got up at the soft knock and the voice of his young leader. It was really surprising to see the raven-haired at his doorstep, but deep down, he knew the time was demanding many new things from them.
"Sire, please come inside." Looking around to find no one at Jungkook's side, Lee let the male come inside and close the door behind him, quickly casting a spell to seal the house because he was sure, it must be something confidential to have their Sire at his house.
"What brings you here at this hour, sire?" Jungkook's right hand clutched tightly while the left clutched the pocket of his jacket having the documents and pictures he went through a few moments ago that made him stuck on a point for what he was there to clear his mind. The first option was his mother, but for odd reasons, he couldn't bring himself to ask her anything regarding the matter, so taking the last option, he was there.
"Elder Lee, I'm here to ask about something old, but very important." Shifting his gaze to the older male who wore a calm aura, Jungkook continued with a serious tone. "And I'm sure you are well aware of this matter that seemed to be hidden so well till now from me."
Bowing his head lightly, Lee nodded. "You have open access to my mind, sire."
Looking around the small but well-organised room, Jungkook opted for a single seater placed at the corner beside a sofa, and Lee took the sofa after offering the younger.
"I've heard about a peace treaty signed between the Han clan and our clan, but what sort of treaty was that?"
Lee was totally taken aback but sighed at the end, noticing the adamant eyes of Jungkook. "It was a marriage-based peace treaty between two clans after that horrible war and losing lots of lives."
Gulping at where it was directed, Jungkook nodded lightly, gesturing to continue.
"The marriage was set between your father and the younger daughter of the Han clan."
"Her name?" Lee licked his lips, fidgeting with the robe, totally nervous about that.
"Han Jeonghyun, Luna's younger sister."
It wasn't wrong. It wasn't a fabricated lie residing in his pocket, and it was more unsettling. "Why?"
Lee didn't ask the reason for this why because he was sure it would be there the second he would say the name. "Sire." Softly Mumbling in utter desperation, Lee fell on his knees in front of Jungkook, making the latter stand up in an instant.
"Elder Lee!"
"I can't help here, sire. My lips are sealed."
"Elder Lee, I need to know the truth that has been hidden from me all these years! It's an order of your sire."
Lee looked afraid, tense, and even more conflicted than before. "Sire, mercy. I can't." Clasping his hands, Lee begged with his eyes as if conveying something through them, and he heard it... Jungkook heard it all with his blank expression.
'I have got a spell cast on me, sire. If I opened my mouth about that buried matter, I'll be burned to ashes.'
'Do I know that person who is the reason for it all?'
A weak nod was all he despised at that moment, but he didn't ask anymore because he knew, it was his task instead of risking Elder's life, he simply went out of the room, only to halt near the door where he felt a presence eavesdropping, or more like trying so.
Exchanging a glance with Lee, who closed his eyes to trace the scent only to fail like Jungkook, he shook his head, and Jungkook knew who it was.

After having a little food that Wangji forced him to take after a hectic and eventful day, Taehyung was lying on his back in a queen-sized bed that was quite comfortable, yet he couldn't sleep.
Tossing for another time, he closed his eyes, but only the face of teary-eyed Jungkook was popping every time he did so, making him more restless.
The dull ache felt permanent, which he ignored till it went to his bearing limits, erupting a low whimper. Even clutching his abdomen didn't help, and the pain just enhanced tenfold, resulting in his body curling into itself while he bit into the pillow to stop the scream that almost left his dry lips.
Wangji, who had a sensitive hearing, was already on the doorstep when he heard the whimpers coming from the room where Taehyung was staying. "Tae!"
"I'm fine... I'm f - argh."
"You are not! Stop saying that!" Panicking at the way the blue-haired was sweating buckets while convulsing in pain, he ignored the weak protest from Taehyung and got him in his arms before using teleportation to the nearest hospital, trying to do something rather than seeing the boy suffer in pain that he could never do.
Taehyung tugged his hoodie when he was placed in a wheelchair he found after making sure no one saw him coming out of thin air. "Tae, it's alright. We are at the hospital. I'm sorry that this matter slipped out of my mind during all the chaos."
The apologetic look in those eyes and the soft yet firm grip on his hand was a confirmation that he wasn't alone, not at least when Wangji was beside him like that, and that was a relief to know in his troubled mind.
"What happened?" A nurse noticed them and rushed to their side.
"Abdominal pain." Taehyung gasped at the new jolt, almost losing consciousness if not for the gentle pats on his cheeks from a frantic and now sweating Wangji. "Tae, please, hold on. We are here. Hmm?"
"The patient is bleeding! Clear the way, hurry up!" Taehyung's hold on Wangji's hand was gone the moment he was helped inside the emergency unit, and with his hazy sight, he saw the latter looking on the verge of breaking down.
Jungkook... Hyung, I'm sorry.
Closing his eyes when he was placed on the emergency bed, with two doctors rushing to his side, Taehyung's mind was stuck on Jungkook's sad face, his plea, and now, Wangji's face made him feel more gloomy.
Doctors were shouting at the nurses in urgency, which he couldn't listen to, feeling his mind so light and frenzy to even notice anyone in the room. Maybe he would be able to get rid of this physical pain now.

The woman had her head dipped down, her eyes downcast when two feet rested near her knees.
"It was you, right? It was you all the time to do it all behind my back." The dark aura was so intense that Elder Lee kept a good distance from the leader. The supposedly mute maid kept her head low, shaking it lightly in her defense.
"I swear, if you won't spill now, I'd go the extreme ends to make you do so." The low growl of the wolf was picked up clearly by the two people in the small room of Elder Lee.
Jungkook was right the moment he couldn't pick up the scent of the person spying on them when he was about to leave the same house before, and using his teleportation, he was successful in catching the culprit who came out as the mute maid, more like the very personal maid of his mother. And that was unsettling more than he could ever imagine.
"If I took you to Mom, she would be greatly disappointed. Are you fine with it?" Pressing the sensitive point, knowing how much that maid was down for his mother after she was saved during war by her. And it worked when she started shaking her head vigorously, totally disapproving of the thought of being exposed like that. Shaky hands caught Jungkook's legs in an instant as her eyes pleaded for mercy.
"Then tell me, write or do anything... just tell me the reason, and..." Leaning a bit to her level, Jungkook's one eye again turned white, making her gasp and flinch back in terror. "I just want truth."
Throwing a swift glance at Elder Lee, who wore a very unexplainable expression after witnessing the odd eyes for the first time, the maid tilted her neck sideways, exposing a dark patch of skin after removing the scarf she always had.
Frowning at the undefined mark, Jungkook knelt in front of her, looking displeased. "What's that?"
"A bondage spell mark."
Whipping his neck on the words to gawk at the elder Lee, Jungkook was already on his feet. He did hear about this marking spell but never saw one. A spell to keep one person bound to follow you, till their death, to do whatever you ask for... to be your lifetime slave, and disobeying means pain, unbearable, unbeatable pain.
But the question was, why would someone do that to her when she was already in the slavery of his mother?! Just with that mildly clear question, he gulped thickly and faced the maid again.
"Is it true?" She nodded lightly, her eyes brimming with tears that she quickly wiped away before getting on her feet, her hands gesturing to get the notebook and pen placed on the table.
"Go ahead." Elder Lee encouraged her, and she was quick to scribble something on it in a rush before handing it to Jungkook, her eyes still having a plea.
'Someone from the Han clan is already on your tail, Sire. They are tainting your mate using this chance of distance to make you mate less. Also, they even cast that spell on your mate to render him out of your reach. They also put this spell on me to make me stay silent once I saw them approaching the new Luna. It all happened the night when Luna disappeared from the house. I saw them, sire. Please, save our Luna. Save both of them.'
Shifting his gaze to the maid, Jungkook looked more perplexed. Why would Han clan try to do so after so many years when there is already a treaty? But wait-
"Do you know about the treaty between two clans?" She gulped before nodding and gently took the notebook again to write more.
'It was signed between the two clans in front of me because I was a servant at that time, too. Han Jeonghyun... the younger sister of Luna denied the marriage, and Luna had to follow the command of her father.'
"And then?"
'Everything was fine till a betrayer broke the bond between the two clans, leading to the complete elimination of any sort of connection. It was going like that, but now, the son of that person is trying to follow the path of his father, trying to repeat the history, but now, he is giving birth to a new animosity between the clans.'
"Names?"
She bit her lips, shaking her head. Of course, her spell won't allow her to let it out this easily, but the hints were enough for now, slightly soothing that it wasn't his mother.
The way Taehyung acted must be due to the spell he was in, and that person intended to do that to increase the distance between them to break their newly built bond, and looking at all the hints and possibilities, Wangji was the only one. All the things were pointing at him, and him being a Warlock was the biggest one.
Lee took a small glance at the two, his expression confused when Jungkook gritted his teeth before leaving the house, without a single word.
The maid slowly turned her head to see the disappearing figure of Jungkook before bowing at the elder and leaving the house as well, not before smirking on her way when something buzzed in her pocket.
Going to the back side of the pack house that remained deserted as ever, she took out the small phone from her secret pocket and received the call.
"All done?" The gruff voice asked, and her grin widened hearing that.
Licking her dry lips, she glanced once more around before her lips trembled.
"All done."
