26: Why again!

Ignore mistakes, please

Third person P.O.V

The road was still silent as ever if the low grunts of the car and growls of the wolves could be avoided, but it was too difficult for the blue-haired who was breathing heavily, desperately trying to get out of the car.

Another loud growl and Taehyung felt his movements getting harsher, causing the belt to finally let go off of his figure, and soon he tumbled out of the car, groaning lightly at the dizziness. His hand involuntarily moved up to his head that throbbed with each little movement of his body, only to find something warm over his fingertips.

The thump behind him made him quickly look back, a shrike almost leaving his lips, but he gulped it down and softly scooted back, trying again not to get the attention of the wolves standing there because he was hidden behind the car. The wolf howled, his voice echoing, and suddenly, the whole area was filled with their howls.

Taehyung's back collided with the wall, making him realize that he was stuck between the car and the wall of the abandoned building. It took a few moments before he recalled his phone, but unfortunately, the screen was broken when he found it after searching silently, all while the wolves were busy howling.

"Hyung, wake up, please." Shaking the male, Taehyung whispered, but Hoseok was out cold, and it made the male more than scared. Surrounded by a whole bunch of angry beasts, with his hyung not responding, probably quite injured and stuck on the road... were enough reasons to make him panic.

Taking a deep breath, he tried to open his phone and call an ambulance first and then maybe some other help, but the cracked screen didn't let him touch it properly, bringing tears of helplessness to his eyes.

Those lips that smiled a few hours ago, wobbled, but he bit them harshly when the area went all silent... silent to the point that he could hear his own breaths and the silence was gone when a car screeched right where he was stuck. A huge sigh of relief passed his lips when very familiar faces came into his view.

"Hyung!"

"Oh my Lord!" He heard Hyuna shrieking after Soobin's shout with Yeonjun already coming to help him out of the place. But like a lightning bolt struck his brain, he shook his head for the youngsters to stay away, afraid that wolves would hurt them.

The wolves growled again, rushed to the side to get them all, and Taehyung cried out in fear for the three innocent students and his hyung who was already wounded, God knows how much.

Soobin was pushing the car away from the wall so that his hyung could be rescued while Hyuna tried to get Hoseok out and Yeonjun was on high alert because of the wolves surrounding them.

"Hurry up!" Yeonjun looked freaked out, his stance ready to fight with a baseball bat in his tight grip that he got from his car, and Taehyung dreaded the outcome if he actually started to defend against those beasts. The hands around his torso dragged him out, forcing out a strangled groan of pain when his legs scratched over the broken glass, quickly emitting blood from there, too.

"Soobin - "

"It's alright, hyung. We are here, don't be afraid of them." Soobin, even when looked panicked, said confidently with affirmation in his eyes.

Taehyung clutched over the younger's sweater when he was halfway lifted away from the crushed car. "Hyung-"

"Hyuna got him," Soobin answered and was about to take the blue-haired to his car who had many questions in his head when something caught his attention, and probably of everyone else except Taehyung, who was facing away from the wolves.

A shiver ran down Taehyung's spine when very familiar sounds spread around the road... even Soobin was frozen with a tight hold around his body, supporting it, and he was grateful for that because those sounds were literally playing the whole night again in front of his eyes, and deep down, he was aware of who was standing behind him, not standing but killing the wolves in a speed of light.

Taehyung tried to turn back to face the person, the source of the dark aura around the place, but couldn't get the courage. His shaky pupils were just fixed on Hoseok, who was in Hyuna's arms, looking pale as a sheet of paper and begging for some medical attention as soon as possible.

The lights from Yeonjun's car were enough to spot the deep, very deep cut on Hoseok's neck, which was bleeding at a high speed, and Hyuna's hands shaking while trying to cover the wound. Without noticing any other chaos happening there, Taehyung wriggled out of Soobin's hold to stumble down towards Hoseok with wide eyes and a hammering heart. His hyung, his precious hyung, was so badly wounded, and that was shaking up his whole demeanor.

"Hyung! No... he is bleeding so badly." Taehyung's voice was wavering when he almost snatched Hoseok's limp body from Hyuna's hold, who couldn't do except for biting her lips harshly.

Taking off his own hoodie, he tried to wrap the sleeves around Hoseok's neck to stop the excessive bleeding, but it felt like glass might've pierced through a vein because his efforts seemed futile.

"So- Soobin! Call an ambulance, please. He is badly injured! Please, Hyuna, Yeonjun!" The three students reminded silent, and Taehyung felt his mind would go haywire.

"DO SOMETHING! SAVE MY HYUNG! Please... please, save him!" His cries replaced all the previous horrendous sounds all while he tried his best to stop bleeding, and when Hyuna tried to touch his trembling shoulders when he decided to take the car and the three frozen poor humans who must be terrified by the view unfolding in front of them just like he was... she gasped and was soon on her knees with her head hanging low.

Noticing the more thuds followed by her knees hitting the concrete harshly, Taehyung looked around and forgot to breathe when they all murmured something under their breaths to a specific person standing behind him.

"Sire."

Sire? Just a single word was like a bundle of bricks thrown over his head, another reminder of how stupid he can be sometimes to believe someone so easily.

"S- Sire, mercy..." It was Soobin's voice, but Taehyung didn't gaze back, feeling very bewildered by the situations stabbing him one by one mercilessly. For God's grace, he just started to forget... OK, not forget, but at least bury them a bit to live normally, then why now?! WHY AGAIN!

His fear was there... it never went away, but he had a dying man in his arms, the one who sacrificed his rest and peace for his sake.

The heavy breathing of Hyuna and the slow ones of Hoseok were ringing in his ears beside the loud beating of his own heart when he felt someone already there, just a few inches away from touching his back. He knew... he knew it well that if he turned back, he would be coming across those blazing red or either those soul-eating white eyes, but for Hoseok...

"Let him go, please." His hold on Hoseok's torso tightened, one hand still pressing against the blood-leaking neck, and his voice came out filled with venom.

There was silence, complete silence before he heard shuffling, and the man behind him crouched, and in the next second, his hand was grabbed by the bloody claw-like hands, sending a jolt on his whole limb as he yanked it away from the hold and pushed the male away with the same hand, still not looking at his face.

"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HIM! Wait - what are you doing?! Stay away! STAY AWAY FROM MY HYUNG!" Taehyung's eyes widened in horror when the raven-haired male removed his hold from Hoseok's body and briefly gazed up at Hyuna with his white eyes, and the girl was already holding onto his body, rendering him immobile as he watched the beast sitting there and giving him a look that left him frozen..... once again.

Those white eyes felt piercing like ever, and Taehyung felt a stinging on his mark, whimpering lowly when Jungkook kept on staring at him for a minute, not looking at where the latter's hands were but when he saw, his eyes showed pure shock.

He saw it with his own eyes, how Hoseok's wound healed, patched up right in front of his eyes... leaving a scar, no flesh, and blood except for what flowed out before. Jungkook just healed his hyung using his hand?! Was it even possible?!

It wasn't only Taehyung who was beyond shocked... those three 'students' weren't different from him as well.

Hyuna quickly let go of Taehyung's body when Jungkook's full focus was back on the blue-haired, resulting in the human falling back if it wasn't for the new holdover his back.

Taehyung's eyes involuntarily moved up to those white eyes that were again changing between the three colors before stopping at white, almost knocking the air out of his lungs when he recalled the outcome of the familiar scenario from the past.

"H - hyung,"

"He is fine." Taehyung was in a daze, still, he definitely heard Hyuna and Soobin gasping in what felt like disbelief, but he was too out of it to clarify when he saw Jungkook moving his right hand up to touch his blue hair... no, maybe his forehead, halting before wiping the blood on the black robe, cleaning it.

"It's all fine." Jungkook breathed out, now slowly pressing his fingers over Taehyung's forehead to which the latter felt utter coldness but was too frozen to get out of the hold or the touch.

"Mate is fine," Taehyung won't lie, but he might've witnessed a little curve of lips when the raven-haired said that, and it was literally making his inside churn in a weird way.

After a few seconds, Jungkook pulled his hands away from Taehyung's head, and his eyes shifted to the three youngsters, as if talking with them in their heads and in the next moment, all three of them were already placing Hoseok in their car, dragging the blue-haired out of the daze.

"Wait! Where are you taking him?! Hyung?! Leave me, Hyung!"

Taehyung's panicked questions remained unanswered because he was also picked up by Jungkook who breathed out near his ear by bringing him closer to his chest. "Close your eyes. It's ugly to witness."

Hearing the command, which felt a bit softer but still stern, the blue-haired looked more panicked and tried to get free of the hold only to fail for the nth time till he was all dizzy and leaning over the buff chest, where an odd scent clouded his mind.

With his slightly awake brain, he looked around the very familiar place and closed his eyes in annoyance, plus the exhaustion of another series of failed attempts because he was in the same room where he spent weeks in desperation to leave only... he was back, back to the pack... why again!
