"Lionclaw, who is this?" asked Firestar when we got to the Thunderclan camp.
"This is...wait, what's your name?"
"I'm Goldenp-"I stopped. If I told them my real name, they would start asking questions. So instead, I said,"Golden. The name's Golden."
"Right. Her name is Golden and she wants to join the clan," said Lionclaw.
Yowls filled the air telling Firestar not to let me join. It took every ounce of strength I had to keep my paws on the ground.
"Firestar, don't let her stay! She's a kittypet!"yowled a pretty light gray she-cat with light blue eyes.
I couldn't hold it anymore. She had just called me a kittypet! I leapt at her, claws unsheathed. I had her pinned before she could blink. "Are you sure I'm a kittypet?" I hissed.
"Golden, get off her now," said Firestar. I obeyed and got off her. As I looked closer at her I realized she was Dovepaw. I knew every single one of these cats from watching them in Dark Forest. After all, one must know their enemies and their weaknesses.
A few cats stared at me with wide eyes. I had just beaten their best apprentice in only a few seconds.
Firestar leapt on to Highrock. I was suddenly surrounded by darkness.
"Goldenpaw, have you got bees in your brain?! Asking for a place in the clan? You were supposed to destroy them, not become one of them!" I turned around to face the all too familiar voice of Hawkfrost. His words had gone right past me.
"Look Hawkfrost. It's called an enemy from within. I get to know them, their weaknesses, everything. And then, I strike. It'll hurt them more to know their "most loyal clanmate" was not who they thought she was."
"Yes, Goldenpaw, very good plan. Make sure you stay strong for Dark Forest and not let those soft clan cats soften you up," meowed Tigerstar as he came out of the shadows.
"I won't Tigerstar. I can't believe they even lived for so long! They're so easy to beat!"
"Yes they are, Goldenpaw. Be sure to crush them and remember why you were sent there."
I was a little surprised and confused by how many times he was telling me to remember why I was sent and all that. He didn't usually do this. I simply shrugged it off as I was brought back to the Thunderclan camp.
"Goldenpaw! Goldenpaw!" the clan cheered. I was really confused until I realized I had done the entire apprentice ceremony without knowing. Apparently I was given a place in the clan too.
"Ready to check out the territory?" Lionclaw asked.
I nodded.
