7. The shakes

Start song: liability by lorde.

I'm going a way for five days without wifi on monday so here's your update until next week :(

It seemed simpler to practice at home in his driveway, his parents watching from the large bay window. They had a net nailed right above their garage door and seeing as their driveway wasn't tilted it was perfect and much more convenient then staying late after school to practice long shots. Yet although he could practice at home his dad thought it would better in a gym.

He didn't want to practice at school, especially on a night where he didn't even have to be there but undeniably he was in the gym at 5pm with Brendon and Dallon instead of being at home. His parents both told him that the gym would probably be better for him so here he was, bored out of his mind making nearly every shot no matter the distance while his best friends sat in the bleachers making eyes at each other.

The school was completely barren at this hour, a few teachers did remain though, his coach had been here earlier to give him access and permission to use the gym but he'd soon left.

Tyler definitely wasn't in the mood to be playing.

His headache was at least gone but now there was a new ache. He was getting smaller and maybe it was because he was having a long day, or maybe it was because Brendon and Dallon had been praising every little shot he made. he felt endearingly like a kid with his parents in the bleachers. Definitely the last one.

He stood on the middle line that divided the gym, it was a solid blue and he got in position so he could just make the shot.

"Yes! Go Tyler!" Brendon hollered and his voice echoed around the gym in the loudest way and Tyler didn't know if he wanted to laugh or throw the ball directly at Brendon.

"Please, shut up." He groaned but they all knew he was enjoying it as he was smiling right after. He got back in position and made the shot, maybe the twentieth, of thirtieth shot he's made. He was keeping count, he couldn't with Brendon cheering him on as loud as possible.

Dallon and Brendon went to every single one of his games, Ashley did too but although she did come for Tyler she ended up staring endearingly at Lynn as she was a cheerleader and the first person Tyler hugged after a game.

"Ty, go all the way to the back!" Dallon said standing from the bleachers with Brendon. They were moving down a few rows since they'd decided to sit in the very last row.

"By the wall?" Tyler asked, tight grip on the basketball, already taking steps backwards towards the furthest wall away from the net. He'd done longer shots, full court shots before and Dallon and Brendon freaked out whenever he landed it in. Which was practically every time.

"Yeah! I bet you can make it."

"Hell yeah he can!" Brendon cheered and Tyler couldn't help but smile. They both sat down as close to the bottom of the bleachers and Tyler's heel was already on the black line indicating the end of the court.

"Do it! Do it! Do it." They chanted together, earning Tyler to laugh and point a finger at them. Although he tended to be more childish his friends definitely had their moments.

"Okay okay i'm doing it, be quiet." Tyler said as he adjusted his positioning and arms, he moved around a bit trying to find the best angle. He made the shot and his heart raced as it flew across the gym and landed in the net. The moment it dropped back down he was jumping with excitement.

"Holy shit." Dallon yelled already starting to clap. Tyler was just slightly surprised he made it but nonetheless broke out into a smile.

"I-i did it." He grinned happily as his friends began walking over, he met them half way but stopped when Brendon picked up his pace.

"Tiny you're so so good." Brendon yelled as he ran over and brought Tyler in for a hug, he practically picked him up off the floor, his feet dangling. He squeezed tight and Tyler couldn't help but laugh and feel light headed.

"Put me down." He whined in Brendon's arms.

"I just, shit you're amazing you know that? Like you're really good, you'll definitely get that scholarship you've been after." Brendon said as his grip on the brunet loosened. Tyler let out a deep breath and pushed Brendon off of him just as Dallon stood beside them.

"Bren's right, you'll be in the big leagues one day."

"That was just a court shot." Tyler said shyly, ducking his head down. Praise was hard to get used to, he never knew what to say and he always blushed especially when it was on his basketball skills.

"Not even that though! Just in general you've got good technique." Dallon said brightly and Tyler was leaning forward and bringing him in for a big hug, wrapping his arms around his waist.

He let go after a few seconds and Brendon was staring at him as he leaned into Dallon.

"What?"

"You don't believe us do you?" Brendon asked knowingly an eye brow raised. Tyler didn't say a word but he knew what was coming the moment Brendon's hands made contact with his stomach. He couldn't help but start laughing as Brendon merrily started tickling him.

Dallon let go of him as Tyler clutched his stomach to stop Brendon but regardless he was falling to the floor from how hard he was laughing. Brendon got situated on top of him so Tyler was trapped. He was quickly regressing but he didn't care.

"Brennie- stop- ah, it tickles." He whined between fits of laughter, arms pushing on Brendon's chest. Brendon stopped for a second leaving Tyler some time to breathe, he was still giggling helplessly, face flushed, hair ruffled from his head rocking against the gym floor.

"It should. The tickle monsters out to get you," Brendon went back in and Tyler was helpless and stuck as fingers tickled him, he was definitely little now, his voice dropping whatever deepness it had.

"Dally h-help." Tyler squeaked as Brendon tickled his sides and then his stomach. Tyler couldn't stop laughing and squirming on the floor.

"Sorry little guy, i don't wanna mess with the tickle monster." Dallon said amused as he patted his boyfriend on the head. Tyler whined and he let out a gasp when Brendon's hands went underneath his arm pits, he squeezed his arms to his sides but it did nothing.

"Say you believe us Tiny, you're the best basketball player on the entire team." Brendon said, fingers grazing his sides again and then the side of his neck making Tyler duck his head down as he giggled.

"You's mea-" Tyler was cut off though and everybody froze as Tyler's laughter faltered and the absolute worst thing he could imagine happening happened.

"Uh, what's going on here?" Mr.Dun's voice rang sharp through the gym, the door slamming behind him making Tyler flinch. The little didn't even move, he was immediately scared and confused but he knew exactly who had just walked in and immediately went shy and tense.

His friends were caught off guard too but Dallon was quick to step up in front of the two on the floor.

"Oh, uh, we're just hanging out. Coach Remy said it was alright." Dallon said quickly, as he started pulling Brendon off of Tyler.

Brendon got up off of Tyler's stomach and brought his hand to help Tyler up as well but he just pouted and crossed his arms. They were all aware of the situation but Tyler could barely process it, all he knew was the he needed to be pressed beside Dallon right now, he pointed at him shyly and ignored the fact that there was somebody else in the gym.

Mr.Dun had a raised eyebrow as he walked over, clearly having seen the entire exchange. Dallon was quick to help Tyler up. The brunet clinging to him as soon as he was off the floor.

He snuggled into Dallon automatically, eyes strung but he heard footsteps and his eyes went big at the sight of his teacher all pretty, he was intimidating though, especially in little space so Tyler shrunk more. he was  sporting cherry red cheeks, words failing him when they made eye contact. He clung to Dallon tighter and shut his eyes again.

"Tyler are you alright?" Mr.Dun asked, voice raspy, arms crossed. He didn't look upset, more so concerned and curious. He was tilting his head to get a better look at him. Tyler had no idea about what to do, he practically whimpered.

"Yeah he's uh great." Brendon replied for him, leaning in beside the brunet so Tyler was sandwiched between him and Dallon.

"Right Ty? you're okay hmm?" He hummed and he regretted this instantly knowing that he was acting as a care giver as he swiped some hair out of Tyler's face making him burn up more. When he was in little space he was incredibly shy, it had taken him months to feel comfortable around his friends.

Tyler was wordless but he nodded anyways, he could feel his teacher looking at him. He could feel his gorgeous teacher looking at him but he'd never admit that he found him attractive, he blushed even thinking about him.

Mr.Dun cleared his throat and addressed the three as a group. "Sorry, I was just passing by. Remy actually wanted me to let you three know it's getting late and you have to go home. Janitor's coming to clean the gym in 5 anyways."

"Yeah, yeah we were actually just about to head out." Brendon said, letting go of the two as he grabbed Tyler's basketball that sat a few feet away.

"Yeah, it's getting late we've been here for like an hour." Dallon added on quickly, tugging on Tyler's wrist but the little refused to let go of his grasp around Dallon's waist. The oldest looked at the teacher with a nervous smile before leaning down and whispering in Tyler's ear.

"Bumble, if you let go of me and take my hand instead i'll treat you and Bren to some strawberry milkshakes."

Mr.Dun watched and Brendon wasn't sure if it was in confusion or intrigue as he joined his friends, basketball under his arm.

Tyler perked up at the mention of milkshakes and loosened his grip on Dallon instead leaning into him gently. His fingers slipped down to grip Dallon's.

Words were failing him, he was too overwhelmed, too shy and having his teacher's eyes on him wasn't helping. He wasn't looking at anything, everything was out focus.

"Are you sure hes alright?" Mr.Dun asked once more, directing the question to Brendon instead of Tyler this time since it was clear Tyler wasn't going to talk as he curled into Dallon.

Tyler focused on his teacher's voice, it was soothing although he was scared of him he looked up to meet his teacher's eyes. The brunet had no smile on his quivering lip, his eyes were wide.

Mr.Dun's expression was sincere with worry and their eye contact broke when Brendon started talking. Causing both Tyler and Mr.Dun to look elsewhere.

"Yeah, definitely. Dallon accidentally dropped a basketball on his head." Brendon said with a smile, earning a light tap on the top of his head from Dallon.

"No i didn't." He said to assure the teacher. Mr.Dun looked unconvinced, taking shy glances at Tyler to make sure he was actually alright. The little couldn't hold eye contact again, he just stared at the floor, shaking against Dallon, cheeks flushed red.

Silence settled and the oldest of the four broke it seeing that there was nothing left to say.

"Okay.....well have a goodnight boys." He gestured to the three before turning to Tyler.

"Bye." Dallon and Brendon said at the same time.

"And see you in class tomorrow Tyler." His tone was soft and gentle and Tyler practically melted. He nodded in the smallest way before Mr.Dun did the same and actually started walking away, hands shoved deep in his pockets.

"Bye-bye." Tyler whispered quietly as his friends begin to lead him out. Mr.Dun didn't look back but he heard him.

*

Dallon drove them to a nearby diner, Tyler letting out small whimpers as he curled into Brendon's lap in the front seat. As soon as they'd left the building realization hit him and he had started sobbing quietly.

He'd held both Dallon and Brendon's hands as they walked and he was shaking the entire time and in the truck Brendon was fast to take out his small stuffed bear.

The diner was comforting though, he was in little space, completely indulged in it. Tyler would be in it for a while after that, he wasn't ready to be anything else but little for the moment. He couldn't, he wasn't ready to truly face what had just happened even subconsciously, even in little space he knew.

It had triggered him even further back somehow, he could only form small words and sounds.

He was in Dallon's lap now, Dallon holding the milkshake for Tyler so he could drink. He was refusing to drink on his own and since there was practically nobody in there besides the group of three he was fine with it.

Brendon would find away to play it off as something else regardless.

"Tiny, you okay?"

He shook his head and pouted before looking up at Dallon endearingly.

Dallon sighed and the straw was brought back up to his lips, he took a quick sip and rested his head on Dallon's chest, his best friend rubbing one of his shoulders.

"Tyler I need you to be a big boy okay?" Dallon started calmly, setting Tyler off of his lap. The little let out a soft whine but didn't try to get back up.

"We can't bring you home like this." Dallon continued. Brendon was texting Ashley the whole affair.

"Tyler, can you be big for me, big for Dallon and Ashley and I?" Brendon asked looking up from his phone, he was being delicate but he wasn't talking to him like a child, his tone was far from it.

"Ashley?" Tyler said excitedly, looking around. He was completely out of it, all remnants of the incident with his teacher forgotten for the time being.

Dallon laughed and brought Tyler's gaze back to him. "She's not here right now. But do you want to call her though? Tell her what happened for me and Bren?"

"I, I cans?" He asks with big eyes, glancing back between Dallon and Brendon.

"Yea, but you've gotta be big." Dallon said firmly. He needed Tyler to be able to go home, he knew Tyler's parents well enough to know that he wouldn't be allowed to sleepover anywhere tonight.

"I am, b-big!" Tyler said with a pout as he poked the milkshake glass in front of him.

"Okay then take out your phone."

Tyler nodded and searched his pockets until he was holding his phone and tapping at it until it unlocked. Dallon was impressed, although he was being particularly grabby with it he was navigating to the phone app and searching through contacts.

His two best friends watched as Tyler clicked on Ashley's contact until it was ringing.

Ashi 🐯🌼⭐️

She picked up on the first ring.

"Tyler you there?" Her voice rang through the speaker phone. The diner was perfectly quiet so she was clear as day.

"Y-yeah, M'here." He said, nervously glancing at Brendon and Dallon as reality started sinking back in.

"How you doing?"

"No good."

"Talk to me." She said automatically knowing that he needed to. He needed all his friends there with him, even if one was through his phone.

And so he did, he talked to Ashley until he was no longer in little space, until he was crying and all the three of them we're comforting him. Pure embarrassment washed over him as they talked things over and although he wasn't in little space he got Brendon to sit beside him so they could all hug.
